17/Al-Israa-1: Subhana allathee asra biAAabdihi laylan mina almasjidi alharami ila almasjidi alaqsa allathee barakna hawlahu linuriyahu min ayatina innahu huwa alssameeAAu albaseeru
Glory be to Him who made His servant to go on a night from the Sacred Mosque (Al-Masjid–al–Harâm at Makkah) to the Farthest Mosque (Al–Masjid-al–Aqsâ in Jerusalem) Whose surroundings We have blessed, that We might show him (some) of Our Signs (proofs…); surely He is the All-Hearer, the All–Seer.
17/Al-Israa-2: Waatayna moosa alkitaba wajaAAalnahu hudan libanee israeela alla tattakhithoo min doonee wakeelan
And We gave Moses the Book (the Torah) and made it a Guidance (made him a Guide) to the Children of Israel (saying): Do not take a guardian (a trustee, a deputy) besides Me.
17/Al-Israa-3: Thurriyyata man hamalna maAAa noohin innahu kana AAabdan shakooran
The offspring of those whom We bore (carried) along with Noah! Surely he was a grateful servant.
17/Al-Israa-4: Waqadayna ila banee israeela fee alkitabi latufsidunna fee alardi marratayni walataAAlunna AAuluwwan kabeeran
And We decreed for the Children of Israel in the Book: Most certainly you will make mischief in the earth twice, and most certainly you will behave insolently with great insolence (you will be victorious with great superiority).
17/Al-Israa-5: Faitha jaa waAAdu oolahuma baAAathna AAalaykum AAibadan lana olee basin shadeedin fajasoo khilala alddiyari wakana waAAdan mafAAoolan
So when the promise for the first of the two came, We sent over you Our servants, of mighty prowess, so they entered the very innermost parts of your homes and it is a promise to be accomplished.
17/Al-Israa-6: Thumma radadna lakumu alkarrata AAalayhim waamdadnakum biamwalin wabaneena wajaAAalnakum akthara nafeeran
Then We gave you back the turn to prevail against them and aided you with wealth and children and made you more numerous in man–power.
17/Al-Israa-7: In ahsantum ahsantum lianfusikum wain asatum falaha faitha jaa waAAdu alakhirati liyasoooo wujoohakum waliyadkhuloo almasjida kama dakhaloohu awwala marratin waliyutabbiroo ma AAalaw tatbeeran
If you behave in the best way, it is the best for your own souls, and if you behave badly, it belongs to them (your souls). So when the second (promise, that of your second mischief-making) came, (we raised another people ) that they may darken (disfigure) your faces and that they may enter the Mosque as they entered it the first time, and that they might destroy whatever they gained ascendancy over with utter destruction.
17/Al-Israa-8: AAasa rabbukum an yarhamakum wain AAudtum AAudna wajaAAalna jahannama lilkafireena haseeran
It may be that your Lord will have mercy on you; and if you again return (to mischief-making) We too will return (to punishment), and We have made Hell a prison (surrounding) for the disbelievers.
17/Al-Israa-9: Inna hatha alqurana yahdee lillatee hiya aqwamu wayubashshiru almumineena allatheena yaAAmaloona alssalihati anna lahum ajran kabeeran

17/Al-Israa-10: Waanna allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati aAAtadna lahum AAathaban aleeman

And We have made the night and the day two Signs, then We have made the Sign of the night to pass away (invisible) and We have made the Sign of the day manifest (visible), so that you may seek Bounty (Grace ,the Light of Virtue)from your Lord ,and that you might know the numbering of years and the reckoning; And We have explained everything in detail (with distinctness).

17/Al-Israa-14: Iqra kitabaka kafa binafsika alyawma AAalayka haseeban

17/Al-Israa-15: Mani ihtada fainnama yahtadee linafsihi waman dalla fainnama yadillu AAalayha wala taziru waziratun wizra okhra wama kunna muAAaththibeena hatta nabAAatha rasoolan
Whoever attains to Guidance, for his own soul (as he has purified his soul ) does he attain to Guidance; and whoever is in Misguidance ,he remains in Misguidance, as one whose responsibility is upon himself. The bearer of a burden (sin) cannot bear the burden (sin) of another; and We never torment (punish) until We raise (send) a Messenger.
17/Al-Israa-16: Waitha aradna an nuhlika qaryatan amarna mutrafeeha fafasaqoo feeha fahaqqa AAalayha alqawlu fadammarnaha tadmeeran
And when We wish to destroy a town (a country) We send Our Commandment to the people of it (to the notables, the rich who live in comfort, who lead a life of luxury)and yet they transgress therein (they go out of the Way of Allah); thus the Word (of Allah)is justified against it (them ), so We destroy it with utter destruction.
17/Al-Israa-17: Wakam ahlakna mina alqurooni min baAAdi noohin wakafa birabbika bithunoobi AAibadihi khabeeran baseeran
And how many of the generations did We destroy after Noah! And your Lord is sufficient as an All-Knower and All-Beholder of the sins of His servants.

17/Al-Israa-19: Waman arada alakhirata wasaAAa laha saAAyaha wahuwa muminun faolaika kana saAAyuhum mashkooran

And your Lord has decreed that you shall not serve (any) but Him, and that you show kindness to your parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, do not say to them (so much as) “Ugh” (a word of disrespect) nor rebuke them, and speak to them a generous word.

