26/Ash-Shu'araa-1: Taseenmeem
Tâ-Sîn-Mîm [These disjointed letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].
26/Ash-Shu'araa-2: Tilka ayatu alkitabi almubeeni
These are the Verses (Signs) of the manifest Book.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-3: LaAAallaka bakhiAAun nafsaka alla yakoonoo mumineena
You will almost consume yourself with grief because they do not become believers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-4: In nasha nunazzil AAalayhim mina alssamai ayatan fathallat aAAnaquhum laha khadiAAeena
If We will, We should send down upon them a Sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-5: Wama yateehim min thikrin mina alrrahmani muhdathin illa kanoo AAanhu muAArideena
And there does not come to them a new Reminder (Order) from the All-Merciful (God) but they turn aside from it.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-6: Faqad kaththaboo fasayateehim anbao ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona
So they have indeed denied (the truth), then the news of what they mocked at will come to them.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-7: Awalam yaraw ila alardi kam anbatna feeha min kulli zawjin kareemin
Do they not see the earth, how many (plants) of every noble pair (kind) We have caused to grow in it?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-8: Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Most surely there is a Sign in that, but most of them do not become believers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-9: Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And most surely your Lord, He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-10: Waith nada rabbuka moosa ani iti alqawma alththalimeena
And when your Lord called out to Moses (saying): Go to the wrongdoing people,
26/Ash-Shu'araa-11: Qawma firAAawna ala yattaqoona
The people of Pharaoh. Will they not still be the owners of piety (Do they not wish to reach Allah before dying)?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-12: Qala rabbi innee akhafu an yukaththibooni
He (Moses) said: My Lord! Surely I fear that they will deny (belie) me (treat me as a liar).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-13: Wayadeequ sadree wala yantaliqu lisanee faarsil ila haroona
And my breast straitens and my tongue does not speak plainly. Therefore send for Aaron (to come along with me).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-14: Walahum AAalayya thanbun faakhafu an yaqtulooni
And they have a charge of crime against me, therefore I fear that they may kill me.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-15: Qala kalla faithhaba biayatina inna maAAakum mustamiAAoona
He (Allah) said: By no means, so go you both with our Signs (miracles); surely We are with you, hearing;
26/Ash-Shu'araa-16: Fatiya firAAawna faqoola inna rasoolu rabbi alAAalameena
Then come to Pharaoh and say: Surely we are the Messengers of the Lord of the Worlds.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-17: An arsil maAAana banee israeela
Then send with us the Children of Israel.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-18: Qala alam nurabbika feena waleedan walabithta feena min AAumurika sineena
He (Pharaoh) said: Did we not bring you up as a child among us? And you did dwell many years of your life among us.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-19: WafaAAalta faAAlataka allatee faAAalta waanta mina alkafireena
And you did (that) deed of yours which you did (you committed murder), and you are of the ungrateful (disbelievers).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-20: Qala faAAaltuha ithan waana mina alddalleena
He (Moses) said: I did it then, when I was of those who are in Misguidance.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-21: Fafarartu minkum lamma khiftukum fawahaba lee rabbee hukman wajaAAalanee mina almursaleena
So I fled from you when I feared you, then my Lord has granted me judgement (wisdom) and has made me of the Messengers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-22: Watilka niAAmatun tamunnuha AAalayya an AAabbadta banee israeela
And the past favor with which you reproach me is this, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-23: Qala firAAawnu wama rabbu alAAalameena
Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-24: Qala rabbu alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma in kuntum mooqineena
He (Moses) said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty (if you believe by obtaining certainty).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-25: Qala liman hawlahu ala tastamiAAoona
He (Pharaoh) said to those around him: Do you not hear?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-26: Qala rabbukum warabbu abaikumu alawwaleena
He (Moses) said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-27: Qala inna rasoolakumu allathee orsila ilaykum lamajnoonun
He (Pharaoh) said: Most surely your Messenger who has been sent to you is truly mad (insane, possessed).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-28: Qala rabbu almashriqi waalmaghribi wama baynahuma in kuntum taAAqiloona
He (Moses) said: The Lord of the east and the west and all that is between them, if you use your mind (understand).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-29: Qala laini ittakhathta ilahan ghayree laajAAalannaka mina almasjooneena
He said: If you take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-30: Qala awalaw jituka bishayin mubeenin
He said: What! Even if I bring to you something manifest?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-31: Qala fati bihi in kunta mina alssadiqeena
He said: Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-32: Faalqa AAasahu faitha hiya thuAAbanun mubeenun
So he flung down his staff (rod, stick) and behold! It became an obvious serpent.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-33: WanazaAAa yadahu faitha hiya baydao lilnnathireena
And he drew forth his hand, and behold! it was white (radiant) to the onlookers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-34: Qala lilmalai hawlahu inna hatha lasahirun AAaleemun
He said to the chiefs around him: Most surely this is indeed a well-versed sorcerer (a knowing wizard).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-35: Yureedu an yukhrijakum min ardikum bisihrihi famatha tamuroona
