O mankind! Have piety (be dutiful to) towards your Lord, Who created you from a single soul (Adam, PBHH) and from it created its mate and from the two of them spread abroad a multitude of men and women. Have piety towards Allah by whom (by His Name) you demand one of another and be careful of (your duty to) the wombs (the ties of kinship). Surely, Allah is Ever an All-Watcher over you.
4/An-Nisaa-2: Waatoo alyatama amwalahum wala tatabaddaloo alkhabeetha bialttayyibi wala takuloo amwalahum ila amwalikum innahu kana hooban kabeeran
And give to the orphans their property, Do not exchange the good (clean) [what is lawful] for the bad (unclean) (what is unlawful) and do not devour their property (by adding it) to your own property; this is surely a great sin (crime).
And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphan-girls, then marry (other) women seeming good (women who are lawful) to you two and three and four; but if you fear that you will not do justice (between them), then (marry) only one or (the slaves) that your right hands possess. That is more proper to prevent you from doing injustice.
4/An-Nisaa-4: Waatoo alnnisaa saduqatihinna nihlatan fain tibna lakum AAan shayin minhu nafsan fakuloohu haneean mareean
And give to the women (whom you marry) their “Mahr” (obligatory bridal-money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage) with a good heart; but if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, then eat it with enjoyment and with wholesome result.
4/An-Nisaa-5: Wala tutoo alssufahaa amwalakumu allatee jaAAala Allahu lakum qiyaman waorzuqoohum feeha waoksoohum waqooloo lahum qawlan maAAroofan
And do not give away your property which Allah has made for you a (means of) support to the weak of understanding, and take care of them with sustenance and clothe them and speak to them kind words.
4/An-Nisaa-6: Waibtaloo alyatama hatta itha balaghoo alnnikaha fain anastum minhum rushdan faidfaAAoo ilayhim amwalahum wala takulooha israfan wabidaran an yakbaroo waman kana ghaniyyan falyastaAAfif waman kana faqeeran falyakul bialmaAAroofi faitha dafaAAtum ilayhim amwalahum faashhidoo AAalayhim wakafa biAllahi haseeban
Put the orphans to the test until they attain to the age of marriage; then if you find in them maturity of intellect, make over to them their property and do not consume it extravagantly and hastily, lest they attain to full age (take it back) and whoever (the guardian) is rich, let him abstain altogether (let him be honest) but if he (the guardian) is poor, let him eat on a reasonable basis then when you make over to them their property, take witness in their presence; and Allah is All-Sufficient as Reckoner.
4/An-Nisaa-7: Lilrrijali naseebun mimma taraka alwalidani waalaqraboona walilnnisai naseebun mimma taraka alwalidani waalaqraboona mimma qalla minhu aw kathura naseeban mafroodan
Of what the parents and the near relatives leave, there is a portion for the men and of what the parents and the near relatives leave, there is a portion for the women, whether there is little or much of it; a stated (prescribed) share.
4/An-Nisaa-8: Waitha hadara alqismata oloo alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeenu faorzuqoohum minhu waqooloo lahum qawlan maAAroofan
And when the (distant) relatives (to the lot of whom the heritage does not fall) and the orphans and the needy are present at the time of division (of the inheritance) give them out of the property, and speak to them kind words.
4/An-Nisaa-9: Walyakhsha allatheena law tarakoo min khalfihim thurriyyatan diAAafan khafoo AAalayhim falyattaqoo Allaha walyaqooloo qawlan sadeedan
And let those fear who, should they leave behind them weakly offspring, would fear on their account (that these would be exposed to an injustice). So let them have piety towards Allah [let them be careful of (their duty to) Allah] and let them speak right words.
4/An-Nisaa-10: Inna allatheena yakuloona amwala alyatama thulman innama yakuloona fee butoonihim naran wasayaslawna saAAeeran
Verily, those who unjustly eat up the property of the orphans, they eat up only fire into their bellies, and they shall enter the Blazing Fire!
4/An-Nisaa-11: Yooseekumu Allahu fee awladikum lilththakari mithlu haththi alonthayayni fain kunna nisaan fawqa ithnatayni falahunna thulutha ma taraka wain kanat wahidatan falaha alnnisfu waliabawayhi likulli wahidin minhuma alssudusu mimma taraka in kana lahu waladun fain lam yakun lahu waladun wawarithahu abawahu faliommihi alththuluthu fain kana lahu ikhwatun faliommihi alssudusu min baAAdi wasiyyatin yoosee biha aw daynin abaokum waabnaokum la tadroona ayyuhum aqrabu lakum nafAAan fareedatan mina Allahi inna Allaha kana AAaleeman hakeeman
Allah enjoins you concerning (the division for) your children: to a male, a portion equal to that of two females; and if they are more than two females, then their share is two–thirds of what the deceased has left, and if there is one her share is a half; and as for his parents, each of them shall have the sixth of what he has left if he has a child, but if he has no child and (only) his two parents inherit him, then his mother shall have the third (the remaining is for his father); but if he has brothers then his mother shall have the sixth after (the payment of) a bequest he may have bequeathed or debt. You do not know which of your parents or your children is the nearer to you in usefulness; These (fixed shares) are an ordinance from Allah; And Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.
4/An-Nisaa-12: Walakum nisfu ma taraka azwajukum in lam yakun lahunna waladun fain kana lahunna waladun falakumu alrrubuAAu mimma tarakna min baAAdi wasiyyatin yooseena biha aw daynin walahunna alrrubuAAu mimma taraktum in lam yakun lakum waladun fain kana lakum waladun falahunna alththumunu mimma taraktum min baAAdi wasiyyatin toosoona biha aw daynin wain kana rajulun yoorathu kalalatan awi imraatun walahu akhun aw okhtun falikulli wahidin minhuma alssudusu fain kanoo akthara min thalika fahum shurakao fee alththuluthi min baAAdi wasiyyatin yoosa biha aw daynin ghayra mudarrin wasiyyatan mina Allahi waAllahu AAaleemun haleemun
And for you is the half of what your wives leave if they have no child. But if they have a child, then to you the fourth of what they leave after (payment of) any bequest they may have bequeathed or a debt; and to them (wives) belongs the fourth of what you leave if you have no child; but if you have child then the eighth of what you leave after (payment of) a bequest you may have bequeathed or a debt; and if a man or a woman leaves property to be inherited by neither parents nor offspring, and he (or she) has a brother or a sister, then each of them two shall have the sixth, but if they are more than that, they shall be sharers in the third after (payment of) any bequest that may have been bequeathed or a debt that does not harm (others). These are an ordinance (to you) from Allah; and Allah is Ever All-Knowing, Most-Forbearing.
4/An-Nisaa-13: Tilka hudoodu Allahi waman yutiAAi Allaha warasoolahu yudkhilhu jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha wathalika alfawzu alAAatheemu
These are the limits of Allah; and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, He will cause him to enter Gardens beneath which the rivers flow, to abide in them forever; and this is the greatest success (salvation).
4/An-Nisaa-14: Waman yaAAsi Allaha warasoolahu wayataAAadda hudoodahu yudkhilhu naran khalidan feeha walahu AAathabun muheenun
And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger and goes beyond His limits, He will cause him to enter Fire to abide in it forever and for him there is an abasing torment (chastisement).
4/An-Nisaa-15: Waallatee yateena alfahishata min nisaikum faistashhidoo AAalayhinna arbaAAatan minkum fain shahidoo faamsikoohunna fee albuyooti hatta yatawaffahunna almawtu aw yajAAala Allahu lahunna sabeelan
And as for those who commit an indecency (illegal sexual intercourse) from among your women, call to witnesses against them four (witnesses) from among you; then if they bear witness, then confine them to the houses until death takes them away or Allah opens some way for them.
4/An-Nisaa-16: Waallathani yatiyaniha minkum faathoohuma fain taba waaslaha faaAAridoo AAanhuma inna Allaha kana tawwaban raheeman
And as for the two of you who commit it (illegal sexual intercourse, indecency), hurt them both. If they repent and improve (amend), turn aside from them (from hurting them); surely Allah is Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful.
