Surely the dwellers of heaven, that Day, are in an affair quite delightful.
They and their wives are in pleasant shade, reclining on raised thrones.
They have fruits therein and (every) thing they ask for.
(There is) a Word: “Peace” from the Lord, the Most Merciful.
O Children of Adam, did I not take a Covenant from you, that you should not be servants to Satan? Surely he (Satan) is your obvious enemy.
And (did I not take a covenant) that you should become servants to Me? This is (to be on) Sıratı Mustakîm (the Path directed towards Allah).
And certainly he (Satan) left in Misguidance a great multitude of you. Do you still not, then, use your minds?
Prop yourselves against it (enter into it) this Day because you disbelieved.
Today, We seal up their mouths. Their hands speak to Us and their feet bear witness of what they earned (committed).
And if We had willed, We would certainly wreck havoc (blind) their eyes, then they would run about on the way. After this, how should they see?
And had We willed, We would surely have changed them in their places, then they would have been unable to go forward and backward.
And whomsoever We cause to live long, We reverse him in creation (take his strength away). Do they still not then use their minds?
And We have not taught him (the Prophet) poetry, and this would not be suitable for him. This is nothing else than a Reminder (Dhikr) and plain Qur'ân (that is revealed to him).
(The descent of the Qur'ân) is to warn those who are alive and that the Word (of the Torment) may prove true against the disbelievers.