17/Al-Israa-25: Rabbukum aAAlamu bima fee nufoosikum in takoonoo saliheena fainnahu kana lilawwabeena ghafooran

17/Al-Israa-26: Waati tha alqurba haqqahu waalmiskeena waibna alssabeeli wala tubaththir tabtheeran

17/Al-Israa-30: Inna rabbaka yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru innahu kana biAAibadihi khabeeran baseeran

17/Al-Israa-37: Wala tamshi fee alardi marahan innaka lan takhriqa alarda walan tablugha aljibala toolan

17/Al-Israa-41: Walaqad sarrafna fee hatha alqurani liyaththakkaroo wama yazeeduhum illa nufooran
We have made plain (the truths) in this Qur’ân that they may deliberate(comprehend), but it (these explanations) increases them in nothing but aversion.

17/Al-Israa-45: Waitha qarata alqurana jaAAalna baynaka wabayna allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati hijaban mastooran
And when you recite (read) the Qur’ân, we place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter (in reaching Allah before dying and the Day of Resurrection) a hidden barrier (an invisible veil) [We put a veil on their eyes that prevent them from seeing you as a prophet].
17/Al-Israa-46: WajaAAalna AAala quloobihim akinnatan an yafqahoohu wafee athanihim waqran waitha thakarta rabbaka fee alqurani wahdahu wallaw AAala adbarihim nufooran
And We have placed coverings on their hearts lest they should understand it (the Qur’ân) and a heaviness in their ears; and when you mention your Lord Alone in the Qur’ân, they turn their backs in aversion (fleeing in extreme dislike).
17/Al-Israa-47: Nahnu aAAlamu bima yastamiAAoona bihi ith yastamiAAoona ilayka waith hum najwa ith yaqoolu alththalimoona in tattabiAAoona illa rajulan mashooran

17/Al-Israa-48: Onthur kayfa daraboo laka alamthala fadalloo fala yastateeAAoona sabeelan

Or some other creature of those which are too hard (to receive life) in your breasts (minds)! But they will say: Who shall return us (to life)? Say: Who created you at first; still they will shake their heads at you and say: When will that be? Say: Maybe it is near.

17/Al-Israa-56: Quli odAAu allatheena zaAAamtum min doonihi fala yamlikoona kashfa alddurri AAankum wala tahweelan

And what hinders Us from sending the Signs (miracles) is only this, that the ancients denied them (for example) We gave to Thamûd the she-camel as a manifest Sign (miracle) but they did her wrong, and We do not send the Signs but to make (men) fear.
17/Al-Israa-60: Waith qulna laka inna rabbaka ahata bialnnasi wama jaAAalna alrruya allatee araynaka illa fitnatan lilnnasi waalshshajarata almalAAoonata fee alqurani wanukhawwifuhum fama yazeeduhum illa tughyanan kabeeran
And (remember) We said to you; Surely your Lord encompasses men (with His Mercy and Knowledge); and We did not make the Vision which We showed you (with the heart’s eye) but a trial for men and the cursed tree (the tree of Rosebay) in the Qur’ân as well; and We cause them to fear, but it only adds to their great inordinacy.
17/Al-Israa-61: Waith qulna lilmalaikati osjudoo liadama fasajadoo illa ibleesa qala aasjudu liman khalaqta teenan

And beguile (befool, allure) whomsoever of them you can with your (seductive) voice, make assaults on them(steer them) with your cavalry and your infantry, and share with them in wealth and children and make promises to them; and Satan makes promises for them only to deceive.
17/Al-Israa-65: Inna AAibadee laysa laka AAalayhim sultanun wakafa birabbika wakeelan

17/Al-Israa-68: Afaamintum an yakhsifa bikum janiba albarri aw yursila AAalaykum hasiban thumma la tajidoo lakum wakeelan

17/Al-Israa-69: Am amintum an yuAAeedakum feehi taratan okhra fayursila AAalaykum qasifan mina alrreehi fayughriqakum bima kafartum thumma la tajidoo lakum AAalayna bihi tabeeAAan
Or, do you feel secure that He will (not) take you back into it an other time, then send on you a fierce gale (a hurricane of wind) and thus drown you because of your disbelief (ungratefulness)? Then you shall not find any aider against Us therein.
17/Al-Israa-70: Walaqad karramna banee adama wahamalnahum fee albarri waalbahri warazaqnahum mina alttayyibati wafaddalnahum AAala katheerin mimman khalaqna tafdeelan

17/Al-Israa-74: Walawla an thabbatnaka laqad kidta tarkanu ilayhim shayan qaleelan
And if We had not made you stand firm, you would nearly have inclined to them a little.
17/Al-Israa-75: Ithan laathaqnaka diAAfa alhayati wadiAAfa almamati thumma la tajidu laka AAalayna naseeran
In that case, We would certainly have made you to taste a double in this life and a double after death (…to taste the pains, griefs, distresses of the life and the death many times more) , then you would not have found any helper against Us.
17/Al-Israa-76: Wain kadoo layastafizzoonaka mina alardi liyukhrijooka minha waithan la yalbathoona khilafaka illa qaleelan