4/An-Nisaa-17: Innama alttawbatu AAala Allahi lillatheena yaAAmaloona alssooa bijahalatin thumma yatooboona min qareebin faolaika yatoobu Allahu AAalayhim wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman

4/An-Nisaa-18: Walaysati alttawbatu lillatheena yaAAmaloona alssayyiati hatta itha hadara ahadahumu almawtu qala innee tubtu alana wala allatheena yamootoona wahum kuffarun olaika aAAtadna lahum AAathaban aleeman
And repentance is not for those who go on doing evil deeds until, when death comes to one of them, he says: surely now I repent; nor (for) those who die while they are unbelievers. These are they for whom We have prepared a painful torment (punishment).
4/An-Nisaa-19: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la yahillu lakum an tarithoo alnnisaa karhan wala taAAduloohunna litathhaboo bibaAAdi ma ataytumoohunna illa an yateena bifahishatin mubayyinatin waAAashiroohunna bialmaAAroofi fain karihtumoohunna faAAasa an takrahoo shayan wayajAAala Allahu feehi khayran katheeran
O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah before dying)! It is not lawful for you that you should take women (whose husbands have died and who are your near relatives) as heritage against (their) will, and do not straiten them in order that you may take part of what you have given them, unless they are guilty of manifest indecency (illegal sexual intercourse) and treat them kindly; then if you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing while Allah has placed abundant good in it.
4/An-Nisaa-20: Wain aradtumu istibdala zawjin makana zawjin waataytum ihdahunna qintaran fala takhuthoo minhu shayan atakhuthoonahu buhtanan waithman mubeenan

And do not marry women whom your fathers married, except what has already passed; this surely is indecent (shameful, a foulness) and hateful and it is an evil way.

And (it is forbidden to you) that you should have two sisters together, except what had already happened (of that nature before Islam) in the past. Surely Allah is Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Then as to those whom you profit by, give them their Mahr (obligatory bridal money…) as prescribed; but if after a Mahr is prescribed, you agree mutually (to give more) there is no sin on you. Surely, Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise.

And whoever of you is not able to afford to marry from the free, believing women, then (he may marry) of those whom your right hands possess from among your believing girls (women) and Allah knows best your faith: you are (sprung) the one from the other. So marry them with the permission of their masters (families) and give them their portions on a reasonable basis. They (the above-said captives and slave-girls) should be chaste, not adulterous nor receiving paramours (secret boy-friends); and when they are taking in marriage, then if they are guilty of indecency, they shall suffer half the punishment which is (inflicted) upon free women. This (permission to marry a slave- girl) is for him among you who fears to commit sin (adultery) and to have patience would be better for you. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

As for those (women) from whom you fear disobedience (disloyalty, desertion) admonish them (firstly) and leave them alone in the sleeping-places (secondly) and (if they go on disobeying) and (and last) beat them (lightly, if it is useful); then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely, Allah is Ever Most High, Most great.

(As for) those who disbelieve in our Verses (Signs…), We shall make them enter Fire; so oft as their skins are thoroughly burned, We shall exchange them for other skins, that they may taste the torment (punishment); truly, Allah is Ever Mighty, All-Wise.
4/An-Nisaa-57: Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati sanudkhiluhum jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha abadan lahum feeha azwajun mutahharatun wanudkhiluhum thillan thaleelan
And (as for) those who believe (who are âmenû) and do improving deeds (that purify and refine the souls’ hearts), We will make them enter Gardens beneath which the rivers flow, to abide in them forever; there are for them purified mates and We shall make them enter a dense, spreading shade.
4/An-Nisaa-58: Inna Allaha yamurukum an tuaddoo alamanati ila ahliha waitha hakamtum bayna alnnasi an tahkumoo bialAAadli inna Allaha niAAimma yaAAithukum bihi inna Allaha kana sameeAAan baseeran
Surely Allah commands you to render back the trusts (i.e. the spirit, the physical body, the soul and the free will…) to His Owner (to Allah ) and that when you judge between people you judge with justice; surely Allah admonishes you with what is excellent; surely Allah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Seer.
4/An-Nisaa-59: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ateeAAoo Allaha waateeAAoo alrrasoola waolee alamri minkum fain tanazaAAtum fee shayin faruddoohu ila Allahi waalrrasooli in kuntum tuminoona biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri thalika khayrun waahsanu taweelan
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those of you who are in authority (who are authorized to give orders) from among you, then if you dispute about anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. This is better and is the best in respect of interpretation (for final determination).
4/An-Nisaa-60: Alam tara ila allatheena yazAAumoona annahum amanoo bima onzila ilayka wama onzila min qablika yureedoona an yatahakamoo ila alttaghooti waqad omiroo an yakfuroo bihi wayureedu alshshaytanu an yudillahum dalalan baAAeedan
Have you not seen those who pretend that they believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you, and they desire to summon one another to the judgement of the Tâgût (false judges from among the satans of the men and jinn) though they were commanded to deny him, and the Shaitan (Satan) wish to lead them astray into a remote Misguidance.
4/An-Nisaa-61: Waitha qeela lahum taAAalaw ila ma anzala Allahu waila alrrasooli raayta almunafiqeena yasuddoona AAanka sudoodan
And when it is said to them: come to what Allah has sent down (the Qur’an) and to the Messenger, you see the hypocrites turn from you with (utter) aversion.
4/An-Nisaa-62: Fakayfa itha asabathum museebatun bima qaddamat aydeehim thumma jaooka yahlifoona biAllahi in aradna illa ihsanan watawfeeqan
But how (will it be their state) when misfortune befalls them on account of what their right hands have sent before? Then they will come to you swearing by Allah: We did not desire (anything) but good and concord (conciliation).
4/An-Nisaa-63: Olaika allatheena yaAAlamu Allahu ma fee quloobihim faaAArid AAanhum waAAithhum waqul lahum fee anfusihim qawlan baleeghan
These are they of whom Allah knows what is in their hearts ; therefore turn aside from them and admonish them and speak to them effectual words concerning themselves (their souls).
4/An-Nisaa-64: Wama arsalna min rasoolin illa liyutaAAa biithni Allahi walaw annahum ith thalamoo anfusahum jaooka faistaghfaroo Allaha waistaghfara lahumu alrrasoolu lawajadoo Allaha tawwaban raheeman
We sent no Messenger except that he should be obeyed by the Permission of Allah. And if, when they wronged themselves (their souls) they had but come to you and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had (also) asked forgiveness for them , they would have certainly found Allah Oft-Returning (the One who accepts the Repentance of them and the forgiveness of the Messenger), Most Merciful (the One who sends the light of Mercy).
4/An-Nisaa-65: Fala warabbika la yuminoona hatta yuhakkimooka feema shajara baynahum thumma la yajidoo fee anfusihim harajan mimma qadayta wayusallimoo tasleeman
But no, by your Lord, they do not believe (in reality) until they make you a judge of that which has become a matter of disagreement between them and then they do not find any straitness in their hearts as to what you have decided and submit with entire submission.
4/An-Nisaa-66: Walaw anna katabna AAalayhim ani oqtuloo anfusakum awi okhrujoo min diyarikum ma faAAaloohu illa qaleelun minhum walaw annahum faAAaloo ma yooAAathoona bihi lakana khayran lahum waashadda tathbeetan
And if We have prescribed for them: Kill yourselves (your own souls) or go forth from your homes, they would not have done it except a few of them; and if they had done what they were admonished, it would have certainly been better for them and best in strengthening (their Faith).
4/An-Nisaa-67: Waithan laataynahum min ladunna ajran AAatheeman
And then We would certainly have given them from Our Presence an immense reward (a Grand Wage).
4/An-Nisaa-68: Walahadaynahum siratan mustaqeeman
And We would certainly have guided them to the Straight Path (leading to Allah).
