42/Ash-Shuraa-1: Hameem
Hâ-Mîm
42/Ash-Shuraa-2: AAaynseenqaf
Aîn-Sîn-Qâf [These letters are are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].
42/Ash-Shuraa-3: Kathalika yoohee ilayka waila allatheena min qablika Allahu alAAazeezu alhakeemu
Thus does Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise, reveal to you, and (thus He revealed) to those before you.
42/Ash-Shuraa-4: Lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi wahuwa alAAaliyyu alAAatheemu
His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, and He is the Most High, the Most Great.
42/Ash-Shuraa-5: Takadu alssamawatu yatafattarna min fawqihinna waalmalaikatu yusabbihoona bihamdi rabbihim wayastaghfiroona liman fee alardi ala inna Allaha huwa alghafooru alrraheemu
The heavens are almost rent asunder from above them and the angels glorify their Lord with praise, and ask forgiveness for those on the earth. Verily, Allah is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
42/Ash-Shuraa-6: Waallatheena ittakhathoo min doonihi awliyaa Allahu hafeethun AAalayhim wama anta AAalayhim biwakeelin
And (as for) those who take protecting friends (Auliyâ') besides Him, Allah watches over them, and you are not a trustee (a disposer of their affairs) over them.
42/Ash-Shuraa-7: Wakathalika awhayna ilayka quranan AAarabiyyan litunthira omma alqura waman hawlaha watunthira yawma aljamAAi la rayba feehi fareequn fee aljannati wafareequn fee alssaAAeeri
And thus have We revealed to you an Arabic Qur'ân, that you may warn the Mother of the Towns (Makkah) and those around it, and that you may give warning of the Day of Gathering (Assembling) of which there is no doubt; a party shall be in the Garden (Paradise) and (another) party in the blazing Fire (Hell).
42/Ash-Shuraa-8: Walaw shaa Allahu lajaAAalahum ommatan wahidatan walakin yudkhilu man yashao fee rahmatihi waalththalimoona ma lahum min waliyyin wala naseerin
And if Allah had willed, He would surely have made them a single community, but He makes whom He wills enter into His Mercy, and (as for) the wrongdoers, there is for them no protecting friend, nor helper.
42/Ash-Shuraa-9: Ami ittakhathoo min doonihi awliyaa faAllahu huwa alwaliyyu wahuwa yuhyee almawta wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
Or have they taken protecting friends (guardians) besides Him? Allah Alone is the Protecting Friend (Walî), and He gives life to the dead, and He has Power over all things.
42/Ash-Shuraa-10: Wama ikhtalaftum feehi min shayin fahukmuhu ila Allahi thalikumu Allahu rabbee AAalayhi tawakkaltu wailayhi oneebu
In whatsoever you differ, the judgment of it belongs to Allah; that is Allah, my Lord; in Him I put my trust and to Him do I turn (in repentance).
42/Ash-Shuraa-11: Fatiru alssamawati waalardi jaAAala lakum min anfusikum azwajan wamina alanAAami azwajan yathraokum feehi laysa kamithlihi shayon wahuwa alssameeAAu albaseeru
The Originator of the heavens and the earth; He has made mates (pairs) for you from your own kind (yourselves) and mates (pairs) of the cattle too, multiplying you thereby; nothing like a likeness of Him; and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.
42/Ash-Shuraa-12: Lahu maqaleedu alssamawati waalardi yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru innahu bikulli shayin AAaleemun
His are the keys of the heavens and the earth; He enlarges the sustenance for whom He wills, and straitens (it for whom He wills). Verily He is the All-Knower of everything.
42/Ash-Shuraa-13: SharaAAa lakum mina alddeeni ma wassa bihi noohan waallathee awhayna ilayka wama wassayna bihi ibraheema wamoosa waAAeesa an aqeemoo alddeena wala tatafarraqoo feehi kabura AAala almushrikeena ma tadAAoohum ilayhi Allahu yajtabee ilayhi man yashao wayahdee ilayhi man yuneebu
He has made a Law (Shari'a) for you of the Religion what He had enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, and that which We had enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus, (saying): Establish (maintain) the Religion and make no divisions in it. That which you call the disbelievers to (wishing to reach Allah before dying) has been very hard (difficult) for them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills, and guides to Himself him who turns (to Him in repentance) (He causes to reach Himself him who turns to Him; He causes his spirit to reach Himself while he is alive).
