An-Nisa-6, Surah 4-The Women (An-Nisa) Verse# 6

4/An-Nisa-6: Put the orphans to the test until they reach the age of marriage; then if you find in them sound judgment, release them their property and do not consume it extravagantly and hastily, lest they grow up (take their property back) and if (the guardian) is rich, let him be honest (let him abstain altogether) but if he (the guardian) is poor, let him eat on reasonably based on the customs. Then when you release their property to them, take witness in their presence; and Allah is All-Sufficient as Reckoner. (English Transliteration: Vabtalool yateamea haattea izea balaagoon nikeah(nikeahaa), fa in eanastum minhum rushdan fadfaoo ilayhim amvealahum, va lea ta’kuloohea isreafan va bidearan an yakbaroo. Va man keana gaaniyyan falyastaa’fif, va man keana faakeeraan falya’kul bil maa’roof(maa’roofi). Fa izea dafaa’tum ilayhim amvealahum fa ashhidoo aalayhim. Va kafea billeahi haaseebea(haaseeban).)
