79/An-Nazi'at-1: WaalnnaziAAati gharqan
(I swear) by those who pull out with great violence by diving.
79/An-Nazi'at-2: Waalnnashitati nashtan
By those who gently (softly, without injuring) take out.
79/An-Nazi'at-3: Waalssabihati sabhan
By those that keep on swimming along (running)
79/An-Nazi'at-4: Faalssabiqati sabqan
Then those that are foremost by racing.
79/An-Nazi'at-5: Faalmudabbirati amran
and by those that (fulfill the Order and) manage (govern) the Affair(s).
79/An-Nazi'at-6: Yawma tarjufu alrrajifatu
The Day on which the quaking one shall quake (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown).
79/An-Nazi'at-7: TatbaAAuha alrradifatu
What must happen afterwards (the second quaking, the second blowing of the Trumpet is blown) shall follow it (the first quaking, the first blowing of the trumpet is blown).
79/An-Nazi'at-8: Quloobun yawmaithin wajifatun
Hearts on that Day shall palpitate (with fear and anxiety).
79/An-Nazi'at-9: Absaruha khashiAAatun
Their eyes will be downcast (with fear).
79/An-Nazi'at-10: Yaqooloona ainna lamardoodoona fee alhafirati
They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state (by our dead bodies in the graves being revived)?
79/An-Nazi'at-11: Aitha kunna AAithaman nakhiratan
What! When we are rotten bones?
79/An-Nazi'at-12: Qaloo tilka ithan karratun khasiratun
They said: That then would be a return with loss.
79/An-Nazi'at-13: Fainnama hiya zajratun wahidatun
But it (reviving) will be only a single Cry (the second blowing of the Trumpet).
79/An-Nazi'at-14: Faitha hum bialssahirati
When, behold! They shall be on the surface of the earth (all be awakened).
79/An-Nazi'at-15: Hal ataka hadeethu moosa
Has there come to you the story of Moses?
79/An-Nazi'at-16: Ith nadahu rabbuhu bialwadi almuqaddasi tuwan
When his Lord called out to him in the sacred valley of Tûwâ,
79/An-Nazi'at-17: Ithhab ila firAAawna innahu tagha
Go to Pharaoh, surely he has become inordinate (he has transgressed all bounds).
79/An-Nazi'at-18: Faqul hal laka ila an tazakka
Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself (to purify your soul’s heart):
79/An-Nazi'at-19: Waahdiyaka ila rabbika fatakhsha
And that I guide you to your Lord so that you should be in awe (of Allah, ’hushu’)?
79/An-Nazi'at-20: Faarahu alayata alkubra
Then he (Moses) showed him (Pharaoh) the Mighty Sign (Miracle).
79/An-Nazi'at-21: Fakaththaba waAAasa
But he (Pharaoh) belied (denied) and disobeyed.
79/An-Nazi'at-22: Thumma adbara yasAAa
Then he turned his back in haste (by running)
79/An-Nazi'at-23: Fahashara fanada
Then he gathered (his gang) and called out.
79/An-Nazi'at-24: Faqala ana rabbukumu alaAAla
Then he said: I am your Lord, the Most High.
79/An-Nazi'at-25: Faakhathahu Allahu nakala alakhirati waaloola
So Allah seized him with the exemplary punishment of the Hereafter and the former life.
79/An-Nazi'at-26: Inna fee thalika laAAibratan liman yakhsha
Most surely there is in this an instructive warning for whosoever is in awe (of Allah).
79/An-Nazi'at-27: Aantum ashaddu khalqan ami alssamao banaha
What! Are you harder to create or the heaven? He built (constructed) it:
79/An-Nazi'at-28: RafaAAa samkaha fasawwaha
He raised high its height (its vault) and fashioned it (designed it).
79/An-Nazi'at-29: Waaghtasha laylaha waakhraja duhaha
And He made dark its night and brought out its light [He brought out its forenoon (with light)].
79/An-Nazi'at-30: Waalarda baAAda thalika dahaha
and the earth, He spread it (like the egg of the ostrich) after that
79/An-Nazi'at-31: Akhraja minha maaha wamarAAaha
He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage.
79/An-Nazi'at-32: Waaljibala arsaha
And the mountains, He made them firm (like the anchor cast).
79/An-Nazi'at-33: MataAAan lakum walianAAamikum
(To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle.
79/An-Nazi'at-34: Faitha jaati alttammatu alkubra
But when the great predominating(irresistible) calamity (the Time of Resurrection) comes,
79/An-Nazi'at-35: Yawma yatathakkaru alinsanu ma saAAa
The Day on which man shall recollect (call to mind, think) what he strove after,
79/An-Nazi'at-36: Waburrizati aljaheemu liman yara
And the blazing Fire( Hell-Fire) shall be made apparent in full view for (every) one who sees.
79/An-Nazi'at-37: Faamma man tagha
Then as for him who has been inordinate (transgressed all bounds)
79/An-Nazi'at-38: Waathara alhayata alddunya
And preferred the life of this world
79/An-Nazi'at-39: Fainna aljaheema hiya almawa
Then surely the blazing Fire (Hell-fire), that is the Abode.
79/An-Nazi'at-40: Waama man khafa maqama rabbihi wanaha alnnafsa AAani alhawa
And for him who feared the Standing of his Lord (to stand in the Presence of his Lord) and restrained his soul from the (its) low desires (did not follow his low desire)
79/An-Nazi'at-41: Fainna aljannata hiya almawa
Then surely the garden (Paradise), that is the Abode (the Refuge)
79/An-Nazi'at-42: Yasaloonaka AAani alssaAAati ayyana mursaha
they ask you about the Hour, when it will come (anchor)?
79/An-Nazi'at-43: Feema anta min thikraha
In what are you, from (other than) its mentioning? (You have no other knowledge than declaring it)
79/An-Nazi'at-44: Ila rabbika muntahaha
To your Lord is the end of it.
79/An-Nazi'at-45: Innama anta munthiru man yakhshaha
You are only a Warner to him who would fear it.
79/An-Nazi'at-46: Kaannahum yawma yarawnaha lam yalbathoo illa AAashiyyatan aw duhaha
On the Day that they see it (the Resurrection) (it will be) as if they had remained only (as long as) the latter part of a day or the early part of it (midmorning).
