77/Al-Mursalat-1: Waalmursalati AAurfan
By those sent forth in swift succession (with divine knowledge)
77/Al-Mursalat-2: FaalAAasifati AAasfan
Then, by those kept on blowing violently
77/Al-Mursalat-3: Waalnnashirati nashran
And by those that scatter with a wide spreading.
77/Al-Mursalat-4: Faalfariqati farqan
Then, by those that kept on separating (distinguishing)with a separation)
77/Al-Mursalat-5: Faalmulqiyati thikran
Then by those that bring down the Reminder
77/Al-Mursalat-6: AAuthran aw nuthran
To excuse (the holders of a right) and to warn (others)
77/Al-Mursalat-7: Innama tooAAadoona lawaqiAAun
Surely what you are promised will befall (take place)
77/Al-Mursalat-8: Faitha alnnujoomu tumisat
So when the stars are made to lose their light
77/Al-Mursalat-9: Waitha alssamao furijat
And when the heaven is rent(clef) asunder
77/Al-Mursalat-10: Waitha aljibalu nusifat
And when the mountains are carried away as dust
77/Al-Mursalat-11: Waitha alrrusulu oqqitat
And the time is made known to the Messengers (When the Messengers are gathered to their appointed time)
77/Al-Mursalat-12: Liayyi yawmin ojjilat
For what Day are these postponed?
77/Al-Mursalat-13: Liyawmi alfasli
For the Day of Sorting out (of Decision, Judgment)
77/Al-Mursalat-14: Wama adraka ma yawmu alfasli
And what will make you comprehend what the Day of Sorting out (Decision, Judgment) is?
77/Al-Mursalat-15: Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe on that Day (of Permission) to the beliers (deniers, rejecters)
77/Al-Mursalat-16: Alam nuhliki alawwaleena
Did We not destroy the ancients (the former generations)?
77/Al-Mursalat-17: Thumma nutbiAAuhumu alakhireena
Then did We follow them up with later ones.
77/Al-Mursalat-18: Kathalika nafAAalu bialmujrimeena
Even thus We deal with the criminals (the guilty)
77/Al-Mursalat-19: Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe on that Day (of Permission) to the beliers (deniers).
77/Al-Mursalat-20: Alam nakhluqkum min main maheenin
Did We not create you from a despised (unworthy, contemptible) fluid (water)?
77/Al-Mursalat-21: FajaAAalnahu fee qararin makeenin
Then We placed it (kept it) in a secure resting place (in a safe receptacle).
77/Al-Mursalat-22: Ila qadarin maAAloomin
Till a known (appointed) term,
77/Al-Mursalat-23: Faqadarna faniAAma alqadiroona
So We did measure (proportion, preordain). How (excellent) are We at measuring (things, at proportioning, at arranging, at preordaining things)!
77/Al-Mursalat-24: Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe on that Day (of Permission) to the beliers (deniers, rejecters)!
77/Al-Mursalat-25: Alam najAAali alarda kifatan
Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself (a receptacle, a place of gathering together)?
77/Al-Mursalat-26: Ahyaan waamwatan
Both (for) the living and the dead,
77/Al-Mursalat-27: WajaAAalna feeha rawasiya shamikhatin waasqaynakum maan furatan
and made therein firm, rooted, lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water?
77/Al-Mursalat-28: Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe on that Day (of Permission) to the beliers (deniers).
77/Al-Mursalat-29: Intaliqoo ila ma kuntum bihi tukaththiboona
Depart to that which you used to belie (deny).
77/Al-Mursalat-30: Intaliqoo ila thillin thee thalathi shuAAabin
Depart into shadow having three branches,
77/Al-Mursalat-31: La thaleelin wala yughnee mina allahabi
neither shady, nor of any use against the fierce flame (of the Fire).
77/Al-Mursalat-32: Innaha tarmee bishararin kaalqasri
Surely it throws up sparks like palaces (castles; a huge log of wood).
77/Al-Mursalat-33: Kaannahu jimalatun sufrun
As if they were yellow male camels (bundles of ropes).
77/Al-Mursalat-34: Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe on that Day (of Permission) to the beliers (rejecters).
77/Al-Mursalat-35: Hatha yawmu la yantiqoona
This is the Day on which they (the beliers) will not be able to speak.
77/Al-Mursalat-36: Wala yuthanu lahum fayaAAtathiroona
And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses.
77/Al-Mursalat-37: Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe on that Day (of Permission) to the beliers (deniers).
77/Al-Mursalat-38: Hatha yawmu alfasli jamaAAnakum waalawwaleena
This is the Day of Sorting Out (Decision, Judgment): We have gathered you and those of old together.
77/Al-Mursalat-39: Fain kana lakum kaydun fakeedooni
So if you have a plot, use it against Me.
77/Al-Mursalat-40: Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe on that Day (of Permission) to the beliers (deniers).
77/Al-Mursalat-41: Inna almuttaqeena fee thilalin waAAuyoonin
Surely the owners of piety (the pious) shall be amid shades and springs (fountains).
77/Al-Mursalat-42: Wafawakiha mimma yashtahoona
And fruits such as they desire
77/Al-Mursalat-43: Kuloo waishraboo haneean bima kuntum taAAmaloona
Eat and drink comfortably (pleasantly) for that which you used to do.
77/Al-Mursalat-44: Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena
Surely thus do We reward the good-doers (Al- Muhsinûn).
77/Al-Mursalat-45: Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe on that Day (of Permission) to the beliers (rejecters).
77/Al-Mursalat-46: Kuloo watamattaAAoo qaleelan innakum mujrimoona
Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little; surely you are criminals (guilty).
77/Al-Mursalat-47: Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe on that Day (of Permission) to the beliers (deniers).
77/Al-Mursalat-48: Waitha qeela lahumu irkaAAoo la yarkaAAoona
And when it is said to them: Bow down, they do not bow down (in prayer).
77/Al-Mursalat-49: Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe on that Day (of Permission) to the beliers (rejecters).
77/Al-Mursalat-50: Fabiayyi hadeethin baAAdahu yuminoona
In what statement, then, after this, will they believe?