4/An-Nisaa-69: Waman yutiAAi Allaha waalrrasoola faolaika maAAa allatheena anAAama Allahu AAalayhim mina alnnabiyyeena waalssiddeeqeena waalshshuhadai waalssaliheena wahasuna olaika rafeeqan
Whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, they are with those to whom Allah has granted a Blessing, of the Prophets and the truthful and the martyrs and the improved ones. The best of company are they.
4/An-Nisaa-70: Thalika alfadlu mina Allahi wakafa biAllahi AAaleeman
Such a Bounty (fazl) is from Allah and Allah is Sufficient as All-Knower.
4/An-Nisaa-71: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo khuthoo hithrakum fainfiroo thubatin awi infiroo jameeAAan
O you who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to make their spirits reach Allah before dying)! Take your precautions (arms), then go forth in detachments or go forth in a body (all together).
4/An-Nisaa-72: Wainna minkum laman layubattianna fain asabatkum museebatun qala qad anAAama Allahu AAalayya ith lam akun maAAahum shaheedan
And there is certainly among you he who would linger behind (from fighting in the Way of Allah) If then a misfortune befalls you he says: Surely Allah conferred a blessing on me that I was not present (a martyr) with them.
4/An-Nisaa-73: Walain asabakum fadlun mina Allahi layaqoolanna kaan lam takun baynakum wabaynahu mawaddatun ya laytanee kuntu maAAahum faafooza fawzan AAatheeman
But if a grace (victory, booty) comes to you from Allah, he would surely say as if there had never been (ties of) affection between you and him-Oh! I wish I had been with them: then I would have achieved a great success (a good share of booty).
4/An-Nisaa-74: Falyuqatil fee sabeeli Allahi allatheena yashroona alhayata alddunya bialakhirati waman yuqatil fee sabeeli Allahi fayuqtal aw yaghlib fasawfa nuteehi ajran AAatheeman
Let those who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter fight in the Way of Allah, and is killed or is victorious, We shall grant him a mighty reward (an Immense Wage).
4/An-Nisaa-75: Wama lakum la tuqatiloona fee sabeeli Allahi waalmustadAAafeena mina alrrijali waalnnisai waalwildani allatheena yaqooloona rabbana akhrijna min hathihi alqaryati alththalimi ahluha waijAAal lana min ladunka waliyyan waijAAal lana min ladunka naseeran
And what reason have you that you should not fight in the Way of Allah and of the weak among the men and the women and the children, (of) those who say: Our Lord! Cause us to go forth from this town, whose people are oppressors, and give us from your Presence a helper.
4/An-Nisaa-76: Allatheena amanoo yuqatiloona fee sabeeli Allahi waallatheena kafaroo yuqatiloona fee sabeeli alttaghooti faqatiloo awliyaa alshshaytani inna kayda alshshaytani kana daAAeefan
those who believe (who are âmenû) fight in the Way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of the Tâgût (satans, and satans from the men and jinn). Fight therefore against the friends of the Shaitan (Satan); surely the plot of Satan is weak.
4/An-Nisaa-77: Alam tara ila allatheena qeela lahum kuffoo aydiyakum waaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata falamma kutiba AAalayhimu alqitalu itha fareequn minhum yakhshawna alnnasa kakhashyati Allahi aw ashadda khashyatan waqaloo rabbana lima katabta AAalayna alqitala lawla akhkhartana ila ajalin qareebin qul mataAAu alddunya qaleelun waalakhiratu khayrun limani ittaqa wala tuthlamoona fateelan
Have you not seen those to whom it was said: hold back your hands (from fighting), and keep up the Prayer(s) and pay the poor-rate (the Zakat); but when fighting is prescribed for them, behold! a party of them fear men as they ought to have feared Allah, or (even) with a greater fear, and say: Our Lord! Why have you ordained fighting for us? If only You would give us respite to a near end? Say: the enjoyment (provision, benefit) is short (little) and the Hereafter is better for him who has piety (takwâ) and you shall not be wronged even equal to a scalish thread in the long slit of a date-stone.
4/An-Nisaa-78: Aynama takoonoo yudrikkumu almawtu walaw kuntum fee buroojin mushayyadatin wain tusibhum hasanatun yaqooloo hathihi min AAindi Allahi wain tusibhum sayyiatun yaqooloo hathihi min AAindika qul kullun min AAindi Allahi famali haolai alqawmi la yakadoona yafqahoona hadeethan
Wherever you may be, death will reach you even if you are in fortresses built up strong and high. Yet if some good befalls them, they say: this is from Allah and if an evil befalls them, they say: this is from you. Say: All is from Allah. But what is wrong with these people that they fail to understand any word (fact)?
4/An-Nisaa-79: Ma asabaka min hasanatin famina Allahi wama asabaka min sayyiatin famin nafsika waarsalnaka lilnnasi rasoolan wakafa biAllahi shaheedan
Whatever of good befalls you is from Allah and whatever evil befalls you is from your own soul (yourself) and We have sent you as a Messenger to mankind; and Allah Sufficient as a Witness.
4/An-Nisaa-80: Man yutiAAi alrrasoola faqad ataAAa Allaha waman tawalla fama arsalnaka AAalayhim hafeethan
Whoever obeys the Messenger, he indeed obeys Allah; and whoever turns back, so We have not sent you as a keeper (watcher) over them.
4/An-Nisaa-81: Wayaqooloona taAAatun faitha barazoo min AAindika bayyata taifatun minhum ghayra allathee taqoolu waAllahu yaktubu ma yubayyitoona faaAArid AAanhum watawakkal AAala Allahi wakafa biAllahi wakeelan
And they say: Obedience (with pleasure), But when they go out of your presence, a party of them spend all night in planning other than what you say; and Allah writes down what they plan by night, therefore turn aside from them and put your trust in Allah, and Allah is Ever All-Sufficient as Trustee (Deputy).
4/An-Nisaa-82: Afala yatadabbaroona alqurana walaw kana min AAindi ghayri Allahi lawajadoo feehi ikhtilafan katheeran
Do they not then ponder on the Qur’an? If it had been from other than Allah they would have found in it many contradictions.
4/An-Nisaa-83: Waitha jaahum amrun mina alamni awi alkhawfi athaAAoo bihi walaw raddoohu ila alrrasooli waila olee alamri minhum laAAalimahu allatheena yastanbitoonahu minhum walawla fadlu Allahi AAalaykum warahmatuhu laittabaAAtumu alshshaytana illa qaleelan
And when any news of security or fear come to them, they spread it abroad (disclose it); whereas if they had referred it (the news) to the Messenger or to those charged with authority (if they had not disclosed it to all the people), those among them who are able to think out (search out) the knowledge of it would have known it (the truth). İf it had not been for the Grace [(the light of) Virtue] of Allah and His (light of) mercy you would have certainly followed (depended on) Satan, all but a few of you.
4/An-Nisaa-84: Faqatil fee sabeeli Allahi la tukallafu illa nafsaka waharridi almumineena AAasa Allahu an yakuffa basa allatheena kafaroo waAllahu ashaddu basan waashaddu tankeelan
Fight (Strive) in the Way of Allah; you are not responsible (for anyone) except for your own soul and rouse the believers (to ardor). Perhaps Allah will restrain (from you) the might and attack of those who disbelieve and Allah is Stronger in Might and Stronger in inflicting punishment.
4/An-Nisaa-85: Man yashfaAA shafaAAatan hasanatan yakun lahu naseebun minha waman yashfaAA shafaAAatan sayyiatan yakun lahu kiflun minha wakana Allahu AAala kulli shayin muqeetan
Whoever intercedes for a good intercession (helps to be done good) will have a portion of it (of this good) and whoever intercedes with an evil intercession (helps to be committed evil) will have a share of it (of this evil). And Allah is Ever All-Able to do everything (oversees all things).
4/An-Nisaa-86: Waitha huyyeetum bitahiyyatin fahayyoo biahsana minha aw ruddooha inna Allaha kana AAala kulli shayin haseeban
And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet with a better (greeting) than it or return it. Surely Allah is Ever a Careful Account Taker of all things.
