45/Al-Jathiya-1: Hameem
Hâ-Mîm. [These disjointed letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].
45/Al-Jathiya-2: Tanzeelu alkitabi mina Allahi alAAazeezi alhakeemi
The descent (the revelation) of the Book (this Qur’ân) is from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
45/Al-Jathiya-3: Inna fee alssamawati waalardi laayatin lilmumineena
Most surely in the heavens and the earth there are Signs for the believers.
45/Al-Jathiya-4: Wafee khalqikum wama yabuththu min dabbatin ayatun liqawmin yooqinoona
And in your (own) creation and in what He spreads abroad of moving (living) creatures there are Signs for a people who have Faith with certainty (for a people who possess certainty).
45/Al-Jathiya-5: Waikhtilafi allayli waalnnahari wama anzala Allahu mina alssamai min rizqin faahya bihi alarda baAAda mawtiha watasreefi alrriyahi ayatun liqawmin yaAAqiloona
And (in) the alternation (the succession) of the night and the day, and (in) what Allah sends down of sustenance from the sky, then gives life thereby to the earth after its death, and (in) the turning about (the circulation) of the winds, there are Signs for a people who use their intelligence (understand).
45/Al-Jathiya-6: Tilka ayatu Allahi natlooha AAalayka bialhaqqi fabiayyi hadeethin baAAda Allahi waayatihi yuminoona
These are the Âyât (Verses, Signs, Evidences…) of Allah which We recite (read and explain) to you with the truth; then in which speech would they believe after Allah and His Âyât (Verses, Signs…)?
45/Al-Jathiya-7: Waylun likulli affakin atheemin
Woe to every sinful liar,
45/Al-Jathiya-8: YasmaAAu ayati Allahi tutla AAalayhi thumma yusirru mustakbiran kaan lam yasmaAAha fabashshirhu biAAathabin aleemin
Who hears the Verses (Signs) of Allah recited (read and explained) to him, then persists proudly as if he had not heard them; so give him tidings of a painful torment (punishment).
45/Al-Jathiya-9: Waitha AAalima min ayatina shayan ittakhathaha huzuwan olaika lahum AAathabun muheenun
And when he comes to know of any of Our Verses (Signs), he takes it for a jest; for these, there is an abasing torment.
45/Al-Jathiya-10: Min waraihim jahannamu wala yughnee AAanhum ma kasaboo shayan wala ma ittakhathoo min dooni Allahi awliyaa walahum AAathabun AAatheemun
Behind (Beyond) them there is Hell. And that which they have earned will be of no profit to them, nor those whom they have taken as protecting friends (Auliyâ’) besides Allah. And for them there is a great torment.
45/Al-Jathiya-11: Hatha hudan waallatheena kafaroo biayati rabbihim lahum AAathabun min rijzin aleemin
This is a Guidance; and (as for) those who disbelieve in the Verses (Signs) of their Lord, for them there is a painful torment of uncleanness (Rijz) (torment upon painful torment).
45/Al-Jathiya-12: Allahu allathee sakhkhara lakumu albahra litajriya alfulku feehi biamrihi walitabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona
Allah, it is He Who made subservient to you the sea that the ships may run (sail) therein by His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty (Grace), and that you may give thanks.
45/Al-Jathiya-13: Wasakhkhara lakum ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi jameeAAan minhu inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroona
And He has made subservient to you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, all, from Himself (as a Grace); most surely there are Signs in this for a people who reflect (think deeply).
45/Al-Jathiya-14: Qul lillatheena amanoo yaghfiroo lillatheena la yarjoona ayyama Allahi liyajziya qawman bima kanoo yaksiboona
Say to those who believe (who are âmenû): Let them forgive those who do not hope for the Days of Allah, that He may recompense (punish) a people for what they have earned.
45/Al-Jathiya-15: Man AAamila salihan falinafsihi waman asaa faAAalayha thumma ila rabbikum turjaAAoona
Whoever does an improving deed (the soul’s purification), it is for his own soul, and whoever does an evil deed, it is against himself; then to your Lord you shall be made to return.
45/Al-Jathiya-16: Walaqad atayna banee israeela alkitaba waalhukma waalnnubuwwata warazaqnahum mina alttayyibati wafaddalnahum AAala alAAalameena
And certainly We gave the Children of Israel the Book and Judgement (its laws, authority, rule…) and the Prophethood and We gave them of the good (and clean, lawful) things, and We made them excel the Worlds (the nations, peoples…).
45/Al-Jathiya-17: Waataynahum bayyinatin mina alamri fama ikhtalafoo illa min baAAdi ma jaahumu alAAilmu baghyan baynahum inna rabbaka yaqdee baynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona
And We gave them clear arguments from the Command (of Allah), but they did not differ until after the knowledge had come to them out of rivalry (aggressiveness) among themselves; surely your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection about that in which they used to differ.
45/Al-Jathiya-18: Thumma jaAAalnaka AAala shareeAAatin mina alamri faittabiAAha wala tattabiAA ahwaa allatheena la yaAAlamoona
Then We have made (set) you upon a Law (Sharia, a plain way) of the Commandment (of Allah), therefore depend on (follow) it, and do not depend on (follow) the low desires of those who do not know.
45/Al-Jathiya-19: Innahum lan yughnoo AAanka mina Allahi shayan wainna alththalimeena baAAduhum awliyao baAAdin waAllahu waliyyu almuttaqeena
They cannot avail you at all against Allah; and surely the wrong-doers are friends of each other, and Allah is the Protecting Friend (Walî) of the owners of piety (the pious=Al-Muttaqîn).