42/Ash-Shuraa-14: Wama tafarraqoo illa min baAAdi ma jaahumu alAAilmu baghyan baynahum walawla kalimatun sabaqat min rabbika ila ajalin musamman laqudiya baynahum wainna allatheena oorithoo alkitaba min baAAdihim lafee shakkin minhu mureebin
And they did not become divided until after knowledge had come to them through (selfish) transgression (out of envy) among themselves, and if a Word had not gone forth from your Lord till a named (appointed) term, certainly the judgment would have been given between them; and those who were made to inherit the Book after them are most surely in suspicious doubt concerning it,
42/Ash-Shuraa-15: Falithalika faodAAu waistaqim kama omirta wala tattabiAA ahwaahum waqul amantu bima anzala Allahu min kitabin waomirtu liaAAdila baynakum Allahu rabbuna warabbukum lana aAAmaluna walakum aAAmalukum la hujjata baynana wabaynakumu Allahu yajmaAAu baynana wailayhi almaseeru
To this then go on inviting, and be on the right direction (be towards Allah) as you are commanded, and do not follow their low desires and say; I believe in what Allah has revealed of the Book, and I am commanded to do justice between you: Allah is our Lord and your Lord; For us our deeds and for you your deeds. Let there be no argument (dispute) between us and you: Allah will gather us together, and to Him is the journeying (return).
42/Ash-Shuraa-16: Waallatheena yuhajjoona fee Allahi min baAAdi ma istujeeba lahu hujjatuhum dahidatun AAinda rabbihim waAAalayhim ghadabun walahum AAathabun shadeedun
And (as for) those who dispute (argue) about Allah after the call (of Allah) has been answered, their argument is null (of no use) with their Lord, and upon them is Wrath, and for them is a painful torment.
42/Ash-Shuraa-17: Allahu allathee anzala alkitaba bialhaqqi waalmeezani wama yudreeka laAAalla alssaAAata qareebun
Allah it is Who has sent down the Book (the Qur’an) with truth and the Balance (al Mizan), and what shall make you know that haply the Hour is close at hand?(you can not perceive, know. Perhaps the Hour is very near).
42/Ash-Shuraa-18: YastaAAjilu biha allatheena la yuminoona biha waallatheena amanoo mushfiqoona minha wayaAAlamoona annaha alhaqqu ala inna allatheena yumaroona fee alssaAAati lafee dalalin baAAeedin
Those who do not believe in it would hasten it on, and those who believe (who are âmenû) are in fear from it, and they know that it is the truth. Now most surely those who dispute obstinately concerning the Hour are in a distant Misguidance, are they not?
42/Ash-Shuraa-19: Allahu lateefun biAAibadihi yarzuqu man yashao wahuwa alqawiyyu alAAazeezu
Allah is Benignant (very Gracious and Kind; “Latif”) to His servants. He gives sustenance to whom He wills (pleases) and He is the All- Strong, the All- Mighty (the All- Honorable, ‘Aziz)
42/Ash-Shuraa-20: Man kana yureedu hartha alakhirati nazid lahu fee harthihi waman kana yureedu hartha alddunya nutihi minha wama lahu fee alakhirati min naseebin
Whoever desires the harvest (the gain) of the Hereafter, We give him increase in his harvest (his gain), and whosoever desires the harvest of this world, We give him of it, and in the Hereafter he has no portion.
42/Ash-Shuraa-21: Am lahum shurakao sharaAAoo lahum mina alddeeni ma lam yathan bihi Allahu walawla kalimatu alfasli laqudiya baynahum wainna alththalimeena lahum AAathabun aleemun
Or have they associates who have instituted for them a Law (Sharia) of the Religion that which Allah has not allowed? And had it not been for a decisive Word (gone forth already), the matter would have been judged between them. And surely for the wrong-doers there is a painful torment.
42/Ash-Shuraa-22: Tara alththalimeena mushfiqeena mimma kasaboo wahuwa waqiAAun bihim waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati fee rawdati aljannati lahum ma yashaoona AAinda rabbihim thalika huwa alfadlu alkabeeru
You will see the wrong-doers fearing on account of what they have earned, and it will surely befall them, and those who believe (who wish to reach Allah before dying) and do improving deeds (the soul’s purification) shall be in the meadows of the Gardens; they shall have whatsoever they desire with their Lord. That is the supreme Grace.
42/Ash-Shuraa-23: Thalika allathee yubashshiru Allahu AAibadahu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati qul la asalukum AAalayhi ajran illa almawaddata fee alqurba waman yaqtarif hasanatan nazid lahu feeha husnan inna Allaha ghafoorun shakoorun
That is of which Allah gives glad tidings to His servants, (to) those who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah while they are alive) and do improving deeds (the soul’s purification). Say: I do not ask of you any reward (wage) for it except love in closeness (for my close relatives); and whoever earns a good deed, We shall increase its good for him; surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Thanked One.
42/Ash-Shuraa-24: Am yaqooloona iftara AAala Allahi kathiban fain yashai Allahu yakhtim AAala qalbika wayamhu Allahu albatila wayuhiqqu alhaqqa bikalimatihi innahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori
Or do they say: He has forged a lie against Allah? But if Allah willed, He would seal your heart; and Allah will blot out the falsehood and vindicate the truth by His Words; surely He knows well what is in the breasts.