He wants to drive you out of your land with his magic. What is it then that you command (advise, counsel)?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-36: Qaloo arjih waakhahu waibAAath fee almadaini hashireena
They said: Put him off and his brother (for a while), and send into the cities summoners (fetchers).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-37: Yatooka bikulli sahharin AAaleemin
That they should bring to you every skillful magician.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-38: FajumiAAa alssaharatu limeeqati yawmin maAAloomin
So the magicians were gathered together at the appointed time on the fixed day.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-39: Waqeela lilnnasi hal antum mujtamiAAoona
And it was said to the people: Will you gather together,
26/Ash-Shu'araa-40: LaAAallana nattabiAAu alssaharata in kanoo humu alghalibeena
(They said): Haply we may follow the magicians if they are the vanquishers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-41: Falamma jaa alssaharatu qaloo lifirAAawna ainna lana laajran in kunna nahnu alghalibeena
And when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh: Shall we get a reward if we are the vanquishers (winners)?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-42: Qala naAAam wainnakum ithan lamina almuqarrabeena
He said: Yes, and you will then surely be of those brought near (to myself).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-43: Qala lahum moosa alqoo ma antum mulqoona
Moses said to them: Cast what you are going to cast (throw).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-44: Faalqaw hibalahum waAAisiyyahum waqaloo biAAizzati firAAawna inna lanahnu alghaliboona
So they cast down their cords and their rods and said: By Pharaoh’s might, we shall most surely be victorious.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-45: Faalqa moosa AAasahu faitha hiya talqafu ma yafikoona
Then Moses cast down his staff and behold! It swallowed up what they fabricated (falsely showed).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-46: Faolqiya alssaharatu sajideena
And the magicians were thrown down prostrate.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-47: Qaloo amanna birabbi alAAalameena
They said: We believe in the Lord of the Worlds.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-48: Rabbi moosa waharoona
(We believe in) the Lord of Moses and Aaron.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-49: Qala amantum lahu qabla an athana lakum innahu lakabeerukumu allathee AAallamakumu alssihra falasawfa taAAlamoona laoqattiAAanna aydiyakum waarjulakum min khilafin walaosallibannakum ajmaAAeena
He (Pharaoh) said: You believe in him before I give you permission? Most surely he is the chief (master) of you who taught you the magic, so you shall know: certainly I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides (alternately), and certainly I will crucify you all.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-50: Qaloo la dayra inna ila rabbina munqaliboona
They said: It does not matter (No harm); surely to our Lord we are returning.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-51: Inna natmaAAu an yaghfira lana rabbuna khatayana an kunna awwala almumineena
Surely we hope that our Lord will forgive us our faults (sins) because we are the first of the believers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-52: Waawhayna ila moosa an asri biAAibadee innakum muttabaAAoona
And We revealed to Moses (saying): Go away with My servants traveling by night, surely you will be pursued.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-53: Faarsala firAAawnu fee almadaini hashireena
Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-54: Inna haolai lashirthimatun qaleeloona
Most surely these are but a small band.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-55: Wainnahum lana laghaithoona
And most surely they have indeed enraged us (and most surely, they have done what has enraged us).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-56: Wainna lajameeAAun hathiroona
And most surely we are a vigilant multitude (a ready host, an assembly to be avoided).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-57: Faakhrajnahum min jannatin waAAuyoonin
So, We took them away from gardens and water-springs.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-58: Wakunoozin wamaqamin kareemin
And treasures and every kind of honorable places.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-59: Kathalika waawrathnaha banee israeela
Thus did We cause the Children of Israel to inherit them (their land).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-60: FaatbaAAoohum mushriqeena
Then they pursued them at sunrise (or, towards the east, towards the Red sea).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-61: Falamma taraa aljamAAani qala ashabu moosa inna lamudrakoona
So when the two hosts saw each other, the Companions of Moses said: Most surely we are being overtaken (Verily they are about to reach us).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-62: Qala kalla inna maAAiya rabbee sayahdeeni
He (Moses) said: By no means; surely my Lord is with me. He will guide me (to a means of escaping).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-63: Faawhayna ila moosa ani idrib biAAasaka albahra fainfalaqa fakana kullu firqin kaalttawdi alAAatheemi
Then We revealed to Moses: Strike the sea with your staff. So it parted (had cloven asunder) and each (separate) part (of that sea water) became like a huge mound (mountain).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-64: Waazlafna thamma alakhareena
Then We brought near, there, the others.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-65: Waanjayna moosa waman maAAahu ajmaAAeena
And We saved Moses and those with him, all of them.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-66: Thumma aghraqna alakhareena
Then We drowned the others (in the sea).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-67: Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Most surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them are not believers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-68: Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And most surely your Lord, He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful (The One Who manifests Himself with the Name of Most Merciful.

