Sura List » Al-Hashr

59/Al-Hashr-1: Sabbaha lillahi ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu
Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth glorifies Allah. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

59/Al-Hashr-2: Huwa allathee akhraja allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabi min diyarihim liawwali alhashri ma thanantum an yakhrujoo wathannoo annahum maniAAatuhum husoonuhum mina Allahi faatahumu Allahu min haythu lam yahtasiboo waqathafa fee quloobihimu alrruAAba yukhriboona buyootahum biaydeehim waaydee almumineena faiAAtabiroo ya olee alabsari
He it is Who caused those who disbelieved of the People of the Book (i.e. the Jews of the tribe of Banû An-Nadîr) to go forth from their homes at the first banishment (gathering); you did not think that they would go forth, while they were certain that their fortresses would defend them from (what would come from) Allah; but Allah came to them whence they did not expect, and cast terror into their hearts; they demolished their houses with their own hands and the hands of the believers; therefore take a lesson, O you the owners of insight!

59/Al-Hashr-3: Walawla an kataba Allahu AAalayhimu aljalaa laAAaththabahum fee alddunya walahum fee alakhirati AAathabu alnnari
And had it not been that Allah had written down (decreed) for them the exile, He would certainly have tormented (punished) them in this world, and for them in the Hereafter there is the torment of the Fire.

59/Al-Hashr-4: Thalika biannahum shaqqoo Allaha warasoolahu waman yushaqqi Allaha fainna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi
That is because they opposed (objected against) Allah and His Messenger, and whoever acts in opposition to Allah, then surely Allah is Severe in retributing (evil).

59/Al-Hashr-5: Ma qataAAtum min leenatin aw taraktumooha qaimatan AAala osooliha fabiithni Allahi waliyukhziya alfasiqeena
What you cut down of the palm-trees (of the enemy) or you left them standing upon their roots, it is by Allah’s Leave, and that He may abase the transgressors (Fâsiqûn).

59/Al-Hashr-6: Wama afaa Allahu AAala rasoolihi minhum fama awjaftum AAalayhi min khaylin wala rikabin walakinna Allaha yusallitu rusulahu AAala man yashao waAllahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
And that which Allah gave as booty without any battle (Fai’) to His Messenger from them (from their property), for this you made no expedition with either cavalry or camelry. But Allah gives authority to His Messengers against whom He wills, and Allah has Power over all things.

59/Al-Hashr-7: Ma afaa Allahu AAala rasoolihi min ahli alqura falillahi walilrrasooli walithee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeni waibni alssabeeli kay la yakoona doolatan bayna alaghniyai minkum wama atakumu alrrasoolu fakhuthoohu wama nahakum AAanhu faintahoo waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi
What Allah gave as booty without any battle (Fai’) to His Messenger from the people of the townships, it is for Allah and for the Messenger, and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, so that it may not be a thing taken by turns among the rich of you, and whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and from whatever he forbids (hinders) you, abstain (from it), and have piety towards Allah; surely Allah is Severe in retributing (evil).

59/Al-Hashr-8: Lilfuqarai almuhajireena allatheena okhrijoo min diyarihim waamwalihim yabtaghoona fadlan mina Allahi waridwanan wayansuroona Allaha warasoolahu olaika humu alssadiqoona
(And there is also a share in the booty obtained without any battle) for the poor emigrants, who were expelled from their homes and their property, seeking grace of Allah and (His) Good Pleasure, and assisting Allah and His Messenger; these it is that are the truthful.

59/Al-Hashr-9: Waallatheena tabawwaoo alddara waaleemana min qablihim yuhibboona man hajara ilayhim wala yajidoona fee sudoorihim hajatan mimma ootoo wayuthiroona AAala anfusihim walaw kana bihim khasasatun waman yooqa shuhha nafsihi faolaika humu almuflihoona
And those who made their abode in the City (in Al-Madîna) and in the Faith (and in the hearts of whom the Faith has settled) before them love those who have emigrated to them and do not find in their breasts a need of what they are given, and gives them preference over themselves though poverty become their lot, and whoever is preserved from the niggardliness of his soul, these it is that are the successful (that have attained the Salvation).

59/Al-Hashr-10: Waallatheena jaoo min baAAdihim yaqooloona rabbana ighfir lana waliikhwanina allatheena sabaqoona bialeemani wala tajAAal fee quloobina ghillan lillatheena amanoo rabbana innaka raoofun raheemun
And those who came after them say: Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in the Faith and do not place in our hearts any spite (rancor) towards those who believe (who are âmenû). Our Lord! You are indeed full of Kindness, Most merciful.

