7/Al-A'raf-1: Aliflammeemsad
Alif-Lâm-Mîm-Sâd [These disjointed letters are one of the miracles of the Qur´ân and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].
7/Al-A'raf-2: Kitabun onzila ilayka fala yakun fee sadrika harajun minhu litunthira bihi wathikra lilmumineena
(it is) a Book sent down to you, so let there be no straitness in your breast on account of it-that you may warn thereby and (it is) a Reminder to the believers.
7/Al-A'raf-3: IttabiAAoo ma onzila ilaykum min rabbikum wala tattabiAAoo min doonihi awliyaa qaleelan ma tathakkaroona
Follow (depend on) what has been sent to you from your Lord and do not follow any protecting friends besides Him. Little do you recollect (deliberate)!
7/Al-A'raf-4: Wakam min qaryatin ahlaknaha fajaaha basuna bayatan aw hum qailoona
And how many a town have We destroyed! So Our severe torment came to it by night or while they were taking their midday nap (while they slept at midday).
7/Al-A'raf-5: Fama kana daAAwahum ith jaahum basuna illa an qaloo inna kunna thalimeena
Yet their invocation, when Our severe torment came to them, was nothing but that they said: Surely we were wrongdoers!
7/Al-A'raf-6: Falanasalanna allatheena orsila ilayhim walanasalanna almursaleena
Most certainly then We will question those to whom (the Messengers) were sent, and most certainly We will also question the Messengers.
7/Al-A'raf-7: Falanaqussanna AAalayhim biAAilmin wama kunna ghaibeena
Then most certainly We will narrate to them with knowledge and We were not absent.
7/Al-A'raf-8: Waalwaznu yawmaithini alhaqqu faman thaqulat mawazeenuhu faolaika humu almuflihoona
And the measuring out (weighing) on that Day (of Permission, Calling to account) is true; then as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is heavy, those are they who shall be successful (who shall attain to the Salvation).
7/Al-A'raf-9: Waman khaffat mawazeenuhu faolaika allatheena khasiroo anfusahum bima kanoo biayatina yathlimoona
And as for him whose measure (scale of good deeds) is light, those are they who have made their souls fall into Loss (Husrân) because they wronged Our Verses (Communications, Signs…).
7/Al-A'raf-10: Walaqad makkannakum fee alardi wajaAAalna lakum feeha maAAayisha qaleelan ma tashkuroona
And certainly We have established you (We gave you authority, power) in the earth and made in it means of livelihood; little thanks do you give!
7/Al-A'raf-11: Walaqad khalaqnakum thumma sawwarnakum thumma qulna lilmalaikati osjudoo liadama fasajadoo illa ibleesa lam yakun mina alssajideena
And certainly We created you, then fashioned you, then We said to the angels: Prostrate yourselves to Adam, and they prostrated themselves except Iblîs (Satan), he was not of those who prostrated themselves.
7/Al-A'raf-12: Qala ma manaAAaka alla tasjuda ith amartuka qala ana khayrun minhu khalaqtanee min narin wakhalaqtahu min teenin
He (Allah) said: What prevented you that you did not prostrate yourself, when I commanded you (that you should prostrate yourself)? Iblîs (Satan) said: I am better than him (Adam), You created me from fire, and him You created from clay (mud…).
7/Al-A'raf-13: Qala faihbit minha fama yakoonu laka an tatakabbara feeha faokhruj innaka mina alssaghireena
He (Allah) said: Then get down from this, for it does not befit you to behave proudly therein. Go forth, therefore, surely you are of the abject ones.
7/Al-A'raf-14: Qala anthirnee ila yawmi yubAAathoona
He (Satan, Iblîs) said: reprieve (respite) me until the Day when they are raised up (resurrected).
7/Al-A'raf-15: Qala innaka mina almunthareena
He (Allah) said: Surely You are of the reprieved (respited) ones.
