55/Ar-Rahman-1: Alrrahmanu
(He is) the All-Merciful!
55/Ar-Rahman-2: AAallama alqurana
(He) has taught the Qur’ân.
55/Ar-Rahman-3: Khalaqa alinsana
(He) has created (the) man.
55/Ar-Rahman-4: AAallamahu albayana
(He) has taught him the mode of expression (eloquent speech, expressing and explaining by understanding).
55/Ar-Rahman-5: Alshshamsu waalqamaru bihusbanin
The sun and the moon (their creation and movements in their orbits) are by exact (astrophysical) calculations (are designed according to delicate states of balance).
55/Ar-Rahman-6: Waalnnajmu waalshshajaru yasjudani
And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate themselves (to Allah).
55/Ar-Rahman-7: Waalssamaa rafaAAaha wawadaAAa almeezana
And the heaven, He raised it high (according to the astrophysical rules, in accordance with the Bing Bang theory, He realized an event of expanding and rising from inside towards outside directions) and He has set up the Balance (the measure, the weight, the equilibrium of the forces of attraction).
55/Ar-Rahman-8: Alla tatghaw fee almeezani
That you do not exceed the Measure (Due Balance) (do not act unjustly).
55/Ar-Rahman-9: Waaqeemoo alwazna bialqisti wala tukhsiroo almeezana
And observe the weight with equity and do not make the measure deficient.
55/Ar-Rahman-10: Waalarda wadaAAaha lilanami
And the earth, He laid (it) for living creatures (He designed it through the geological phenomena so that the living creatures may live on it).
55/Ar-Rahman-11: Feeha fakihatun waalnnakhlu thatu alakmami
Therein are fruits and date-palms having sheathed clusters,
55/Ar-Rahman-12: Waalhabbu thoo alAAasfi waalrrayhani
And husked grain(s) and scented herb(s).
55/Ar-Rahman-13: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinn and men) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-14: Khalaqa alinsana min salsalin kaalfakhkhari
He created (the) man from sounding clay like the clay of pottery (earthen vessels),
55/Ar-Rahman-15: Wakhalaqa aljanna min marijin min narin
And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
55/Ar-Rahman-16: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-17: Rabbu almashriqayni warabbu almaghribayni
Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests (according to the men and the jinn).
55/Ar-Rahman-18: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (communities of mankind and jinn)?
55/Ar-Rahman-19: Maraja albahrayni yaltaqiyani
He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they met together:
55/Ar-Rahman-20: Baynahuma barzakhun la yabghiyani
Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress (overrun).
55/Ar-Rahman-21: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (communities of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-22: Yakhruju minhuma alluluo waalmarjanu
Out of them both come out pearl and coral.
55/Ar-Rahman-23: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (communities of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-24: Walahu aljawari almunshaatu fee albahri kaalaAAlami
And His are the ships built (high) in the sea like mountains.
55/Ar-Rahman-25: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (communities of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-26: Kullu man AAalayha fanin
Everyone (mankind and jinn) on it must pass away.
55/Ar-Rahman-27: Wayabqa wajhu rabbika thoo aljalali waalikrami
And the Face (Essence, Zât) of your Lord full of Majesty and Honor will remain (abide) forever.
55/Ar-Rahman-28: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (communities of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-29: Yasaluhu man fee alssamawati waalardi kulla yawmin huwa fee shanin
All those who are in the heavens and the earth ask of Him; every day (moment) He is (engaged) in some affair (upon a separate manifestation, a new happening).
55/Ar-Rahman-30: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (communities of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-31: Sanafrughu lakum ayyuha alththaqalani
Soon will We attend to you, O you two burdened ones (O mankind and jinn who possess physical weight in their respective worlds and have heavy responsibility as they are conscious beings)! (We will settle your accounts on the Gathering Place).
55/Ar-Rahman-32: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (communities of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-33: Ya maAAshara aljinni waalinsi ini istataAAtum an tanfuthoo min aqtari alssamawati waalardi faonfuthoo la tanfuthoona illa bisultanin
O assembly of the jinn and the men! If you have power to penetrate into the diametrical zones of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (into them); you cannot penetrate into them except with authority (Sultan, from Allah)!