26/Ash-Shu'araa-72: Qala hal yasmaAAoonakum ith tadAAoona
He said: Do they hear you when you call on (them)?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-73: Aw yanfaAAoonakum aw yadurroona
Or do they benefit you or cause you harm?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-74: Qaloo bal wajadna abaana kathalika yafAAaloona
They said: Nay, We found our fathers doing (worshipping) so.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-75: Qala afaraaytum ma kuntum taAAbudoona
He said: Have you then considered (seen) what you have been worshipping?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-76: Antum waabaokumu alaqdamoona
(What) you and your ancient fathers (have been worshipping)?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-77: Fainnahum AAaduwwun lee illa rabba alAAalameena
Surely they are enemies to me, but not (so) the Lord of the Worlds;
26/Ash-Shu'araa-78: Allathee khalaqanee fahuwa yahdeeni
Who has created me, then He has guided me (He has made me attain to Guidance).

My Lord! Bestow Wisdom (and Judgement) on me and join me with the Improved ones (Sâlihîn)!
26/Ash-Shu'araa-84: WaijAAal lee lisana sidqin fee alakhireena
And make for me a veracious tongue in the succeeding ones (And grant me a goodly mention among posterity).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-85: WaijAAalnee min warathati jannati alnnaAAeemi
And make me of the inheritors of the Paradise full of blessings (Garden of Delight, Garden of Bliss).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-86: Waighfir liabee innahu kana mina alddalleena
And forgive my father, for surely he is of those who have remained in Misguidance.

Besides Allah? Can they help you or yet help themselves?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-94: Fakubkiboo feeha hum waalghawoona

Therefore widen between me and them with a widening (and so) deliver me and those who are with me of the believers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-119: Faanjaynahu waman maAAahu fee alfulki almashhooni
So We delivered him and those with him in the laden Ark (ship).

Then We drowned the rest afterwards.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-121: Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena

Surely I fear for you the Torment of a Great Day (the Day of Resurrection).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-136: Qaloo sawaon AAalayna awaAAathta am lam takun mina alwaAAitheena
They said: It is the same to us whether you admonish (preach) or are not one of the admonishers (preachers).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-137: In hatha illa khuluqu alawwaleena
This is no other than the fabrications of the ancients.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-138: Wama nahnu bimuAAaththabeena
And we are not going to be tormented (punished).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-139: Fakaththaboohu faahlaknahum inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena

26/Ash-Shu'araa-145: Wama asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
And I ask of you no wage for this (communication); my wage (reward) is only with the Lord of the Worlds:
26/Ash-Shu'araa-146: Atutrakoona fee ma hahuna amineena
Will you be left secure in what is here?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-147: Fee jannatin waAAuyoonin
In gardens and watersprings.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-148: WazurooAAin wanakhlin talAAuha hadeemun

And you hew out in the mountains, houses with great skill.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-150: Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni

