9/At-Tawbah-69: You are like those before you. They were stronger than you in power and more abundant in wealth and children. So they enjoyed their portion; thus have you enjoyed your portion as those before you enjoyed their portion. And you have engaged (in worldly things) like that in which they engaged. These are they whose deeds are in vain. These are they who are the losers.
9/At-Tawbah-70: Has not the news of those before them come to them; of the people of Noah (Nûh), ‘Âd, and Thamûd, the people of Abraham, the dwellers of Madyan and the overturned cities. Their Messengers came to them with the clear proofs. So it was not Allah Who wronged them, but they used to wrong themselves.
9/At-Tawbah-71: And the believing men and the believing women, they are friends of each other. They enjoin Al-Ma’rûf and forbid from Al-Munkar and keep up the prayer and give alms (the Zakât) and obey Allah and His Messenger. These, Allah will show mercy to them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
9/At-Tawbah-72: Allah has promised to the believing men and the believing women Heavens under which the rivers flow to abide in them forever. Good and clean mansions in Gardens of Adn. The greatest (of all these) is a Pleasure of Allah. That is the greatest Salvation.