55/Ar-Rahman-34: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (communities, assemblies of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-35: Yursalu AAalaykuma shuwathun min narin wanuhasun fala tantasirani
The flames of fire will be sent on you two and (molten) brass, then you will not help each other (you will not defend yourselves).
55/Ar-Rahman-36: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (assemblies of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-37: Faitha inshaqqati alssamao fakanat wardatan kaalddihani
And when the heaven is rent asunder, and it becomes rosy like red hide [a red rose like (the color) of melted oil].
55/Ar-Rahman-38: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (assemblies of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-39: Fayawmaithin la yusalu AAan thanbihi insun wala jannun
So on that Day (of Permission) neither man nor jinni shall be asked about his sin.
55/Ar-Rahman-40: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (assemblies of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-41: YuAArafu almujrimoona biseemahum fayukhathu bialnnawasee waalaqdami
The criminals (guilty) shall be recognized by their marks, so they shall be seized by their forelocks and the feet.
55/Ar-Rahman-42: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (assemblies of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-43: Hathihi jahannamu allatee yukaththibu biha almujrimoona
This is the Hell which the criminals (guilty) called a lie.
55/Ar-Rahman-44: Yatoofoona baynaha wabayna hameemin anin
They go circling round between it and fierce, boiling water.
55/Ar-Rahman-45: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (assemblies of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-46: Waliman khafa maqama rabbihi jannatani
And for those who fear the Rank of his Lord are two gardens.
55/Ar-Rahman-47: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (assemblies of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-48: Thawata afnanin
Both having various branches (beauties of knowledge and craftsmanship).
55/Ar-Rahman-49: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (assemblies of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-50: Feehima AAaynani tajriyani
In both of them are two fountains flowing.
55/Ar-Rahman-51: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (assemblies of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-52: Feehima min kulli fakihatin zawjani
In both of them are two pairs of every fruit.
55/Ar-Rahman-53: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two (assemblies of mankind and jinn) belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-54: Muttakieena AAala furushin batainuha min istabraqin wajana aljannatayni danin
Reclining on couches lined with thick silk brocade; and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand.
55/Ar-Rahman-55: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-56: Feehinna qasiratu alttarfi lam yatmithhunna insun qablahum wala jannun
In them shall be those who restrained their eyes (from looking at others than their mates) with whom no man or jinni has had “tamth” (Tamth means; opening their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them.
55/Ar-Rahman-57: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-58: Kaannahunna alyaqootu waalmarjanu
As though they were rubies and coral.
55/Ar-Rahman-59: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-60: Hal jazao alihsani illa alihsanu
Is the reward of goodness anything but goodness?
55/Ar-Rahman-61: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-62: Wamin doonihima jannatani
And besides these two are two (other) Gardens:
55/Ar-Rahman-63: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-64: Mudhammatani
Both inclining to blackness (Dark green with foliage).
55/Ar-Rahman-65: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-66: Feehima AAaynani naddakhatani
In both of them are two springs gushing forth.
55/Ar-Rahman-67: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you both belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-68: Feehima fakihatun wanakhlun warummanun
In them (both) are fruits and date-palms and pomegranates.
55/Ar-Rahman-69: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-70: Feehinna khayratun hisanun
In them are fair (wives) good and beautiful.
55/Ar-Rahman-71: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-72: Hoorun maqsooratun fee alkhiyami
Confined “Hûr” (beautiful, fair females) in the pavillions.
55/Ar-Rahman-73: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you both belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-74: Lam yatmithhunna insun qablahum wala jannun
With whom no man or jinni has had “tamth” (tamth=opening their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them.
55/Ar-Rahman-75: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-76: Muttakieena AAala rafrafin khudrin waAAabqariyyin hisanin
Reclining on green cushions and beautiful embroidered mattresses.
55/Ar-Rahman-77: Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani
Which then of the Blessings of your Lord will you two belie (deny)?
55/Ar-Rahman-78: Tabaraka ismu rabbika thee aljalali waalikrami
Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Owner of Majesty and Honor (Generosity).