26/Ash-Shu'araa-153: Qaloo innama anta mina almusahhareena
They said: You are only of the bewitched.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-154: Ma anta illa basharun mithluna fati biayatin in kunta mina alssadiqeena
You are but a mortal (human being) like us. So bring a Sign (a miracle) if you are of the truthful.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-155: Qala hathihi naqatun laha shirbun walakum shirbu yawmin maAAloomin
He (Sâlih) said: This is a she-camel: It has a right to drink (water), and you have a right to drink (water), each on a known day (on appointed days).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-156: Wala tamassooha bisooin fayakhuthakum AAathabu yawmin AAatheemin
And do not touch her with evil, lest the torment of a Great Day should seize you.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-157: FaAAaqarooha faasbahoo nadimeena
But they hamstrung her, then they became regretful.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-158: Faakhathahumu alAAathabu inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
So the torment overtook them. Most surely there is a Sign (a lesson) in this, yet most of them are not believers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-159: Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And most surely your Lord, He is truly the All-Might, the Most Merciful (the One Who manifests Himself with the Name of the Most Merciful).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-160: Kaththabat qawmu lootin almursaleena
The people of Lot (Lût) gave the lie to (belied) the Messengers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-161: Ith qala lahum akhoohum lootun ala tattaqoona
When their brother Lot said to them: Will you not have piety? (Will you not wish to reach Allah while you are living?).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-162: Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun
Surely I am a faithful Messenger to you;
26/Ash-Shu'araa-163: Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni
Therefore be the owners of piety towards Allah (wish to reach Allah before dying) and obey me (depend on me).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-164: Wama asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
And I ask of you no wage (reward) of this (conveying of the Message); my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-165: Atatoona alththukrana mina alAAalameena
What! Do you come to the males of the worlds (mankind)?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-166: Watatharoona ma khalaqa lakum rabbukum min azwajikum bal antum qawmun AAadoona
And leave what Allah has created for you of the wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding the limits.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-167: Qaloo lain lam tantahi ya lootu latakoonanna mina almukhrajeena
They said: If you do not desist, O Lot! You shall surely be of those who are expelled.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-168: Qala innee liAAamalikum mina alqaleena
My Lord! Deliver me and my household (and my followers) from what they do.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-169: Rabbi najjinee waahlee mimma yaAAmaloona
My Lord! Deliver me and my family (my followers) from what they do.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-170: Fanajjaynahu waahlahu ajmaAAeena
So We delivered him and his followers (his family, his household) all,
26/Ash-Shu'araa-171: Illa AAajoozan fee alghabireena
Except an old woman (his wife), among those who remained behind.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-172: Thumma dammarna alakhareena
Then we utterly destroyed the others (We put an end to their offspring).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-173: Waamtarna AAalayhim mataran fasaa mataru almunthareena
And We rained down upon them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned!
26/Ash-Shu'araa-174: Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Most surely there is a Sign in this, yet most of them are not believers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-175: Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And most surely your Lord, He is surely the All-Mighty (the Most Loved, ‘Âzîz), the Most Merciful.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-176: Kaththaba ashabu alaykati almursaleena
The dwellers of the thicked (of Midian) belied (gave the lie to) the Messengers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-177: Ith qala lahum shuAAaybun ala tattaqoona
When Shu’aib said to them: Will you not have piety (Will you not wish to reach Allah while you are living?).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-178: Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun
Surely I am a trustworthy Messenger to you;
26/Ash-Shu'araa-179: Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni
Therefore be the owners of piety towards Allah and obey me (depend on me).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-180: Wama asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
And I ask of you no wage (reward) for it (for conveying to you the Message); my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-181: Awfoo alkayla wala takoonoo mina almukhsireena
Give full measure and be not of those who diminish (give less than the due).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-182: Wazinoo bialqistasi almustaqeemi
And weigh (things) with the true and straight balance.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-183: Wala tabkhasoo alnnasa ashyaahum wala taAAthaw fee alardi mufsideena
And do not defraud people by reducing their things (do not cause that the degrees that they have earned may be less than those that they have lost by hindering them from reaching Allah) (and causing this) do not commit disorder in the earth, making mischief.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-184: Waittaqoo allathee khalaqakum waaljibillata alawwaleena
Have piety towards Him Who created you and the former nations (generations).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-185: Qaloo innama anta mina almusahhareena
They said: You are only of the bewitched.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-186: Wama anta illa basharun mithluna wain nathunnuka lamina alkathibeena
You are but a mortal (human being) like us, and we deem you of the liars.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-187: Faasqit AAalayna kisafan mina alssamai in kunta mina alssadiqeena
So cause a portion of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-188: Qala rabbee aAAlamu bima taAAmaloona