42/Ash-Shuraa-25: Wahuwa allathee yaqbalu alttawbata AAan AAibadihi wayaAAfoo AAani alssayyiati wayaAAlamu ma tafAAaloona
And He it is Who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons the evil deeds and He knows what you do;
42/Ash-Shuraa-26: Wayastajeebu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati wayazeeduhum min fadlihi waalkafiroona lahum AAathabun shadeedun
And He answers (the prayers of) those who believe (who are âmenû) and do improving deeds (the soul’s purification), and gives them increase of His Bounty [of His (light of) Virtue]; and (as for) the disbelievers, for them there is a severe torment.
42/Ash-Shuraa-27: Walaw basata Allahu alrrizqa liAAibadihi labaghaw fee alardi walakin yunazzilu biqadarin ma yashao innahu biAAibadihi khabeerun baseerun
And if Allah were to enlarge the provision (sustenance) for His servants, they would certainly revolt in the earth, but He sends down in due measure as He wills; surely He is the Well-Aware, the All-Seer of His servants.
42/Ash-Shuraa-28: Wahuwa allathee yunazzilu alghaytha min baAAdi ma qanatoo wayanshuru rahmatahu wahuwa alwaliyyu alhameedu
And He it is Who sends down the rain after they have despaired, and He unfolds His Mercy; and He is the Protecting Friend, the Praised One.
42/Ash-Shuraa-29: Wamin ayatihi khalqu alssamawati waalardi wama baththa feehima min dabbatin wahuwa AAala jamAAihim itha yashao qadeerun
And from among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and what He has spread forth in both of them of living beings; and when He wills, He is All-Powerful to gather them together.
42/Ash-Shuraa-30: Wama asabakum min museebatin fabima kasabat aydeekum wayaAAfoo AAan katheerin
Whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is on account of what your hands have earned and (yet) He pardons most (of your faults).
42/Ash-Shuraa-31: Wama antum bimuAAjizeena fee alardi wama lakum min dooni Allahi min waliyyin wala naseerin
And you cannot escape (from Allah) in the earth and there is for you besides Allah neither any protecting friend nor any helper.
42/Ash-Shuraa-32: Wamin ayatihi aljawari fee albahri kaalaAAlami
And from among His Signs are the ships in the sea like mountains (banners).
42/Ash-Shuraa-33: In yasha yuskini alrreeha fayathlalna rawakida AAala thahrihi inna fee thalika laayatin likulli sabbarin shakoorin
if He wills, He causes the wind to become still so that they lie motionless on its back; most surely there are Signs in this for every very patient, grateful one,
42/Ash-Shuraa-34: Aw yoobiqhunna bima kasaboo wayaAAfu AAan katheerin
Or He may make them founder for what they have earned and (even then) pardon most;
42/Ash-Shuraa-35: WayaAAlama allatheena yujadiloona fee ayatina ma lahum min maheesin
And (that) those who dispute about Our Âyât (Verses, Signs, Revelations…) may know; there is no place of refuge for them.
42/Ash-Shuraa-36: Fama ooteetum min shayin famataAAu alhayati alddunya wama AAinda Allahi khayrun waabqa lillatheena amanoo waAAala rabbihim yatawakkaloona
So whatever thing you have been given, that is only(a passing) enjoyment (comfort) for the life of the world, and what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah while they are alive) and put their trust in their Lord.
42/Ash-Shuraa-37: Waallatheena yajtaniboona kabaira alithmi waalfawahisha waitha ma ghadiboo hum yaghfiroona
And those who shun the greater sins and indecencies, and when they are angry they forgive.
42/Ash-Shuraa-38: Waallatheena istajaboo lirabbihim waaqamoo alssalata waamruhum shoora baynahum wamimma razaqnahum yunfiqoona
And those who respond to their Lord and keep up the Prayer, and who (conduct) their affairs by mutual consultation, and who spend out of what We have given them as sustenance.
42/Ash-Shuraa-39: Waallatheena itha asabahumu albaghyu hum yantasiroona
And those who, when an oppressive wrong is done to them, help one another (defend themselves).
42/Ash-Shuraa-40: Wajazao sayyiatin sayyiatun mithluha faman AAafa waaslaha faajruhu AAala Allahi innahu la yuhibbu alththalimeena
And the recompense for an evil deed like thereof; but whoever pardons and amends (improves), his reward (wage) belongs to Allah; surely He does not love the wrong- doers.
42/Ash-Shuraa-41: Walamani intasara baAAda thulmihi faolaika ma AAalayhim min sabeelin
And indeed whosoever gets back his due (takes revenge) after he has been wronged, for such there is no way (of blame) against them.
