71/Noah-1: Inna arsalna noohan ila qawmihi an anthir qawmaka min qabli an yatiyahum AAathabun aleemun
Surely We sent Noah (as a Messenger) to his people (saying):Warn your people before a painful torment comes to them.
71/Noah-2: Qala ya qawmi innee lakum natheerun mubeenun
He said: O my people! Surely I am a plain warner to you:
71/Noah-3: Ani oAAbudoo Allaha waittaqoohu waateeAAooni
That you should serve (become servants to) Allah and have piety towards Him and obey (depend on ) me :
71/Noah-4: Yaghfir lakum min thunoobikum wayuakhkhirkum ila ajalin musamman inna ajala Allahi itha jaa la yuakhkharu law kuntum taAAlamoona
So He may forgive you of your faults(sins) [He may change your evil deeds into rewards) and respite you to a named (appointed) term; surely the term of Allah,when it comes , is not postponed; did you but know!
71/Noah-5: Qala rabbi innee daAAawtu qawmee laylan wanaharan
He (Noah) said (to his Lord) ; My Lord! Surely I called my people (to make their spirit reach you) night and day!
71/Noah-6: Falam yazidhum duAAaee illa firaran
But my call has only made them flee the more (from me)
71/Noah-7: Wainnee kullama daAAawtuhum litaghfira lahum jaAAaloo asabiAAahum fee athanihim waistaghshaw thiyabahum waasarroo waistakbaroo istikbaran
And whenever I have called them that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers in their ears (in order not to hear me), covered themselves up with their garments (in order not to see me), and persisted (in their refusal) and magnified themselves (puffed up) with pride.
71/Noah-8: Thumma innee daAAawtuhum jiharan
Then surely I called to them aloud
71/Noah-9: Thumma innee aAAlantu lahum waasrartu lahum israran
Then surely I spoke to them in public and I spoke to them in secret (in private).
71/Noah-10: Faqultu istaghfiroo rabbakum innahu kana ghaffaran
Then I said: Ask forgiveness from your Lord, surely He is Oft-Forgiving.
71/Noah-11: Yursili alssamaa AAalaykum midraran
He will send down upon you the sky as abundance of rain.
71/Noah-12: Wayumdidkum biamwalin wabaneena wayajAAal lakum jannatin wayajAAal lakum anharan
And help you with wealth and sons, and make for you gardens, and make for you rivers
71/Noah-13: Ma lakum la tarjoona lillahi waqaran
What is the matter with you that you do not hope for dignity (greatness, power, excellence) from Allah?
71/Noah-14: Waqad khalaqakum atwaran
And indeed He has created you in diverse stages
71/Noah-15: Alam taraw kayfa khalaqa Allahu sabAAa samawatin tibaqan
Do you not see how Allah has created seven heavens one above another (in harmony)?
71/Noah-16: WajaAAala alqamara feehinna nooran wajaAAala alshshamsa sirajan
And made the moon therein a light (Nûr) and made the sun a lamp?
71/Noah-17: WaAllahu anbatakum mina alardi nabatan
And Allah has made you grow out of the earth as a growth:
71/Noah-18: Thumma yuAAeedukum feeha wayukhrijukum ikhrajan
Then He will return you into it, then will He bring you forth a (new) bringing forth:
71/Noah-19: WaAllahu jaAAala lakumu alarda bisatan
And Allah has made for you the earth a wide expanse,
71/Noah-20: Litaslukoo minha subulan fijajan
That you may go about therein in wide ways.
71/Noah-21: Qala noohun rabbi innahum AAasawnee waittabaAAoo man lam yazidhu maluhu wawaladuhu illa khasaran
Noah said: My Lord! Surely they have rebelled against me (disobeyed me) and followed him whose wealth and children have added to him but loss.
71/Noah-22: Wamakaroo makran kubbaran
And they have plotted a mighty plot
71/Noah-23: Waqaloo la tatharunna alihatakum wala tatharunna waddan wala suwaAAan wala yaghootha wayaAAooqa wanasran
And they have said (to each other): By no means leave your gods, nor leave Wadd, nor Suwâ’; nor Yaghûth, nor Ya’ûg nor Nasr’ (these were the most important idols of that folk)
71/Noah-24: Waqad adalloo katheeran wala tazidi alththalimeena illa dalalan
And (thus) they have left many in Misguidance (they have led astray many) and do not increase the wrongdoers in anything but Misguidance.
71/Noah-25: Mimma khateeatihim oghriqoo faodkhiloo naran falam yajidoo lahum min dooni Allahi ansaran
Because of their faults knowingly done they were drowned, then made to enter Fire, so they did not find any helpers besides Allah.
71/Noah-26: Waqala noohun rabbi la tathar AAala alardi mina alkafireena dayyaran
And Noah said: My Lord! Do not leave upon the earth any dweller (any single individual) from among the disbelievers:
71/Noah-27: Innaka in tatharhum yudilloo AAibadaka wala yalidoo illa fajiran kaffaran
For surely if You leave them (on the earth) they will cause your servants to fall into Misguidance and they will not beget none but wicked (immoral) disbelievers.
71/Noah-28: Rabbi ighfir lee waliwalidayya waliman dakhala baytiya muminan walilmumineena waalmuminati wala tazidi alththalimeena illa tabaran
My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who enters my house as a believer and (all) the believing men and the believing women and do not increase the wrong-doers in anything but destruction (ruin)!