He said: My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-189: Fakaththaboohu faakhathahum AAathabu yawmi alththullati innahu kana AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin
But they called him a liar, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them. Indeed that was the torment of a Great Day.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-190: Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Most surely there is a Sign in this, yet most of them have not become believers (they have not wished to reach Allah before dying).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-191: Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And most surely your Lord, He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-192: Wainnahu latanzeelu rabbi alAAalameena
And most surely this (Qur’ân), it is the Lord of the Worlds who has sent it down.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-193: Nazala bihi alrroohu alameenu
The Trustworthy Spirit (Gabriel) has brought down.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-194: AAala qalbika litakoona mina almunthireena
Upon your heart that you may be of the warners.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-195: Bilisanin AAarabiyyin mubeenin
In plain Arabic language.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-196: Wainnahu lafee zuburi alawwaleena
And most surely it is in the Pages (Books) of the men of old.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-197: Awalam yakun lahum ayatan an yaAAlamahu AAulamao banee israeela
Is it not a Sign to them that the learned men of the Children of Israel know it (as true)?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-198: Walaw nazzalnahu AAala baAAdi alaAAjameena
And if We had sent it down to any of the non-Arabs (the foreigners).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-199: Faqaraahu AAalayhim ma kanoo bihi mumineena
So that he should have recited (read) it to them, they would not have believed in it (they would not have become believers, they would not have wished to reach Allah before dying).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-200: Kathalika salaknahu fee quloobi almujrimeena
Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the criminals (the guilty).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-201: La yuminoona bihi hatta yarawoo alAAathaba alaleema
They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-202: Fayatiyahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona
And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-203: Fayaqooloo hal nahnu muntharoona
Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved (Are we to be caused to wait?).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-204: AfabiAAathabina yastaAAjiloona
What! Would they (now) hasten on Our torment (punishment)?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-205: Afaraayta in mattaAAnahum sineena
Have you then considered? Even if We let them enjoy themselves for years,
26/Ash-Shu'araa-206: Thumma jaahum ma kanoo yooAAadoona
Then there comes to them that which they were promised.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-207: Ma aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yumattaAAoona
That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-208: Wama ahlakna min qaryatin illa laha munthiroona
And never did We destroy a township but it had (its) warners.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-209: Thikra wama kunna thalimeena
As a reminder (to remind) and We have never been unjust.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-210: Wama tanazzalat bihi alshshayateenu
And it is not devils (satans) who have brought it (this Qur’ân) down.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-211: Wama yanbaghee lahum wama yastateeAAoona
It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-212: Innahum AAani alssamAAi lamaAAzooloona
Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-213: Fala tadAAu maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara fatakoona mina almuAAaththabeena
So do not call upon another god with Allah lest you should be of those who are tormented (punished).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-214: Waanthir AAasheerataka alaqrabeena
And warn your tribe that is your nearest kindred (relations).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-215: Waikhfid janahaka limani ittabaAAaka mina almumineena
And lower your wings unto those who have depended on you of the believers.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-216: Fain AAasawka faqul innee bareeon mimma taAAmaloona
Then if they disobey (rebel against) you, say: Surely I am clear (innocent) of what you do.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-217: Watawakkal AAala alAAazeezi alrraheemi
And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful (the One who manifests Himself with the Name of the Most Merciful).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-218: Allathee yaraka heena taqoomu
Who sees you when you stand up (to pray).
26/Ash-Shu'araa-219: Wataqallubaka fee alssajideena
And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves (in worship)
26/Ash-Shu'araa-220: Innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
Surely He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-221: Hal onabbiokum AAala man tanazzalu alshshayateenu
Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans (satans) descend?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-222: Tanazzalu AAala kulli affakin atheemin
They descend upon every lying, sinful one.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-223: Yulqoona alssamAAa waaktharuhum kathiboona
Who gives ear (to the devils), and most of them are liars.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-224: WaalshshuAAarao yattabiAAuhumu alghawoona
And as to the poets (who are against Allah) the erring ones follow them,
26/Ash-Shu'araa-225: Alam tara annahum fee kulli wadin yaheemoona
Do you not see that they wander about bewildered (they run after fancies) in every valley?
26/Ash-Shu'araa-226: Waannahum yaqooloona ma la yafAAaloona
And that they say that which they do not do.
26/Ash-Shu'araa-227: Illa allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati wathakaroo Allaha katheeran waintasaroo min baAAdi ma thulimoo wasayaAAlamu allatheena thalamoo ayya munqalabin yanqaliboona
Except those who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah while they are living) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s purification) and remember (repeat the Name of) Allah much, and are helped (by Allah; vindicate themselves) after they have been wronged (oppressed); And those who do wrong (act unjustly) shall know to what final place of turning (to Hell) they shall turn back.
