Transliteration: Wama ataytum min riban liyarbuwa fee amwali alnnasi fala yarboo AAinda Allahi wama ataytum min zakatin tureedoona wajha Allahi faolaika humu almudAAifoona
And whatever you lay out as usury (ribâ) in order that it may increase on people’s property (dhikr you have made without wishing to reach Allah while you are living), it shall not increase in the Presence (Sight) of Allah (with Allah) [it does not constitute the lights in your souls’ hearts and does not increase them] and whatever you give in zakât (its Arabic root means: purification and augmentation) seeking Allah’s Face (Zât, Essence) (seeking to reach Allah (dhikr what you have made): it is these that shall get manifold (it is these persons who will increase the lights in their souls’ hearts).
