Al-Mujadila, Surah The Woman Who Disputes (Qur'an: Surat-58-Al-Mujadila)

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-1
58/Al-Mujadila-1: Allah indeed had heard the word of her who disputed with you about her husband and made her complaint to Allah. And Allah hears your conversing with each other. Surely Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-2
58/Al-Mujadila-2: Those amongst you who turn their backs to their wives that they are not their mothers. Their mothers are only those who gave them birth. And most surely they utter a denying (hideous) and sinful word. Most surely Allah is Most-Merciful, Oft- Forgiving.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-3
58/Al-Mujadila-3: They turn their backs to their wives then retract from what they said. In such case he should free a slave before they touch each other. This is what you are advised and Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-4
58/Al-Mujadila-4: Then whoever cannot find (a slave or concubine to set free), let him fast two consecutive months before touching (his wives). But whoever is not able (to fast), let him feed sixty needy (those who cannot work, elderly). This is because you have faith in Allah and His Messenger, and this is Allah’s limit, and there is a painful torment for the disbelievers.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-5
58/Al-Mujadila-5: Surely those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (Their limits) are abased as those before them were abased. And We had sent down clear Verses (proofs) and for the disbelievers is an abasing torment.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-6
58/Al-Mujadila-6: On that Day Allah will raise them all up (resurrect them). Then will inform them of what they did. Allah has counted of (recorded) what they have forgotten. Allah is a Witness over all things.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-7
58/Al-Mujadila-7: Have you not seen that Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and in the earth? There is no secret talk between the three but He (Allah) is the fourth of them, and nor (a talk) of five but He (Allah) is the sixth of them. And less than this or more than this wheresoever they may be but He (Allah) is with them. Later on the Day of Resurrection He will inform them of what they did. Surely Allah is All-Knowing of all things.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-8
58/Al-Mujadila-8: Have you not seen those who were forbidden of secret talk? Then they return to what they are forbidden. They talk amongst each other on the topics of sin, enmity and rebellion to the Messenger. And when they came to you, they greeted you with a greeting with which Allah does not greet you. And they say amongst themselves: “If that’s the case (if he is a true prophet) should Allah not torment us for what we say”? Hell is sufficient for them. They will prop themselves against it (they will be thrown in it). How evil indeed is that destination.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-9
58/Al-Mujadila-9: O you who believe (those who believe in Allah, have faith in Him)! When you talk secretly amongst each other, do not talk on the topics of sin, enmity and rebellion to the Messenger in secrecy. Talk about Al-Birr and Taqwâ (piety). And become the owners of piety towards Allah, to Whom you shall be gathered (in His Presence).
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-10
58/Al-Mujadila-10: Secret counsels (whispering conspiracies) are from Satan which is to cause those who believe (who wish to reach Allah before death) to grieve. And it cannot harm them in the least except with Allah’s Permission. Therefore the believers should put their trust in Allah.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-11
58/Al-Mujadila-11: O you who believe (who are âmenû)! When it is said to you in assemblies: “Make room (for others to sit)”, then make room. Allah will also give you (ample) room. And when it is said: “Rise up!”, then rise up immediately. Allah increases the degrees of those of you who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before death), and given knowledge. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-12
58/Al-Mujadila-12: O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah before death)! When you consult the Messenger in private, then give alms before your private consultation. This is better for you and purer. But if you cannot find (alms to give), then surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-13
58/Al-Mujadila-13: Did you fear of giving alms before your private consultation? Then when you cannot do it Allah accepted your repentance. Therefore keep up the prayer, give alms (Az-Zakât), obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-14
58/Al-Mujadila-14: Have you not seen those who have turned (befriended) to people (the Jews) who have incurred the Wrath of Allah? They are neither of you nor of them (of the Jews). They knowingly swear to a lie.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-15
58/Al-Mujadila-15: Allah has prepared for them (the disbelievers) a severe torment. Surely what they have done is terrible.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-16
58/Al-Mujadila-16: They have taken their oaths a shield. Thus they hindered (others) from the Way of Allah. So there is an abasing (humiliating) torment for them.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-17
58/Al-Mujadila-17: Neither their wealth nor their children shall avail them against a thing (torment) from Allah. They are the inmates of the Fire, therein they shall abide forever.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-18
58/Al-Mujadila-18: On that Day Allah will raise (resurrect) them up all. Then they will swear to Him as they used to swear to you. And they assume that they are upon something. Are they not surely the liars?
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-19
58/Al-Mujadila-19: Satan has surrounded them, so he has made them forget Dhikr (the remembrance) of Allah. They are the party of Satan. Satan’s party, are they not surely the ones who are in Loss?
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-20
58/Al-Mujadila-20: Surely those who exceed the limit against Allah and His Messenger, they are in abasement.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-21
58/Al-Mujadila-21: Allah has written: “I and My Messengers will most certainly be victorious”. Surely Allah is All-Strong, All- Mighty.
Listen Quran: 58/Al-Mujadila-22
58/Al-Mujadila-22: You cannot find a people who believe in Allah and the Latter Day (reaching Allah before death) loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even though they are their fathers, their sons, their siblings or their tribesman. These are they into whose hearts He (Allah) has written Faith and strengthened them with a Spirit from Himself (the spirit of the Imam of the Time who is educated in His Presence settles over their heads). And He will include them into heavens under which the rivers flow. They are the ones who will abide therein forever. Allah is Well-Pleased with them and they are well-pleased with Him (Allah). They are the Party Allah. The Party of Allah are not those surely who have attained Salvation?
