52/At-Tur-1: Waalttoori
By the Mount (Sinai).
52/At-Tur-2: Wakitabin mastoorin
And the Book written (line by line).
52/At-Tur-3: Fee raqqin manshoorin
In a fine parchment unrolled.
52/At-Tur-4: Waalbayti almaAAmoori
And the House frequented (repaired) (Al-Baitul-Ma’mûr).
52/At-Tur-5: Waalssaqfi almarfooAAi
And the elevated canopy (And the roof, exalted).
52/At-Tur-6: Waalbahri almasjoori
And the sea kept filled.
52/At-Tur-7: Inna AAathaba rabbika lawaqiAAun
Most surely the Torment of your Lord will come to pass.
52/At-Tur-8: Ma lahu min dafiAAin
There shall be none to avert it.
52/At-Tur-9: Yawma tamooru alssamao mawran
On the Day when the heaven will shake with a (dreadful) shaking (when the heaven will sway with a dreadful sway).
52/At-Tur-10: Wataseeru aljibalu sayran
And the mountains will move away with a (horrible) movement.
52/At-Tur-11: Fawaylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Then woe on that Day to the beliers (deniers).
52/At-Tur-12: Allatheena hum fee khawdin yalAAaboona
Those who sport (play about) entering into vain discourses.
52/At-Tur-13: Yawma yudaAAAAoona ila nari jahannama daAAAAan
The Day on which they shall be driven away to the Fire of Hell with a forceful pushing.
52/At-Tur-14: Hathihi alnnaru allatee kuntum biha tukaththiboona
This is the Fire which you used to belie (deny).
52/At-Tur-15: Afasihrun hatha am antum la tubsiroona
Is it magic then or do you not see?
52/At-Tur-16: Islawha faisbiroo aw la tasbiroo sawaon AAalaykum innama tujzawna ma kuntum taAAmaloona
Enter into it (Prop yourselves against it, the Hell-Fire) and whether you are patient of it or impatient of it, it is all the same for you. You are only being requited for what you used to do.
52/At-Tur-17: Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin wanaAAeemin
Surely those who are the owners of piety (takwâ) shall be in Gardens and Blessings.
52/At-Tur-18: Fakiheena bima atahum rabbuhum wawaqahum rabbuhum AAathaba aljaheemi
Enjoying in (happy about) that which their Lord has given them and (because) their Lord saved them from the Torment of the blazing Fire.
52/At-Tur-19: Kuloo waishraboo haneean bima kuntum taAAmaloona
Eat and drink pleasantly because of what you used to do.
52/At-Tur-20: Muttakieena AAala sururin masfoofatin wazawwajnahum bihoorin AAeenin
They (the pious) will recline on couches (thrones) set in lines. And We shall marry them to Hûr (ladies of Heaven) with wide lovely eyes.
52/At-Tur-21: Waallatheena amanoo waittabaAAathum thurriyyatuhum bieemanin alhaqna bihim thurriyyatahum wama alatnahum min AAamalihim min shayin kullu imriin bima kasaba raheenun
And (as for) those who believe (by wishing to reach Allah while they are alive, before dying) and whose offspring depend on (follow) them in Faith; to them shall We join their offspring, and We shall not decrease the reward of their deeds in anything. Every man (person) is a pledge for what he has earned.
52/At-Tur-22: Waamdadnahum bifakihatin walahmin mimma yashtahoona
And We will aid (give) them (with) fruit and flesh such as they desire.
52/At-Tur-23: YatanazaAAoona feeha kasan la laghwun feeha wala tatheemun
They shall pass therein from one to another a (wine) cup wherein there shall be nothing vain nor any sin (nothing inspiring idle talk nor sinful urge).
52/At-Tur-24: Wayatoofu AAalayhim ghilmanun lahum kaannahum luluon maknoonun
And round them shall go boys for them as if they were hidden pearls.
52/At-Tur-25: Waaqbala baAAduhum AAala baAAdin yatasaaloona
They will advance to each other, and ask each other:
52/At-Tur-26: Qaloo inna kunna qablu fee ahlina mushfiqeena
Surely we feared before while we were in the midst of our family.
