92/Al-Lail-1: Waallayli itha yaghsha
By the night as it envelops (when it lets fall its darkness).
92/Al-Lail-2: Waalnnahari itha tajalla
And (by) the day as it becomes manifest (when it begins to brighten up)
92/Al-Lail-3: Wama khalaqa alththakara waalontha
And (by) Him who created the male and the female.
92/Al-Lail-4: Inna saAAyakum lashatta
Your effort (your striving) is most surely (directed to) various (ends).
92/Al-Lail-5: Faamma man aAAta waittaqa
Then as for him who gave away and became the owner of piety.
92/Al-Lail-6: Wasaddaqa bialhusna
And confirmed the Best [that the Person (Zât, Esence) of Allah shall be seen]
92/Al-Lail-7: Fasanuyassiruhu lilyusra
We will facilitate for him the easy end [We will provide him with the easiness (in order that He may see the Person (Zât, Esence) of Allah easily]
92/Al-Lail-8: Waamma man bakhila waistaghna
And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself self-sufficient (free from need of Allah).
92/Al-Lail-9: Wakaththaba bialhusna
And belies Al Husnâ (the Best; seing the Person, Essence, of Allah).
92/Al-Lail-10: Fasanuyassiruhu lilAAusra
We will facilitate for him the difficult end (what is difficult, what leads to the evil end).
92/Al-Lail-11: Wama yughnee AAanhu maluhu itha taradda
And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes [when he goes down (in destruction)].
92/Al-Lail-12: Inna AAalayna lalhuda
And most surely, on Us is [to make(men) reach] the Guidance,
92/Al-Lail-13: Wainna lana lalakhirata waaloola
And most surely Ours is the Last (the Hereafter) and the First(the Former, this world).
92/Al-Lail-14: Faanthartukum naran talaththa
Therefore I warn you of a flaming Fire.
92/Al-Lail-15: La yaslaha illa alashqa
None shall enter it (burn in it, prop himself against it) but the most unfortuned (detached from the Truth).
92/Al-Lail-16: Allathee kaththaba watawalla
Who belies (denies) and turns away.
92/Al-Lail-17: Wasayujannabuha alatqa
And the most pious one shall be removed from it.
92/Al-Lail-18: Allathee yutee malahu yatazakka
Who gives away his wealth, purifies himself
92/Al-Lail-19: Wama liahadin AAindahu min niAAmatin tujza
And (the fact that the owner of piety gives away his wealth is) not in return for any blessing to be rewarded with Him (Allah).
92/Al-Lail-20: Illa ibtighaa wajhi rabbihi alaAAla
Except that he seeks the Countenance (the Face, the Person, “Zât,,) of his Lord, the Most High.
92/Al-Lail-21: Walasawfa yarda
And he shall soon be well-pleased.
