75/Al-Qiyamat-1: La oqsimu biyawmi alqiyamati
Nay! (I swear) by the Day of Resurrection.
75/Al-Qiyamat-2: Wala oqsimu bialnnafsi allawwamati
Nay! (I swear) by the self- accusing (blaming) soul
75/Al-Qiyamat-3: Ayahsabu alinsanu allan najmaAAa AAithamahu
Does man reckon (think) that we can never assemble his bones (after death)? [Does man think that we shall never put his bones together again (after death)]?
75/Al-Qiyamat-4: Bala qadireena AAala an nusawwiya bananahu
Yes, we are Able to remold the very tips of his fingers (to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers).
75/Al-Qiyamat-5: Bal yureedu alinsanu liyafjura amamahu
Nay! Man desires to pass what (the time) is before him in absolute license (and transgression).
75/Al-Qiyamat-6: Yasalu ayyana yawmu alqiyamati
He asks: When is the Day of Resurrection?
75/Al-Qiyamat-7: Faitha bariqa albasaru
So when the sight becomes dazed.
75/Al-Qiyamat-8: Wakhasafa alqamaru
And the moon becomes dark (eclipsed)
75/Al-Qiyamat-9: WajumiAAa alshshamsu waalqamaru
And the sun and the moon are joined together.
75/Al-Qiyamat-10: Yaqoolu alinsanu yawmaithin ayna almafarru
Man shall say on that Day (of Permission): Where (is the place) to flee?
75/Al-Qiyamat-11: Kalla la wazara
By no means! There shall be no place of refuge.
75/Al-Qiyamat-12: Ila rabbika yawmaithin almustaqarru
With (to) your Lord (Alone) shall on that Day (of Permission) be the place of rest.
75/Al-Qiyamat-13: Yunabbao alinsanu yawmaithin bima qaddama waakhkhara
Man shall on that Day (of Permission) be informed of what he sent before (he has done) and (what he) put off (he has not done).
75/Al-Qiyamat-14: Bali alinsanu AAala nafsihi baseeratun
Nay! Man observes presence of his own soul (is a witness against his own soul),
75/Al-Qiyamat-15: Walaw alqa maAAatheerahu
Even though he were to put forth his excuses.
75/Al-Qiyamat-16: La tuharrik bihi lisanaka litaAAjala bihi
Do not move your tongue with him (Gabriel) to make haste with it (with memorizing it).
75/Al-Qiyamat-17: Inna AAalayna jamAAahu waquranahu
Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting (reading) of it.
75/Al-Qiyamat-18: Faitha qaranahu faittabiAA quranahu
Therefore when We have recited (read) it (to you) then follow its recital (recitation, reading).
75/Al-Qiyamat-19: Thumma inna AAalayna bayanahu
Then it is surely for Us to make clear (Again on Us the explaining of it).
75/Al-Qiyamat-20: Kalla bal tuhibboona alAAajilata
Nay! But you love the fleeting (life of this world).
75/Al-Qiyamat-21: Watatharoona alakhirata
and you abandon (neglect) the Hereafter.
75/Al-Qiyamat-22: Wujoohun yawmaithin nadiratun
(Some) faces on that Day (of Permission) shall be very fresh (shining and radiant).
75/Al-Qiyamat-23: Ila rabbiha nathiratun
Looking at their Lord.
75/Al-Qiyamat-24: Wawujoohun yawmaithin basiratun
And (other) faces on that Day (of Permission) shall be gloomy (frowning, sad).
75/Al-Qiyamat-25: Tathunnu an yufAAala biha faqiratun
Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity.
75/Al-Qiyamat-26: Kalla itha balaghati alttaraqiya
Nay! When it (the soul) comes up to the collarbone (to the throat).
75/Al-Qiyamat-27: Waqeela man raqin
And it is said: Is there a sorcerer to cure him (by breathing on, to save him from death)?
75/Al-Qiyamat-28: Wathanna annahu alfiraqu
And he realized that it is the parting (from the world).
75/Al-Qiyamat-29: Wailtaffati alssaqu bialssaqi
And one leg will be joined with another leg (and agony is heaped on agony; affliction is combined with affliction).
75/Al-Qiyamat-30: Ila rabbika yawmaithin almasaqu
To your Lord on that Day (of Permission) shall be the driving.
75/Al-Qiyamat-31: Fala saddaqa wala salla
But he did not confirm (the Truth) nor did he pray.
75/Al-Qiyamat-32: Walakin kaththaba watawalla
But on the contrary he belied (the Truth) and turned away!
75/Al-Qiyamat-33: Thumma thahaba ila ahlihi yatamatta
Then he went to his family (folk) walking away in haughtiness.
75/Al-Qiyamat-34: Awla laka faawla
Well have you deserved (this torment) and then well have you deserved (it)!
75/Al-Qiyamat-35: Thumma awla laka faawla
Again well have you deserved (this torment) so, well have you deserved [it; woe to you! Nearer to you (is destruction)]!
75/Al-Qiyamat-36: Ayahsabu alinsanu an yutraka sudan
Does man reckon (think) that he is to be left uncontrolled (free, without purpose, responsibility)?
75/Al-Qiyamat-37: Alam yaku nutfatan min manayyin yumna
Was he not a Nutfah (a drop of sperm) of semen emitted (ejaculated)?
75/Al-Qiyamat-38: Thumma kana AAalaqatan fakhalaqa fasawwa
Then it became ‘Alaqa (an adherence, that which is clung to the wall of the uterus), so He created (him) and fashioned (him) in due proportion.
75/Al-Qiyamat-39: FajaAAala minhu alzzawjayni alththakara waalontha
And made of him two sexes (a pair), the male and the female.
75/Al-Qiyamat-40: Alaysa thalika biqadirin AAala an yuhyiya almawta
Is not He (who does all this) Able to give life to the dead?