45/Al-Jathiya-20: Hatha basairu lilnnasi wahudan warahmatun liqawmin yooqinoona
This (Qur’ân) is lights of insight for men, and a Guidance (what makes men reach Allah) and a Mercy for a people who have faith with certainty (who are certain).
45/Al-Jathiya-21: Am hasiba allatheena ijtarahoo alssayyiati an najAAalahum kaallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati sawaan mahyahum wamamatuhum saa ma yahkumoona
Or do those who commit (earn) evil deeds reckon (think) that We will make them like those who believe (who wish to reach Allah while they are alive) and do improving deeds (the soul’s purification) that their life and their death shall be equal? Evil it is what they judge.
45/Al-Jathiya-22: Wakhalaqa Allahu alssamawati waalarda bialhaqqi walitujza kullu nafsin bima kasabat wahum la yuthlamoona
And Allah created the heavens and the earth with the truth and that every soul may be rewarded for what it has earned and they shall not be wronged.
45/Al-Jathiya-23: Afaraayta mani ittakhatha ilahahu hawahu waadallahu Allahu AAala AAilmin wakhatama AAala samAAihi waqalbihi wajaAAala AAala basarihi ghishawatan faman yahdeehi min baAAdi Allahi afala tathakkaroona
Have you then seen him who takes his low desire for his god? And Allah has left him in Misguidance upon a knowledge (his useless knowledge) and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put a covering on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allah? Will you not then deliberate (remember)?
45/Al-Jathiya-24: Waqaloo ma hiya illa hayatuna alddunya namootu wanahya wama yuhlikuna illa alddahru wama lahum bithalika min AAilmin in hum illa yathunnoona
And they say: There is nothing but our life in this world; we die and we live and nothing destroys us except the Time (Ad-Dahr), and they have no knowledge of that; they only conjecture (guess).
45/Al-Jathiya-25: Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin ma kana hujjatahum illa an qaloo itoo biabaina in kuntum sadiqeena
And when Our clear Verses (Signs, proofs…) are recited (read and explained) to them, their argument is no other than that they say: Bring our fathers (back) if you are truthful.
45/Al-Jathiya-26: Quli Allahu yuhyeekum thumma yumeetukum thumma yajmaAAukum ila yawmi alqiyamati la rayba feehi walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona
And when Our clear Verses (Signs, proofs…) are recited (read and explained) to them, their argument is no other than that they say: Bring our fathers (back) if you are truthful.there is no doubt. But most of mankind do not know.
45/Al-Jathiya-27: Walillahi mulku alssamawati waalardi wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu yawmaithin yakhsaru almubtiloona
And Allah’s is the Sovereignty (the Kingdom) of the heavens and the earth; and on the Day when the Hour shall come to pass, on that Day (of Permission) the followers of falsehood will be in Loss (Husrân, in Hell).
45/Al-Jathiya-28: Watara kulla ommatin jathiyatan kullu ommatin tudAAa ila kitabiha alyawma tujzawna ma kuntum taAAmaloona
And you shall see every nation (community) kneeling down; every nation shall be called to its book; today you shall be recompensed for what you used to do.
45/Al-Jathiya-29: Hatha kitabuna yantiqu AAalaykum bialhaqqi inna kunna nastansikhu ma kuntum taAAmaloona
This is Our book that speaks about you with the truth; surely We have caused (all) that you did to be recorded (in your life films by Our angels).
45/Al-Jathiya-30: Faamma allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati fayudkhiluhum rabbuhum fee rahmatihi thalika huwa alfawzu almubeenu
Then as to those who believed and did improving deeds (who did the soul’s purification by wishing to reach Allah before dying), their Lord will make them enter into His Mercy; that is the evident success (the manifest Salvation).
45/Al-Jathiya-31: Waamma allatheena kafaroo afalam takun ayatee tutla AAalaykum faistakbartum wakuntum qawman mujrimeena
As to those who disbelieved (it is said to them): What! Were not My Verses (Signs) recited (read and explained) to you? But you were proud and you were a criminal people.
45/Al-Jathiya-32: Waitha qeela inna waAAda Allahi haqqun waalssaAAatu la rayba feeha qultum ma nadree ma alssaAAatu in nathunnu illa thannan wama nahnu bimustayqineena
As to those who disbelieved (it is said to them): What! Were not My Verses (Signs) recited (read and explained) to you? But you were proud and you were a criminal people.
45/Al-Jathiya-33: Wabada lahum sayyiatu ma AAamiloo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona
And the evil of what they did will appear (become manifest) to them and that which they used to mock at shall encompass them.
45/Al-Jathiya-34: Waqeela alyawma nansakum kama naseetum liqaa yawmikum hatha wamawakumu alnnaru wama lakum min nasireena
And it shall be said (it was said to them): This day We forget you, even as you forget the meeting of this Day of yours and your abode is the Fire and there are not for you any helpers:
45/Al-Jathiya-35: Thalikum biannakumu ittakhathtum ayati Allahi huzuwan wagharratkumu alhayatu alddunya faalyawma la yukhrajoona minha wala hum yustaAAtaboona
That is because you took the Verses (Signs) of Allah for a jest (in mockery) and the life of the world deceived you. So on that Day they shall not be brought forth from it (Hell) nor shall any excuse be asked (accepted) from them.
45/Al-Jathiya-36: Falillahi alhamdu rabbi alssamawati warabbi alardi rabbi alAAalameena
Therefore to Allah is due (all) praise, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of the Worlds.
45/Al-Jathiya-37: Walahu alkibriyao fee alssamawati waalardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu
And to Him belongs Greatness (Majesty) in the heavens and the earth, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