42/Ash-Shuraa-42: Innama alssabeelu AAala allatheena yathlimoona alnnasa wayabghoona fee alardi bighayri alhaqqi olaika lahum AAathabun aleemun
The way (to blame) is only against those who oppress men and revolt in the earth without right; for such there is a painful torment.
42/Ash-Shuraa-43: Walaman sabara waghafara inna thalika lamin AAazmi alomoori
And whoever is patient (practices patience) and forgives, these indeed are works of great courage and resolution.
42/Ash-Shuraa-44: Waman yudlili Allahu fama lahu min waliyyin min baAAdihi watara alththalimeena lamma raawoo alAAathaba yaqooloona hal ila maraddin min sabeelin
And whomsoever Allah leaves in Misguidance, for him there is in that case no Walî (Protecting Friend) after this. And you shall see the wrongdoers (the unjust, the oppressors...): when they see the torment, they will say: Is there any way of return (to the world)?
42/Ash-Shuraa-45: Watarahum yuAAradoona AAalayha khashiAAeena mina alththulli yanthuroona min tarfin khafiyyin waqala allatheena amanoo inna alkhasireena allatheena khasiroo anfusahum waahleehim yawma alqiyamati ala inna alththalimeena fee AAathabin muqeemin
And you will see them brought forward (exposed) to it (Hell) humbling themselves because of the abasements, looking with a stealthy glance. And those who believe (who are âmenû) shall say: Surely the losers (those who are in Loss) are they who have caused themselves and their families (followers) to fall into Loss (Husrân) on the Day of Resurrection. Now surely the wrong-doers shall remain in lasting torment.
42/Ash-Shuraa-46: Wama kana lahum min awliyaa yansuroonahum min dooni Allahi waman yudlili Allahu fama lahu min sabeelin
And there will be for them no protecting friends to help them besides Allah; and whomsoever Allah leaves in Misguidance, for thim there is no way (Salvation).
42/Ash-Shuraa-47: Istajeeboo lirabbikum min qabli an yatiya yawmun la maradda lahu mina Allahi ma lakum min maljain yawmaithin wama lakum min nakeerin
Answer (the Call of) your Lord (wish to reach Allah while you are alive) before there comes a Day which will not be averted by Allah. There is for you no refuge on that Day (of Permission) and there is for you no denial (you cannot deny what you used to do).
42/Ash-Shuraa-48: Fain aAAradoo fama arsalnaka AAalayhim hafeethan in AAalayka illa albalaghu wainna itha athaqna alinsana minna rahmatan fariha biha wain tusibhum sayyiatun bima qaddamat aydeehim fainna alinsana kafoorun
Now if they turn aside, We have not sent you as a watcher (warder) over them; on you is only to convey (the Message); and surely when We make man taste of Mercy from Us, he rejoices at it; and if an evil befalls him on account of what his hands have already sent before, then surely man is utterly ungrateful.
42/Ash-Shuraa-49: Lillahi mulku alssamawati waalardi yakhluqu ma yashao yahabu liman yashao inathan wayahabu liman yashao alththukoora
Allah’s is the Sovereignty (the Kingdom) of the heavens and the earth; He creates what He wills; He bestows daughters (female offspring upon whom He wills and bestows sons (male offspring upon He wills.
42/Ash-Shuraa-50: Aw yuzawwijuhum thukranan wainathan wayajAAalu man yashao AAaqeeman innahu AAaleemun qadeerun
Or He bestows both males and females; and He makes whom He wills barren; surely He is All- Knower, All- Powerful.
42/Ash-Shuraa-51: Wama kana libasharin an yukallimahu Allahu illa wahyan aw min warai hijabin aw yursila rasoolan fayoohiya biithnihi ma yashao innahu AAaliyyun hakeemun
And it is not for any mortal(human being) that Allah should speak to him except by Revelation or from behind a veil, or by sending a Messenger and revealing by His Permission what He wills; surely He is Most High, Most Wise.
42/Ash-Shuraa-52: Wakathalika awhayna ilayka roohan min amrina ma kunta tadree ma alkitabu wala aleemanu walakin jaAAalnahu nooran nahdee bihi man nashao min AAibadina wainnaka latahdee ila siratin mustaqeemin
And thus We have revealed a spirit (the Glorious Qur’an) of our Command. You did not know what the Book was, nor (what) the Faith (was), but We made it a Light (Nûr). We guide with it (with this Light, this Qur’an) whom We will of Our servants; and most surely you are guiding (mankind) to the Straight Path (leading to Allah).
42/Ash-Shuraa-53: Sirati Allahi allathee lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi ala ila Allahi taseeru alomooru
(to) the Path of Allah, Whose is whatsoever in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; now surely to Allah do all affairs(orders) eventually come.