4/An-Nisaa-87: Allahu la ilaha illa huwa layajmaAAannakum ila yawmi alqiyamati la rayba feehi waman asdaqu mina Allahi hadeethan
Allah! There is no god except Him. He gathers you all to a Day about which there is no doubt and who is more true in word than Allah?
4/An-Nisaa-88: Fama lakum fee almunafiqeena fiatayni waAllahu arkasahum bima kasaboo atureedoona an tahdoo man adalla Allahu waman yudlili Allahu falan tajida lahu sabeelan
What is the matter with you, then, that you have become two parties about the hypocrites, while Allah has made them return (to unbelief) for what (the negative grades) they have earned. Do you wish to make attain to guidance him whom Allah has caused to fall into Misguidance? He whom Allah has caused to fall into Misguidance, for him never can you find a way.
4/An-Nisaa-89: Waddoo law takfuroona kama kafaroo fatakoonoona sawaan fala tattakhithoo minhum awliyaa hatta yuhajiroo fee sabeeli Allahi fain tawallaw fakhuthoohum waoqtuloohum haythu wajadtumoohum wala tattakhithoo minhum waliyyan wala naseeran
They yearn that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike (equal, at the same level); therefore do not take from among them friends until they emigrate in the Way of Allah; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, And do not take from among them a friend or a helper.
4/An-Nisaa-90: Illa allatheena yasiloona ila qawmin baynakum wabaynahum meethaqun aw jaookum hasirat sudooruhum an yuqatilookum aw yuqatiloo qawmahum walaw shaa Allahu lasallatahum AAalaykum falaqatalookum faini iAAtazalookum falam yuqatilookum waalqaw ilaykumu alssalama fama jaAAala Allahu lakum AAalayhim sabeelan
Except those who reach a people between whom and you there is a treaty, or who come to you, their hearts shrinking from fighting you or fighting their own people; and if Allah had willed, He would have given them power over you, so that they should have certainly fought you; therefore if they withdraw from you and do not fight you and offer you peace, then Allah has not given you a way against them.
4/An-Nisaa-91: Satajidoona akhareena yureedoona an yamanookum wayamanoo qawmahum kulla ma ruddoo ila alfitnati orkisoo feeha fain lam yaAAtazilookum wayulqoo ilaykumu alssalama wayakuffoo aydiyahum fakhuthoohum waoqtuloohum haythu thaqiftumoohum waolaikum jaAAalna lakum AAalayhim sultanan mubeenan
You will find others who desire that they should be safe from you and secure from their own people; as often as they are sent back to the temptation (“Fitnah”, dissension, discord) they get thrown into it headlong; therefore if they do not withdraw from you and (do not) offer you peace and restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them; and against these We have given you a clear authority (to attack them).
4/An-Nisaa-92: Wama kana limuminin an yaqtula muminan illa khataan waman qatala muminan khataan fatahreeru raqabatin muminatin wadiyatun musallamatun ila ahlihi illa an yassaddaqoo fain kana min qawmin AAaduwwin lakum wahuwa muminun fatahreeru raqabatin muminatin wain kana min qawmin baynakum wabaynahum meethaqun fadiyatun musallamatun ila ahlihi watahreeru raqabatin muminatin faman lam yajid fasiyamu shahrayni mutatabiAAayni tawbatan mina Allahi wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman
It is not (admissible) for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake; and whoever kills a believer by mistake, he should set free a believing slave and blood-money should be paid (delivered) to the family of the slain, unless they remit it as alms; but if he (who killed a man by mistake) is from a tribe hostile to you and he is a believer, the freeing of a believing slave (is prescribed); and if he is from a tribe between whom and you there is a covenant, the blood-money should be paid (delivered) to his people along with the freeing of a believing slave; but he who can not find (a slave) should fast for two months successively in order to seek repentance from Allah. And Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise (the One Who judges in the best manner).
4/An-Nisaa-93: Waman yaqtul muminan mutaAAammidan fajazaohu jahannamu khalidan feeha waghadiba Allahu AAalayhi walaAAanahu waaAAadda lahu AAathaban AAatheeman
And whoever kills a believer premeditatedly, his reward (punishment) is Hell; he shall abide in it forever; Allah has sent His Wrath on him and cursed him and he has prepared for him a great torment.
4/An-Nisaa-94: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha darabtum fee sabeeli Allahi fatabayyanoo wala taqooloo liman alqa ilaykumu alssalama lasta muminan tabtaghoona AAarada alhayati alddunya faAAinda Allahi maghanimu katheeratun kathalika kuntum min qablu famanna Allahu AAalaykum fatabayyanoo inna Allaha kana bima taAAmaloona khabeeran
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! When you go out (to fight) in the Way of Allah, make investigation (bring out into the open) (in order to distinguish the believers) and do not say any one who offers you peace: you are not a believer, seeking the perishable goods of the worldly life. But with Allah there are abundant (gains and) booties. You too were such before, then Allah conferred a blessing upon you; therefore take care to investigate; surely Allah is Ever Well-Aware of what you do.
4/An-Nisaa-95: La yastawee alqaAAidoona mina almumineena ghayru olee alddarari waalmujahidoona fee sabeeli Allahi biamwalihim waanfusihim faddala Allahu almujahideena biamwalihim waanfusihim AAala alqaAAideena darajatan wakullan waAAada Allahu alhusna wafaddala Allahu almujahideena AAala alqaAAideena ajran AAatheeman
Those of the believers who sit (at home) other than those who have a (disabling) hurt, are not equal with those who strive hard (and fight) in the Way of Allah with their wealth and their persons; Allah has made the strivers (and fighters) with their property and their persons (lives) to excel the holders back a (high) degree, and to each (class) Allah has promised “Husna” (the most excellent); and Allah shall grant to the strivers above the holders back a Might Reward (Wage).
4/An-Nisaa-96: Darajatin minhu wamaghfiratan warahmatan wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman
(High) degrees from Him and forgiveness and mercy; and Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
4/An-Nisaa-97: Inna allatheena tawaffahumu almalaikatu thalimee anfusihim qaloo feema kuntum qaloo kunna mustadAAafeena fee alardi qaloo alam takun ardu Allahi wasiAAatan fatuhajiroo feeha faolaika mawahum jahannamu wasaat maseeran
Surely (as for) those whom the angels cause to die while they wrong themselves (their souls), they shall ask; In what (state) were you? They shall say: We were weak in the Earth. They (the angels) shall say: Was not Allah’s earth spacious, so that you should have migrated therein? So these it is whose abode is Hell and it is an evil journey’s end.
4/An-Nisaa-98: Illa almustadAAafeena mina alrrijali waalnnisai waalwildani la yastateeAAoona heelatan wala yahtadoona sabeelan
Except the weak from among the men and the children who have not in their power the means nor can they find a way (for emigration).
4/An-Nisaa-99: Faolaika AAasa Allahu an yaAAfuwa AAanhum wakana Allahu AAafuwwan ghafooran
So these, it may be that Allah will pardon them, and Allah is Ever Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.
4/An-Nisaa-100: Waman yuhajir fee sabeeli Allahi yajid fee alardi muraghaman katheeran wasaAAatan waman yakhruj min baytihi muhajiran ila Allahi warasoolihi thumma yudrikhu almawtu faqad waqaAAa ajruhu AAala Allahi wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman
And whoever emigrates in the Way of Allah, will find in the earth many a place of refuge and abundant ressources; and whoever goes forth from his house as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him, his reward is indeed with Allah and Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
4/An-Nisaa-101: Waitha darabtum fee alardi falaysa AAalaykum junahun an taqsuroo mina alssalati in khiftum an yaftinakumu allatheena kafaroo inna alkafireena kanoo lakum AAaduwwan mubeenan
And when you journey in the earth there is no sin (blame) on you if you shorten the prayer, if you fear that those who disbelieve will cause you distress; surely the disbelievers are an open enemy to you.
