83/Al-Mutaffifin-1: Waylun lilmutaffifeena
Woe to the defrauders (those who give less in measure and weight).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-2: Allatheena itha iktaloo AAala alnnasi yastawfoona
Those who, when they have to receive (buy) by measure from men, take it fully, [Those who, when they have to receive by measure they behave loyally to the men (they measure exactly being honest to them)].
83/Al-Mutaffifin-3: Waitha kaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroona
But when they measure out to others or weight out for them, they are deficient (they give less than due).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-4: Ala yathunnu olaika annahum mabAAoothoona
Do they not think that they shall be raised again (resurrected)?
83/Al-Mutaffifin-5: Liyawmin AAatheemin
For a great Day.
83/Al-Mutaffifin-6: Yawma yaqoomu alnnasu lirabbi alAAalameena
The Day on which (all) mankind will stand for (before) the Lord of the Worlds.
83/Al-Mutaffifin-7: Kalla inna kitaba alfujjari lafee sijjeenin
Nay! Most surely a Book (writing of the deeds, life films) of the wicked (Al- Fujjâr, of the disbelievers who follow the wickedness of the satan) is indeed in Sijjîn (in the dark cells of Destiny found in the seven floors under the Ground Floor).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-8: Wama adraka ma sijjeenun
And what will make you know what the Sijjîn is?
83/Al-Mutaffifin-9: Kitabun marqoomun
It is a Digital (Numeral) Book [it is a book, a record of men’s deeds into which the negative and positive points are written as degrees; men’s life films).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-10: Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe on that Day to the rejecters (the beliers, deniers).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-11: Allatheena yukaththiboona biyawmi alddeeni
Those who belie (deny) the Day of Recompense (of the Religion).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-12: Wama yukaththibu bihi illa kullu muAAtadin atheemin
And none can deny (belie, give the lie to) it except every exceeder of limits, sinful one;
83/Al-Mutaffifin-13: Itha tutla AAalayhi ayatuna qala asateeru alawwaleena
When Our Verses (Signs) are recited (read and explained) to him, he says: Tales of the ancients.
83/Al-Mutaffifin-14: Kalla bal rana AAala quloobihim ma kanoo yaksiboona
Nay! Rather, what they used to earn has become rust (Rân, hardness of the heart, the increase of sins) upon their hearts.
83/Al-Mutaffifin-15: Kalla innahum AAan rabbihim yawmaithin lamahjooboona
Nay! Most surely they shall on that Day be veiled from their Lord (they will not be able to see Him).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-16: Thumma innahum lasaloo aljaheemi
Then most surely they shall be flung into the burning flame of Hell. (Then most surely they will prop themselves against the blazing Fire).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-17: Thumma yuqalu hatha allathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona
Then it shall be said: This is what you used to deny (belie).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-18: Kalla inna kitaba alabrari lafee AAilliyyeena
Nay! Most surely a Book (the Records, Writings of deeds, men’s life films) of the Abrâr (those who wish to reach Allah before dying, who are on the Guidance, are worthy of Paradise) is in ‘Illiyyûn. [In the Cells of Destiny found in the first World of the seventh heavenly Floor (Layer) above the Ground Floor].
83/Al-Mutaffifin-19: Wama adraka ma AAilliyyoona
And what will make you know what ‘Illiyyûn is?
83/Al-Mutaffifin-20: Kitabun marqoomun
It is a Digital (Numeral) Book (into which the negative and positive degrees that have been earned are written down, men’s life films).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-21: Yashhaduhu almuqarraboona
Those who are drawn near (to Allah) shall witness it.
83/Al-Mutaffifin-22: Inna alabrara lafee naAAeemin
Most surely Al-Abrâr (the righteous, those who are worthy of Paradise) shall be in blessings (“Naîm”, Paradise).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-23: AAala alaraiki yanthuroona
Reclining) upon soft couches (thrones), they shall look around (them).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-24: TaAArifu fee wujoohihim nadrata alnnaAAeemi
You will recognize in their faces the brightness of delight (blessings, joyfulness).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-25: Yusqawna min raheeqin makhtoomin
They are made to quaff (drink) of a pure drink that is sealed (to others).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-26: Khitamuhu miskun wafee thalika falyatanafasi almutanafisoona
The sealing of it is (with) musk; and for that let the aspirers aspire, (and for that let the competitors compete with each other in exquisiteness).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-27: Wamizajuhu min tasneemin
And the admixture of it is (a water) of Tasnîm.
83/Al-Mutaffifin-28: AAaynan yashrabu biha almuqarraboona
(It is) a spring (fountain) from which those drawn near (to Allah) will drink.
83/Al-Mutaffifin-29: Inna allatheena ajramoo kanoo mina allatheena amanoo yadhakoona
Surely (during the worldly life) those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed (who were âmenû, who wished to reach Allah before dying).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-30: Waitha marroo bihim yataghamazoona
And when they passed by them, they winked at one another (in mockery).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-31: Waitha inqalaboo ila ahlihimu inqalaboo fakiheena
And when they returned to their own people (followers), they returned exulting.
83/Al-Mutaffifin-32: Waitha raawhum qaloo inna haolai ladalloona
And when they saw them, they said: Most surely these are indeed in Misguidance (Error).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-33: Wama orsiloo AAalayhim hafitheena
And they were not sent to be keepers (watchers) over them (the believers).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-34: Faalyawma allatheena amanoo mina alkuffari yadhakoona
So this Day (of Resurrection) those who believe will laugh at the disbelievers.
83/Al-Mutaffifin-35: AAala alaraiki yanthuroona
(Reclining) on soft couches (thrones), they will look around (them).
83/Al-Mutaffifin-36: Hal thuwwiba alkuffaru ma kanoo yafAAaloona
Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do?