59/Al-Hashr-11: Alam tara ila allatheena nafaqoo yaqooloona liikhwanihimu allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabi lain okhrijtum lanakhrujanna maAAakum wala nuteeAAu feekum ahadan abadan wain qootiltum lanansurannakum waAllahu yashhadu innahum lakathiboona
Have you not seen those who have become hypocrites? They say to their friends among the People of the Book who disbelieve: If you are driven forth, we shall certainly go forth with you, and we will never obey any one against you; and if you are fought against, we will certainly help you; and Allah bears witness that they are most surely liars.

59/Al-Hashr-12: Lain okhrijoo la yakhrujoona maAAahum walain qootiloo la yansuroonahum walain nasaroohum layuwallunna aladbara thumma la yunsaroona
Certainly if these are driven forth, they will not go forth with them, and if they are fought against, they will not help them, they will certainly turn (their) backs, then they shall not be helped.

59/Al-Hashr-13: Laantum ashaddu rahbatan fee sudoorihim mina Allahi thalika biannahum qawmun la yafqahoona
You are certainly greater in being feared in their hearts than Allah (they fear you more than Allah); that is because they are a people who do not comprehend.

59/Al-Hashr-14: La yuqatiloonakum jameeAAan illa fee quran muhassanatin aw min warai judurin basuhum baynahum shadeedun tahsabuhum jameeAAan waquloobuhum shatta thalika biannahum qawmun la yaAAqiloona
They cannot fight against you even together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls; their fighting between them is severe; you may think them as one body, and their hearts are disunited (divided); that is because they are a people who do not use their intelligence.

59/Al-Hashr-15: Kamathali allatheena min qablihim qareeban thaqoo wabala amrihim walahum AAathabun aleemun
(Their state is) like those before them shortly; they tasted the evil result of their affair (conduct), and for them there is a painful torment.

59/Al-Hashr-16: Kamathali alshshaytani ith qala lilinsani okfur falamma kafara qala innee bareeon minka innee akhafu Allaha rabba alAAalameena
(The promises of the hypocrites to you is) like (the state of) Satan. He had said to man: Disbelieve, but when he disbelieves, he says: I am surely clear of you; surely I fear Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

59/Al-Hashr-17: Fakana AAaqibatahuma annahuma fee alnnari khalidayni feeha wathalika jazao alththalimeena
Therefore the end of both of them is that they are in the Fire to abide therein (forever) and that is the reward of the wrong-doers.

59/Al-Hashr-18: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ittaqoo Allaha waltanthur nafsun ma qaddamat lighadin waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha khabeerun bima taAAmaloona
O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah before dying)! Become the owners of piety towards Allah, and let every soul consider what it has sent forward for the morrow, and have piety towards Allah; surely Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

59/Al-Hashr-19: Wala takoonoo kaallatheena nasoo Allaha faansahum anfusahum olaika humu alfasiqoona
And be not like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget their own souls: these it is that are the transgressors (Fâsiqûn=those who are not in the Way of Allah or have gone out of it).

59/Al-Hashr-20: La yastawee ashabu alnnari waashabu aljannati ashabu aljannati humu alfaizoona
Not equal are the inmates of the Fire and the dwellers of the Garden (Paradise): the dwellers of the Garden are they that are the achievers (they who have attained the Salvation).

59/Al-Hashr-21: Law anzalna hatha alqurana AAala jabalin laraaytahu khashiAAan mutasaddiAAan min khashyati Allahi watilka alamthalu nadribuha lilnnasi laAAallahum yatafakkaroona
Had We sent down this Qur’ân on a mountain you would have seen it humbled, rent asunder because of the awe of Allah. Such are the parables which We put forward to mankind that they may reflect.

59/Al-Hashr-22: Huwa Allahu allathee la ilaha illa huwa AAalimu alghaybi waalshshahadati huwa alrrahmanu alrraheemu
He is Allah besides Whom there is no god; (He is) the All-Knower of the Unseen and the seen. He is the All-Merciful, the Most Merciful.

59/Al-Hashr-23: Huwa Allahu allathee la ilaha illa huwa almaliku alquddoosu alssalamu almuminu almuhayminu alAAazeezu aljabbaru almutakabbiru subhana Allahi AAamma yushrikoona
He is Allah, besides Whom there is no god; the King, the Holy One, the Source of Security (the Giver of Peace, One Free from all defects), the Keeper of Faith (the Granter of Security), the Guardian over all, the Mighty One, the Compeller (Subduer), the Possessor of every Greatness (the Proud One). Glory be to Allah from what they associate as partners with Him.

59/Al-Hashr-24: Huwa Allahu alkhaliqu albario almusawwiru lahu alasmao alhusna yusabbihu lahu ma fee alssamawati waalardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu
He is Allah, the Creator, the Originator, the Fashioner (the Modeller); His are the Best (Most Beautiful) Names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