4/An-Nisaa-102: Waitha kunta feehim faaqamta lahumu alssalata faltaqum taifatun minhum maAAaka walyakhuthoo aslihatahum faitha sajadoo falyakoonoo min waraikum waltati taifatun okhra lam yusalloo falyusalloo maAAaka walyakhuthoo hithrahum waaslihatahum wadda allatheena kafaroo law taghfuloona AAan aslihatikum waamtiAAatikum fayameeloona AAalaykum maylatan wahidatan wala junaha AAalaykum in kana bikum athan min matarin aw kuntum marda an tadaAAoo aslihatakum wakhuthoo hithrakum inna Allaha aAAadda lilkafireena AAathaban muheenan
And when you are among them and keep up the prayer for them, let a party of them stand up with you (for prayers), and let them take their arms; then when they have prostrated themselves let them go to the rear, and let another party who have not prayed come forward and pray with you and let them take their precautions and their arms; (for) those who disbelieve desire that you may be careless of your arms and your luggage, so that they may then turn upon you with a sudden united attack; and there is no sin (blame) on you, if you are annoyed with rain or if you are sick, that you may lay down your arms; and take your precautions; surely Allah has prepared a disgraceful torment for the disbelievers.
4/An-Nisaa-103: Faitha qadaytumu alssalata faothkuroo Allaha qiyaman waquAAoodan waAAala junoobikum faitha itmanantum faaqeemoo alssalata inna alssalata kanat AAala almumineena kitaban mawqootan
When you have finished (the congregational) prayer, then remember (repeat the Name of) Allah continuously standing and sitting down and (lying down) on your sides; but when you are in safety, keep up the prayer; surely the prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours (the prayer is a timed ordinance for the believers)
4/An-Nisaa-104: Wala tahinoo fee ibtighai alqawmi in takoonoo talamoona fainnahum yalamoona kama talamoona watarjoona mina Allahi ma la yarjoona wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman
And do not relent in pursuit of the people (who are your enemy), if you suffer pain, then surely they (too) suffer pain as you suffer pain, and you hope from Allah what they do not hope; and Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise.
4/An-Nisaa-105: Inna anzalna ilayka alkitaba bialhaqqi litahkuma bayna alnnasi bima araka Allahu wala takun lilkhaineena khaseeman
Surely, We have sent down to you the Book (this Qur’an) with the truth that you may judge between people by means of that which Allah has shown (taught) you; and so be not a pleader for the treacherous.
4/An-Nisaa-106: Waistaghfiri Allaha inna Allaha kana ghafooran raheeman
And seek forgiveness of Allah. Surely Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (He manifests Himself with the Name of the Most Merciful).
4/An-Nisaa-107: Wala tujadil AAani allatheena yakhtanoona anfusahum inna Allaha la yuhibbu man kana khawwanan atheeman
And do not argue on behalf of those who act unfaithfully to their souls. Verily, Allah does not love anyone who is a betrayer, sinner.
4/An-Nisaa-108: Yastakhfoona mina alnnasi wala yastakhfoona mina Allahi wahuwa maAAahum ith yubayyitoona ma la yarda mina alqawli wakana Allahu bima yaAAmaloona muheetan
They may hide (their crimes) from men, but they can not hide (them) from Allah; He is with them when they plot by night in words displeasing to Him. And Allah ever encompasses what they do.
4/An-Nisaa-109: Haantum haolai jadaltum AAanhum fee alhayati alddunya faman yujadilu Allaha AAanhum yawma alqiyamati am man yakoonu AAalayhim wakeelan
Behold! You are those who have argued for them in this world’s life, but who will argue for them on the Day of Resurrection against Allah, or who will be then a defender (deputy) for them?
4/An-Nisaa-110: Waman yaAAmal sooan aw yathlim nafsahu thumma yastaghfiri Allaha yajidi Allaha ghafooran raheeman
And whoever does evil or wrongs his own soul, then asks forgiveness of Allah, he will then find Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
4/An-Nisaa-111: Waman yaksib ithman fainnama yaksibuhu AAala nafsihi wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman
And whoever earns sin, he earns it only against his own soul (as negative degree). And Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise (the Owner of Judgement and Wisdom).
4/An-Nisaa-112: Waman yaksib khateeatan aw ithman thumma yarmi bihi bareean faqadi ihtamala buhtanan waithman mubeenan
And whoever commits a fault or a sin, then throws it on to one who is innocent, he indeed takes upon himself the burden of a calumny and a manifest sin.
4/An-Nisaa-113: Walawla fadlu Allahi AAalayka warahmatuhu lahammat taifatun minhum an yudillooka wama yudilloona illa anfusahum wama yadurroonaka min shayin waanzala Allahu AAalayka alkitaba waalhikmata waAAallamaka ma lam takun taAAlamu wakana fadlu Allahi AAalayka AAatheeman
And were it not for Allah’s grace [(the light of) Virtue] upon you and His (light of) Mercy, a party of them had certainly designed to bring you to perdition (to mislead you) but (in fact) they do not mislead (deviate from the Way of Allah) none except their own souls and they shall not harm you in any way; and Allah has sent down to you the Book (the Qur’an) and the Wisdom and He has taught you what you did not know, and Allah’s Grace on you is very great.
4/An-Nisaa-114: La khayra fee katheerin min najwahum illa man amara bisadaqatin aw maAAroofin aw islahin bayna alnnasi waman yafAAal thalika ibtighaa mardati Allahi fasawfa nuteehi ajran AAatheeman
There is no good in most of their secret counsels except (in his) who enjoins charity or goodness or reconciliation between people; and whoever does this seeking Allah’s Pleasure, We will give him a mighty reward (wage).
4/An-Nisaa-115: Waman yushaqiqi alrrasoola min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahu alhuda wayattabiAA ghayra sabeeli almumineena nuwallihi ma tawalla wanuslihi jahannama wasaat maseeran
And whoever opposes the Messenger ofter the guidance has become manifest to him, and follows other than the way of the (true) believers, We will turn him to that to which he has (himself) turned and make them enter Hell; and it is an evil journey’s end.
4/An-Nisaa-116: Inna Allaha la yaghfiru an yushraka bihi wayaghfiru ma doona thalika liman yashao waman yushrik biAllahi faqad dalla dalalan baAAeedan
Surely Allah does not forgive that anything should be associated with Him, and He forgives what is besides this to whom He wills; and whoever associates anything with Allah, he indeed strays off into a remote Misguidance.
4/An-Nisaa-117: In yadAAoona min doonihi illa inathan wain yadAAoona illa shaytanan mareedan
They do not call besides Him on anything but females (idols that they name as females) and they do not call on anything but Satan, the persistent rebel!
4/An-Nisaa-118: LaAAanahu Allahu waqala laattakhithanna min AAibadika naseeban mafroodan
Allah has cursed him (Satan); and he (Satan) said: Most certainly I will take of Your servants an appointed portion.
4/An-Nisaa-119: Walaodillannahum walaomanniyannahum walaamurannahum falayubattikunna athana alanAAami walaamurannahum falayughayyirunna khalqa Allahi waman yattakhithi alshshaytana waliyyan min dooni Allahi faqad khasira khusranan mubeenan
And most certainly I will lead them astray (I will leave them in Misguidance) and surely I will excite in them vain desires and surely I will command them and they will absolutely cut the cattle’s ears and surely I will command them and they will absolutely alter Allah’s creation; and whoever takes Satan for a friend instead of Allah, has surely suffered a manifest loss (Husran that makes man deserving of Hell).
4/An-Nisaa-120: YaAAiduhum wayumanneehim wama yaAAiduhumu alshshaytanu illa ghurooran
He (Satan) makes them promises and excites vain desires in them, and Satan does not promise them but to deceive (beguile).
4/An-Nisaa-121: Olaika mawahum jahannamu wala yajidoona AAanha maheesan
For such their dwelling-place will be Hell, and they shall not find any refuge from it.
