76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-1: Hal ata AAala alinsani heenun mina alddahri lam yakun shayan mathkooran
Has there not come over man a short period of time out of the very long time when he was not a thing worth mentioning (until he was a being worth mentioning)? [(a period of time passed over him from his being created firstly as a single cell until his becoming a being worth mentioning).
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-2: Inna khalaqna alinsana min nutfatin amshajin nabtaleehi fajaAAalnahu sameeAAan baseeran
surely We have created man from a Nutfah (drop of sperm) mixed (with ovum) [mixed up in the divers components], We will try him, so We have made him hearer, seer.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-3: Inna hadaynahu alssabeela imma shakiran waimma kafooran
Surely We have made him reach the Way (leading to Allah), whether he be grateful (he wishes to reach Allah before dying) or ungrateful (disbeliever) [he does not wish to reach Allah before dying].
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-4: Inna aAAtadna lilkafireena salasila waaghlalan wasaAAeeran
Surely We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blazing Fire.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-5: Inna alabrara yashraboona min kasin kana mizajuha kafooran
Surely the Abrâr (the righteous, those worthy of Paradise) shall drink of a cup the admixture of which is camphor (Kâfûr, water from a spring in Paradise).
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-6: AAaynan yashrabu biha AAibadu Allahi yufajjiroonaha tafjeeran
A spring from which the servants of Allah shall drink; causing it to gush forth a (goodly) gushing forth.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-7: Yoofoona bialnnathri wayakhafoona yawman kana sharruhu mustateeran
They (are those who) fulfill the vow and fear a Day whose evil will be wide-spreading.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-8: WayutAAimona alttaAAama AAala hubbihi miskeenan wayateeman waaseeran
And they feed, in spite of their love for it (or for the love of Him) the indigent (the needy), the orphan, and the captive.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-9: Innama nutAAimukum liwajhi Allahi la nureedu minkum jazaan wala shukooran
We only feed you for the Face (the Person, Zât) of Allah; we wish for no reward nor thanks from you.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-10: Inna nakhafu min rabbina yawman AAaboosan qamtareeran
Surely we fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-11: Fawaqahumu Allahu sharra thalika alyawmi walaqqahum nadratan wasurooran
Therefore Allah will guard them from the evil of that Day and cause them to meet with brightness and joy;
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-12: Wajazahum bima sabaroo jannatan wahareeran
and He rewarded them, because they were patient, with garden and infinite freedom (silk).
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-13: Muttakieena feeha AAala alaraiki la yarawna feeha shamsan wala zamhareeran
Reclining in it on raised couches (thrones), they will see there neither (the excessive heat of) the sun nor the biting (intense) cold.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-14: Wadaniyatan AAalayhim thilaluha wathullilat qutoofuha tathleelan
And the shade (of its trees) is close upon them and the bunches of fruit of it will hang low within their reach.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-15: Wayutafu AAalayhim bianiyatin min fiddatin waakwabin kanat qawareera
And there shall be made to go round about them vessels of silver and goblets of crystal.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-16: Qawareera min fiddatin qaddarooha taqdeeran
Crystal-clear, made of silver; they have determined the measure thereof (according to their wishes).
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-17: Wayusqawna feeha kasan kana mizajuha zanjabeelan
and they shall be made to drink therein a cup the admixture of which shall be ginger.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-18: AAaynan feeha tusamma salsabeelan
(There is) a spring (a fountain) therein which is named Salsabil.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-19: Wayatoofu AAalayhim wildanun mukhalladoona itha raaytahum hasibtahum luluan manthooran
And round about them shall go youths never altering in age; when you see them, you will think them to be scattered pearls.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-20: Waitha raayta thamma raayta naAAeeman wamulkan kabeeran
And when you see there, you shall see blessings and a great kingdom.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-21: AAaliyahum thiyabu sundusin khudrun waistabraqun wahulloo asawira min fiddatin wasaqahum rabbuhum sharaban tahooran
Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and thick silk interwoven with gold (gold embroidery) and they shall be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord shall make them drink a pure drink
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-22: Inna hatha kana lakum jazaan wakana saAAyukum mashkooran
Surely this has been a reward for you, and your striving shall be worthy of being thanked (be appreciated, accepted).
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-23: Inna nahnu nazzalna AAalayka alqurana tanzeelan
Surely, it is We who have sent down the Qur’ân to you by stages (verse by verse).
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-24: Faisbir lihukmi rabbika wala tutiAA minhum athiman aw kafooran
Therefore wait patiently for the Judgment (Decision) of your Lord, and do not obey from among them a sinner or an ungrateful one (a disbeliever).
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-25: Waothkuri isma rabbika bukratan waaseelan
And remember (repeat) the Name of your Lord every morning and evening.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-26: Wamina allayli faosjud lahu wasabbihhu laylan taweelan
And during part of the night, prostrate yourself to Him and glorify Him a long night through.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-27: Inna haolai yuhibboona alAAajilata wayatharoona waraahum yawman thaqeelan
Surely these love the fleeting (life of this world) and put behind them a heavy Day (they do not consider it important).
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-28: Nahnu khalaqnahum washadadna asrahum waitha shina baddalna amthalahum tabdeelan
It is We who created them and made firm their make, and when We will, We can replace them with others like them with a complete replacement.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-29: Inna hathihi tathkiratun faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi sabeelan
Surely this is a Reminder (an admonition), so whoever wills takes to his Lord a Way.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-30: Wama tashaoona illa an yashaa Allahu inna Allaha kana AAaleeman hakeeman
And you cannot will, unless Allah wills; surely Allah is Ever All- Knowing, All-Wise.
76/Al-Insan (Ad-Dahr)-31: Yudkhilu man yashao fee rahmatihi waalththalimeena aAAadda lahum AAathaban aleeman
He makes whom He wills to enter into His Mercy; and (as for) the wrong-doers, He has prepared for them a painful torment (penalty).
