Transliteration: Yasaloonaka AAani alahillati qul hiya mawaqeetu lilnnasi waalhajji walaysa albirru bian tatoo albuyoota min thuhooriha walakinna albirra mani ittaqa watoo albuyoota min abwabiha waittaqoo Allaha laAAallakum tuflihoona
They ask you about the crescent moons. Say: These are signs to mark fixed periods of time for mankind and for the pilgrimage. And it is not Al-Birr (righteous deed that makes men worthy of Paradise) that you enter the houses from their backs (as they used to enter them in the period of Ignorance) but Al-Birr is (the quality of the one) who is pious (the owner of piety, “takvâ”) So enter the houses through their proper doors, and become pious that you may be succesful (you may attain to the Bliss in the Hereafter and the Happiness in the worldly life).