4/An-Nisaa-122: Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati sanudkhiluhum jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha abadan waAAda Allahi haqqan waman asdaqu mina Allahi qeelan
And (as for) those who believe (who are âmenû and do improving deeds (that purify the souls’ hearts), We will make them enter into Gardens beneath which the rivers flow, to abide therein forever; Allah’s Promise is true, and who is truer of word than Allah?
4/An-Nisaa-123: Laysa biamaniyyikum wala amaniyyi ahli alkitabi man yaAAmal sooan yujza bihi wala yajid lahu min dooni Allahi waliyyan wala naseeran
(This) shall not be in accordance with your vain desires nor in accordance with the vain desires of the people of the Book; whoever does evil, he shall be requited with it, and besides Allah he will not find for himself neither a protecting friend nor a helper.
4/An-Nisaa-124: Waman yaAAmal mina alssalihati min thakarin aw ontha wahuwa muminun faolaika yadkhuloona aljannata wala yuthlamoona naqeeran
And whoever does (some) of the improving deeds [the purification of the soul (’s heart)] whether male or female and he (or she) is a believer-these shall enter the Garden (Paradise) and they shall not be wronged even to the size of a speck on the back of a datestone.
4/An-Nisaa-125: Waman ahsanu deenan mimman aslama wajhahu lillahi wahuwa muhsinun waittabaAAa millata ibraheema haneefan waittakhatha Allahu ibraheema khaleelan
And who can be better in religion than one who submits his face (his physical body) to Allah; and he is a Muhsin (a good-doer, he who has submitted his physical body to Allah by causing it to become a servant to Him) and follows the religion of Abraham as a Hanîf (pure monotheist) And Allah did take Abraham as an intimate friend!
4/An-Nisaa-126: Walillahi ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi wakana Allahu bikulli shayin muheetan
And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah’s; and Allah encompasses (with His Knowledge and Mercy) all things.
4/An-Nisaa-127: Wayastaftoonaka fee alnnisai quli Allahu yufteekum feehinna wama yutla AAalaykum fee alkitabi fee yatama alnnisai allatee la tutoonahunna ma kutiba lahunna watarghaboona an tankihoohunna waalmustadAAafeena mina alwildani waan taqoomoo lilyatama bialqisti wama tafAAaloo min khayrin fainna Allaha kana bihi AAaleeman
They ask your (legal) instruction concerning the women. Say: Allah makes known to you His Decision concerning them, and that which has been read (and explained) to you in the Book (in the Verses) concerning female orphans whom you do not give what is appointed for them while you desire to marry them, and concerning the weak among the children, and that you should deal towards the orphans with equity; and whatever good you do, Allah surely knows it.
4/An-Nisaa-128: Waini imraatun khafat min baAAliha nushoozan aw iAAradan fala junaha AAalayhima an yusliha baynahuma sulhan waalssulhu khayrun waohdirati alanfusu alshshuhha wain tuhsinoo watattaqoo fainna Allaha kana bima taAAmaloona khabeeran
And if a woman fears ill-treatment (indifference) from her husband, or desertion, it is no sin for the two of them if they effect a reconciliation between them, and reconciliation (peace) is better, and avarice has been made to be present in the (men’s) souls (and the souls have been created as inclined towards niggardliness and greed) and if you do good (to others) and have piety (takwa), surely Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do.
4/An-Nisaa-129: Walan tastateeAAoo an taAAdiloo bayna alnnisai walaw harastum fala tameeloo kulla almayli fatatharooha kaalmuAAallaqati wain tuslihoo watattaqoo fainna Allaha kana ghafooran raheeman
You will never be able to do perfect justice between wives even if it is your ardent desire, so do not incline too much to one of them so as to leave the other hanging (i.e. neither divorced nor married), and if you effect a reconciliation and have piety [guard (against evil)], then surely Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
4/An-Nisaa-130: Wain yatafarraqa yughni Allahu kullan min saAAatihi wakana Allahu wasiAAan hakeeman
And if they (the couples) separate, Allah will render them both free from want (will make them both rich, will not make them needy) out of His Ampleness, and Allah is Ever All-Embracing (His Mercy and Beneficence are Ample), All-Wise (the Owner of Judgement and Wisdom).
4/An-Nisaa-131: Walillahi ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi walaqad wassayna allatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum waiyyakum ani ittaqoo Allaha wain takfuroo fainna lillahi ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi wakana Allahu ghaniyyan hameedan
And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah’s and certainly We enjoined those who were given the Book before you and (We enjoined) you too that you should have piety towards Allah (you should be careful of your duty to Allah) and if you disbelieve, then surely whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah’s and Allah is Ever Rich (Free of all wants), Praiseworthy.
4/An-Nisaa-132: Walillahi ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi wakafa biAllahi wakeelan
And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah’s and Allah is Ever All-Sufficient as Trustee (Deputy).
4/An-Nisaa-133: In yasha yuthhibkum ayyuha alnnasu wayati biakhareena wakana Allahu AAala thalika qadeeran
If He wills, He can make you pass away, O mankind! and bring others; and Allah has the Power to do this.
4/An-Nisaa-134: Man kana yureedu thawaba alddunya faAAinda Allahi thawabu alddunya waalakhirati wakana Allahu sameeAAan baseeran
Whoever desires the reward of the world (even if he fights in order to obtain the property, the booty of this world), then with Allah is the reward of the world and the Hereafter (if he desires also the Pleasure of Allah) And Allah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Seer.
4/An-Nisaa-135: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo koonoo qawwameena bialqisti shuhadaa lillahi walaw AAala anfusikum awi alwalidayni waalaqrabeena in yakun ghaniyyan aw faqeeran faAllahu awla bihima fala tattabiAAoo alhawa an taAAdiloo wain talwoo aw tuAAridoo fainna Allaha kana bima taAAmaloona khabeeran
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Be maintainers of justice, bearers of witness of Allah’s sake, even though it may be against your own selves or (your) parents or near relatives; if he be rich or poor, Allah is nearer to them both (than you are), therefore do not follow (your) low desires, lest you avoid justice; and if you bend your tongues (if you change your words) and turn aside (from the truth, justice) then surely Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do.
4/An-Nisaa-136: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo aminoo biAllahi warasoolihi waalkitabi allathee nazzala AAala rasoolihi waalkitabi allathee anzala min qablu waman yakfur biAllahi wamalaikatihi wakutubihi warusulihi waalyawmi alakhiri faqad dalla dalalan baAAeedan
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Believe in Allah, and His Messenger and the Book (the Qur'ân) which He has sent down to His Messenger and the Book He sent down to those before (him); and whoever disbelieves in Allah, and His Angels, and His Messengers and the Last Day (when the man’s spirit arrives at Allah before death and the Day of Resurrection), he indeed strays off into a remote Misguidance.
4/An-Nisaa-137: Inna allatheena amanoo thumma kafaroo thumma amanoo thumma kafaroo thumma izdadoo kufran lam yakuni Allahu liyaghfira lahum wala liyahdiyahum sabeelan
Surely (as for) those who believe (become âmenû) then disbelieve (deny), again believe and again disbelieve, then increase in disbelief, Allah will not forgive them nor guide them to a way (the Straight Path leading to Allah).
4/An-Nisaa-138: Bashshiri almunafiqeena bianna lahum AAathaban aleeman
Give to the hypocrites the tidings that for them there is a painful torment.
4/An-Nisaa-139: Allatheena yattakhithoona alkafireena awliyaa min dooni almumineena ayabtaghoona AAindahumu alAAizzata fainna alAAizzata lillahi jameeAAan
Those who take the disbelievers for friends instead of the believers. Do they seek honor (power and glory) with them? Then surely all honor (power, glory) is for Allah.