52/At-Tur-27: Famanna Allahu AAalayna wawaqana AAathaba alssamoomi
Now, Allah has been Gracious to us (Allah has bestowed His Blessings on us) and delivered us from the torment of the scorching heat (of Hell).
52/At-Tur-28: Inna kunna min qablu nadAAoohu innahu huwa albarru alrraheemu
Surely we called upon Him before. Surely He is Al-Barr (The Most Subtle, Kind, Courteous, and Generous), the Most Merciful (the One Who manifests Himself with His Name of Most Merciful).
52/At-Tur-29: Fathakkir fama anta biniAAmati rabbika bikahin wala majnoonin
Therefore (continue to) remind (give admonition), for by the Grace (Blessing) of your Lord, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman (a possessed one).
52/At-Tur-30: Am yaqooloona shaAAirun natarabbasu bihi rayba almanooni
Or do they say: (He is) a poet, we wait for him the sudden coming of the calamity of the time (the strike of the death).
52/At-Tur-31: Qul tarabbasoo fainnee maAAakum mina almutarabbiseena
Say: Wait (Watch), for surely I too with you am of those who wait (watch).
52/At-Tur-32: Am tamuruhum ahlamuhum bihatha am hum qawmun taghoona
Do their minds command them this or are they an inordinate people?
52/At-Tur-33: Am yaqooloona taqawwalahu bal la yuminoona
Or do they say: He has said it by himself (He has forget it). Nay! They do not believe.
52/At-Tur-34: Falyatoo bihadeethin mithlihi in kanoo sadiqeena
Then let them bring a speech (a recital) like it, if they are truthful.
52/At-Tur-35: Am khuliqoo min ghayri shayin am humu alkhaliqoona
Or were they created without there being anything (without any Creator), or are they themselves the creators?
52/At-Tur-36: Am khalaqoo alssamawati waalarda bal la yooqinoona
Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they can have no certainty (concerning Allah).
52/At-Tur-37: Am AAindahum khazainu rabbika am humu almusaytiroona
Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or have they control over them?
52/At-Tur-38: Am lahum sullamun yastamiAAoona feehi falyati mustamiAAuhum bisultanin mubeenin
Or have any stairway (to heaven) by means of which they over-hear (what is said) there? Then let their listener bring a clear authority (proof).
52/At-Tur-39: Am lahu albanatu walakumu albanoona
Or are the daughters for Him and for you the sons? (Or Is He to have daughters and you sons?).
52/At-Tur-40: Am tasaluhum ajran fahum min maghramin muthqaloona
Or do you ask them for a reward (wage), so that they are overburdened by a debt?
52/At-Tur-41: Am AAindahumu alghaybu fahum yaktuboona
Or that the Unseen is with them, and they write (it) down?
52/At-Tur-42: Am yureedoona kaydan faallatheena kafaroo humu almakeedoona
Or do they intend a plot (against you)? But those who disbelieve are themselves plotted against.
52/At-Tur-43: Am lahum ilahun ghayru Allahi subhana Allahi AAamma yushrikoona
Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be Allah from what they associate with Him!
52/At-Tur-44: Wain yaraw kisfan mina alssamai saqitan yaqooloo sahabun markoomun
And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: Piled up clouds.
52/At-Tur-45: Fatharhum hatta yulaqoo yawmahumu allathee feehi yusAAaqoona
Leave them then till they meet that Day of theirs wherein they shall be made to faint (with terror).
52/At-Tur-46: Yawma la yughnee AAanhum kayduhum shayan wala hum yunsaroona
The Day when their plotting shall not avail them at all nor will they be helped.
52/At-Tur-47: Wainna lillatheena thalamoo AAathaban doona thalika walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona
And surely, for those who do wrong, there is torment besides this, but most of them do not know.
52/At-Tur-48: Waisbir lihukmi rabbika fainnaka biaAAyunina wasabbih bihamdi rabbika heena taqoomu
So wait patiently for the Decision (Judgement) of your Lord, for surely you are before Our Eyes, and glorify your Lord with praise when you get up (from sleep).
52/At-Tur-49: Wamina allayli fasabbihhu waidbara alnnujoomi
And in the nighttime also glorify Him at the setting of the stars.