4/An-Nisaa-140: Waqad nazzala AAalaykum fee alkitabi an itha samiAAtum ayati Allahi yukfaru biha wayustahzao biha fala taqAAudoo maAAahum hatta yakhoodoo fee hadeethin ghayrihi innakum ithan mithluhum inna Allaha jamiAAu almunafiqeena waalkafireena fee jahannama jameeAAan
And indeed He has sent down to you in the Book (the Qur'ân) that when you hear Allah’s Verses (Signs) disbelieved (denied, rejected) in and mocked at, do not sit with them until they engage in some other discourse; surely then you would be like them; surely Allah will gather together the hypocrites and the disbelievers all in Hell.
4/An-Nisaa-141: Allatheena yatarabbasoona bikum fain kana lakum fathun mina Allahi qaloo alam nakun maAAakum wain kana lilkafireena naseebun qaloo alam nastahwith AAalaykum wanamnaAAkum mina almumineena faAllahu yahkumu baynakum yawma alqiyamati walan yajAAala Allahu lilkafireena AAala almumineena sabeelan
Those who wait and watch you closely, if there is for you a conquest (victory) from Allah they say: were we not with you? And if there is for the disbelievers some share (from the victory) they say: Did we not be a shield over you? And did we not protect you (from what may come from the believers)? Allah will judge between you (all) on the Day of Resurrection; and Allah by no means give the disbelievers a way (to triumph) against (over) the believers.
4/An-Nisaa-142: Inna almunafiqeena yukhadiAAoona Allaha wahuwa khadiAAuhum waitha qamoo ila alssalati qamoo kusala yuraoona alnnasa wala yathkuroona Allaha illa qaleelan
Surely the hypocrites seek to deceive Allah but it is Allah who deceives them. And when they stand up to prayer, they stand up sluggishly; they do it only to be seen of men and do not remember (repeat the Name of) Allah but little.
4/An-Nisaa-143: Muthabthabeena bayna thalika la ila haolai wala ila haolai waman yudlili Allahu falan tajida lahu sabeelan
(They are) swaying between this (disbelief) and that (belief), (being) neither with these (believers) nor with those (disbelievers). And whomever Allah leaves in Misguidance, you shall not find a way for him (you can not cause them to attain to the Straight Path which will make them reach Allah).
4/An-Nisaa-144: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tattakhithoo alkafireena awliyaa min dooni almumineena atureedoona an tajAAaloo lillahi AAalaykum sultanan mubeenan
O you believe (who wish to make their spirits reach Allah before dying)! Do not take the disbelievers for friends instead of the believers; would you wish to offer Allah an open proof against yourselves?
4/An-Nisaa-145: Inna almunafiqeena fee alddarki alasfali mina alnnari walan tajida lahum naseeran
Surely the hypocrites are in the lowest depth of the Fire; and you will find no helper for them.
4/An-Nisaa-146: Illa allatheena taboo waaslahoo waiAAtasamoo biAllahi waakhlasoo deenahum lillahi faolaika maAAa almumineena wasawfa yuti Allahu almumineena ajran AAatheeman
Except those who repent (from hypocrisy) and improve [their souls (‘s hearts) and hold fast to Allah and make their religion pure for Allah (only)]. Those are then with the believers, and Allah will grant the believers a mighty reward (wage).
4/An-Nisaa-147: Ma yafAAalu Allahu biAAathabikum in shakartum waamantum wakana Allahu shakiran AAaleeman
Allah should not torment (punish) you if you are grateful and believe (if you wish to reach Allah while you are living and if you attain to your saint guide (murshid) and depend on him and thus you become a believer as the Faith has been written into your heart). And Allah is Ever All-Appreciative (of thankfulness), All-Knowing (it).
4/An-Nisaa-148: La yuhibbu Allahu aljahra bialssooi mina alqawli illa man thulima wakana Allahu sameeAAan AAaleeman
Allah does not love the public utterance of hurtful speech except by one who has been wronged. And Allah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Knower.
4/An-Nisaa-149: In tubdoo khayran aw tukhfoohu aw taAAfoo AAan sooin fainna Allaha kana AAafuwwan qadeeran
If you do good openly or do it in secret or pardon an evil, then surely Allah is Ever Oft-Pardoning, All-Powerful.
4/An-Nisaa-150: Inna allatheena yakfuroona biAllahi warusulihi wayureedoona an yufarriqoo bayna Allahi warusulihi wayaqooloona numinu bibaAAdin wanakfuru bibaAAdin wayureedoona an yattakhithoo bayna thalika sabeelan
Surely those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers and wish to make distinction between Allah and His Messengers and say: We believe in some and disbelieve (reject) in others, and wish to take a way in between (this belief and that disbelief).
4/An-Nisaa-151: Olaika humu alkafiroona haqqan waaAAtadna lilkafireena AAathaban muheenan
These it is that are truly disbelievers, and We have prepared for the disbelievers a disgraceful (humiliating) torment.
4/An-Nisaa-152: Waallatheena amanoo biAllahi warusulihi walam yufarriqoo bayna ahadin minhum olaika sawfa yuteehim ojoorahum wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman
And those who believe in Allah and His Messengers and do not make a distinction between any of them-Allah will grant them their rewards; and Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving (the One who changes evil deeds into rewards and manifests Himself with the Name of Most Merciful).
4/An-Nisaa-153: Yasaluka ahlu alkitabi an tunazzila AAalayhim kitaban mina alssamai faqad saaloo moosa akbara min thalika faqaloo arina Allaha jahratan faakhathathumu alssaAAiqatu bithulmihim thumma ittakhathoo alAAijla min baAAdi ma jaathumu albayyinatu faAAafawna AAan thalika waatayna moosa sultanan mubeenan
The People of the Book ask you to cause a Book to descend upon them from heaven. So indeed they demanded of Moses a greater thing than that, when they said: Show us Allah manifestly; the storm of lightning overtook them on account of their injustice. Then they took the calf (for a god) after the clear arguments (signs) had come to them; but We pardoned this; and We gave Moses a clear authority (Sultan).
4/An-Nisaa-154: WarafaAAna fawqahumu alttoora bimeethaqihim waqulna lahumu odkhuloo albaba sujjadan waqulna lahum la taAAdoo fee alssabti waakhathna minhum meethaqan ghaleethan
And We lifted over them the Mount (of Sinai) at (the taking of) their covenant and We said to them: Enter the gate prostrating and We said to them: Do not exceed the limits of the Sabbath (Saturday) And We took from them a firm covenant.
4/An-Nisaa-155: Fabima naqdihim meethaqahum wakufrihim biayati Allahi waqatlihimu alanbiyaa bighayri haqqin waqawlihim quloobuna ghulfun bal tabaAAa Allahu AAalayha bikufrihim fala yuminoona illa qaleelan
Then, because of their breaking their covenant and their disbelief in the Verses (Signs…) of Allah and their killing the Prophets wrongfully and their saying: our hearts are wrapped (covered); nay! Allah set a seal upon them (their hearts) for their disbelief, so they shall (can) not believe except a few.
4/An-Nisaa-156: Wabikufrihim waqawlihim AAala maryama buhtanan AAatheeman
And for their disbelief and for their having uttered against Mary a tremendous calumny.
4/An-Nisaa-157: Waqawlihim inna qatalna almaseeha AAeesa ibna maryama rasoola Allahi wama qataloohu wama salaboohu walakin shubbiha lahum wainna allatheena ikhtalafoo feehi lafee shakkin minhu ma lahum bihi min AAilmin illa ittibaAAa alththanni wama qataloohu yaqeenan
And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah. Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah (is a tremendous calumny); and did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it (the man who was killed) appeared to them so (like Jesus) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; but only follow a conjecture; and they did not kill him for sure (certain).
4/An-Nisaa-158: Bal rafaAAahu Allahu ilayhi wakana Allahu AAazeezan hakeeman
Nay! Allah raised him up to Himself and Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All- Wise (the Owner of Judgement and Wisdom).
4/An-Nisaa-159: Wain min ahli alkitabi illa layuminanna bihi qabla mawtihi wayawma alqiyamati yakoonu AAalayhim shaheedan
And there is none of the People of the Book but most certainly believe in him before his death, and on the Day of Resurrection, he (Jesus) shall be a witness against them.
4/An-Nisaa-160: Fabithulmin mina allatheena hadoo harramna AAalayhim tayyibatin ohillat lahum wabisaddihim AAan sabeeli Allahi katheeran
Because of the wrongdoing of those who were Jews We made unlawful for them certain good (and clean) things which were (before) made lawful to them, and because they hindered many from Allah’s Way.
4/An-Nisaa-161: Waakhthihimu alrriba waqad nuhoo AAanhu waaklihim amwala alnnasi bialbatili waaAAtadna lilkafireena minhum AAathaban aleeman
And their taking usury (Ribâ) though they were forbidden it and their devouring the property of the men falsely; and We have prepared for the disbelievers from among them a painful torment (punishment).
4/An-Nisaa-162: Lakini alrrasikhoona fee alAAilmi minhum waalmuminoona yuminoona bima onzila ilayka wama onzila min qablika waalmuqeemeena alssalata waalmutoona alzzakata waalmuminoona biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri olaika sanuteehim ajran AAatheeman
But those of them who are well-grounded in knowledge and the believers, believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you; and those who keep up the prayer and those who give the poor-rate (Az-Zakât), the believers in Allah and the Last Day, these it is whom We will give a Mighty Reward (Wage).
4/An-Nisaa-163: Inna awhayna ilayka kama awhayna ila noohin waalnnabiyyeena min baAAdihi waawhayna ila ibraheema waismaAAeela waishaqa wayaAAqooba waalasbati waAAeesa waayyooba wayoonusa waharoona wasulaymana waatayna dawooda zabooran
Surely We have revealed to you as We revealed to Noah (Nûh) and the Prophets after him; and We revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, Isaac (Ishâq), Jacob (Ya’kûb) and Al-Asbât (the tribes, i.e. the offspring of the twelve sons of Jacob), Jesus, Job (Ayyûb), Jonah (Yûnus), Aaron (Hârûn) and Solomon (Sulaimân); and to David (Dâwûd) We gave the Zabûr (Psalms).
4/An-Nisaa-164: Warusulan qad qasasnahum AAalayka min qablu warusulan lam naqsushum AAalayka wakallama Allahu moosa takleeman
And Messengers We have mentioned to you before and Messengers We have not mentioned to you-and to Moses (Mûsâ) Allah addressed His word, speaking (to him).
4/An-Nisaa-165: Rusulan mubashshireena wamunthireena lialla yakoona lilnnasi AAala Allahi hujjatun baAAda alrrusuli wakana Allahu AAazeezan hakeeman
(They are) Messengers as bearers of good news and as warners so that mankind should (might) have no argument against Allah after the Messengers; and Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.
4/An-Nisaa-166: Lakini Allahu yashhadu bima anzala ilayka anzalahu biAAilmihi waalmalaikatu yashhadoona wakafa biAllahi shaheedan
But Allah bears witness by what He has sent down unto you that He has sent down it with His Knowledge, and the angels bear witness (also); and Allah is All-Sufficient as a Witness.
4/An-Nisaa-167: Inna allatheena kafaroo wasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi qad dalloo dalalan baAAeedan
Surely (as for) those who disbelieve and hinder (men) [(cause) (men) to deviate] from the Way of Allah, they indeed have strayed off into a remote Misguidance (as they have not reached their saint guides).
4/An-Nisaa-168: Inna allatheena kafaroo wathalamoo lam yakuni Allahu liyaghfira lahum wala liyahdiyahum tareeqan
Surely (as for) those who disbelieve and do wrong (who hinder others from attaining to their saint guides and cause them to deviate from Allah’s Way). Allah will not forgive them nor guide them to a road.
4/An-Nisaa-169: Illa tareeqa jahannama khalideena feeha abadan wakana thalika AAala Allahi yaseeran
Except the road to Hell, to abide in it forever, and this is easy to Allah.
4/An-Nisaa-170: Ya ayyuha alnnasu qad jaakumu alrrasoolu bialhaqqi min rabbikum faaminoo khayran lakum wain takfuroo fainna lillahi ma fee alssamawati waalardi wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman
O mankind! Surely the Messenger has come to you with the truth from your Lord, therefore believe (become âmenû, wish to make your spirits reach Allah before dying), (it shall be) good for you; and if you disbelieve, then surely whatever is in the heavens and the earth is Allah’s; and Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise (the Owner of Judgement and Wisdom).
4/An-Nisaa-171: Ya ahla alkitabi la taghloo fee deenikum wala taqooloo AAala Allahi illa alhaqqa innama almaseehu AAeesa ibnu maryama rasoolu Allahi wakalimatuhu alqaha ila maryama waroohun minhu faaminoo biAllahi warusulihi wala taqooloo thalathatun intahoo khayran lakum innama Allahu ilahun wahidun subhanahu an yakoona lahu waladun lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi wakafa biAllahi wakeelan
O People of the Book (Scripture)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion and do not speak (lies) against Allah but (speak) the truth; the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary is only a Messenger of Allah and His Word which He conveyed to Mary and a spirit from Him; believe therefore in Allah and His Messengers, and do not say: Three. Desist, it is better for you; Allah is only one God. Glory be to Him that He should have a son (Exalt Him far from having a son); whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; and Allah is All-Sufficient as Defender (Deputy, Proxy).
4/An-Nisaa-172: Lan yastankifa almaseehu an yakoona AAabdan lillahi wala almalaikatu almuqarraboona waman yastankif AAan AAibadatihi wayastakbir fasayahshuruhum ilayhi jameeAAan
The Messiah will never disdain (abstain) that he should be a servant of Allah nor do the angels who are near to Him, and whoever disdains His service and is proud, He will gather them altogether to Himself.
4/An-Nisaa-173: Faamma allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati fayuwaffeehim ojoorahum wayazeeduhum min fadlihi waamma allatheena istankafoo waistakbaroo fayuAAaththibuhum AAathaban aleeman wala yajidoona lahum min dooni Allahi waliyyan wala naseeran
Then as for those who believe (who become âmenû, who wish to make their spirits reach Allah before dying) and do improving deeds [the purification of their souls (‘s hearts)], He will pay them fully their rewards; and give them out of His Bounty [(His light of) Virtue]; and as for those who disdain and are proud, He will torment (punish) them with a painful torment. And they shall not find for them, besides Allah a protecting friend and a helper.
4/An-Nisaa-174: Ya ayyuha alnnasu qad jaakum burhanun min rabbikum waanzalna ilaykum nooran mubeenan
O mankind! Surely there has come to you a manifest (convincing) proof from your Lord and We have sent to you a manifest light.
4/An-Nisaa-175: Faamma allatheena amanoo biAllahi waiAAtasamoo bihi fasayudkhiluhum fee rahmatin minhu wafadlin wayahdeehim ilayhi siratan mustaqeeman
Then as for those who believe (who become âmenû, i.e. who wish to make their spirits reach Allah before dying) and hold fast to Him, He will cause them to enter into His (light of) Mercy and Grace (His light of Virtue) and guide them to a Straight Path (leading them to Him).
4/An-Nisaa-176: Yastaftoonaka quli Allahu yufteekum fee alkalalati ini imruon halaka laysa lahu waladun walahu okhtun falaha nisfu ma taraka wahuwa yarithuha in lam yakun laha waladun fain kanata ithnatayni falahuma alththuluthani mimma taraka wain kanoo ikhwatan rijalan wanisaan falilththakari mithlu haththi alonthayayni yubayyinu Allahu lakum an tadilloo waAllahu bikulli shayin AAaleemun
They ask you for a legal judgement. Say: Allah gives you a decision concerning the person who has neither ascendants nor descendants. If it is a man that dies leaving a sister, but no child, she shall have half of what he leaves and he shall be her heir if she has no son; if there are two sisters, they shall have two-thirds of what he (their brother) leaves; and if there are brothers and sisters, the male will have twice the share of the female. (Thus) does Allah make clear to you (His Law) lest you err (you be misguided). And Allah is the All-Knower of all things.