7/Al-A'raf-16: Qala fabima aghwaytanee laaqAAudanna lahum sirataka almustaqeema
He (Satan) said: As You has caused me to remain disappointed (You have sent me astray), I will certainly sit in wait against them on Your The Path directed (towards Allah).
7/Al-A'raf-17: Thumma laatiyannahum min bayni aydeehim wamin khalfihim waAAan aymanihim waAAan shamailihim wala tajidu aktharahum shakireena
Then I will certainly come to them from before them and from behind them and from their right-hand side and from their left-hand side; and You shall not find most of them thankful.
7/Al-A'raf-18: Qala okhruj minha mathooman madhooran laman tabiAAaka minhum laamlaanna jahannama minkum ajmaAAeena
He (Allah) said: Get out from this, despised, driven away (expelled); whoever of them will follow (depend on) you, I will certainly fill Hell with you all.
7/Al-A'raf-19: Waya adamu oskun anta wazawjuka aljannata fakula min haythu shituma wala taqraba hathihi alshshajarata fatakoona mina alththalimeena
And (We said): O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the Garden (Paradise); so eat from where you both wish; but do not approach this tree, for then you will be of the wrong-doers (unjust).
7/Al-A'raf-20: Fawaswasa lahuma alshshaytanu liyubdiya lahuma ma wooriya AAanhuma min sawatihima waqala ma nahakuma rabbukuma AAan hathihi alshshajarati illa an takoona malakayni aw takoona mina alkhalideena
Then Satan whispered suggestions to them that he might make manifest to them what had been hidden from them of their evil inclinations (of their shame, of their private parts) and he said: Your Lord has not forbidden you this tree except that you should become angels or become of the immortals.
7/Al-A'raf-21: Waqasamahuma innee lakuma lamina alnnasiheena
And he (Satan) swore by Allah to them both: Most surely I am one of the sincere well-wishers for you both (of the sincere advisers to you).
7/Al-A'raf-22: Fadallahuma bighuroorin falamma thaqa alshshajarata badat lahuma sawatuhuma watafiqa yakhsifani AAalayhima min waraqi aljannati wanadahuma rabbuhuma alam anhakuma AAan tilkuma alshshajarati waaqul lakuma inna alshshaytana lakuma AAaduwwun mubeenun
7/Al-A'raf-23: Qala rabbana thalamna anfusana wain lam taghfir lana watarhamna lanakoonanna mina alkhasireena
They both said: Our Lord! we wronged ourselves (our own souls), And If You do not forgive us and have not mercy on us, surely we are of the losers.
7/Al-A'raf-24: Qala ihbitoo baAAdukum libaAAdin AAaduwwun walakum fee alardi mustaqarrun wamataAAun ila heenin
He (Allah) said: Get down, some of you, the enemies of others, and there is for you in the earth an abode (a dwelling-place) and an enjoyment (provision) for a while.
7/Al-A'raf-25: Qala feeha tahyawna wafeeha tamootoona waminha tukhrajoona
He (Allah) said: Therein shall you live, and therein shall you die, and from it shall you be raised (brought forth, resurrected).
7/Al-A'raf-26: Ya banee adama qad anzalna AAalaykum libasan yuwaree sawatikum wareeshan walibasu alttaqwa thalika khayrun thalika min ayati Allahi laAAallahum yaththakkaroona
O Children of Adam! We have indeed sent down to you clothing to cover your shame (your private parts) and as an adornment; and the clothing of piety (takwâ), that is better (the best). This is of the Signs (Communications, Revelations…) of Allah that you may remember (deliberate).
7/Al-A'raf-27: Ya banee adama la yaftinannakumu alshshaytanu kama akhraja abawaykum mina aljannati yanziAAu AAanhuma libasahuma liyuriyahuma sawatihima innahu yarakum huwa waqabeeluhu min haythu la tarawnahum inna jaAAalna alshshayateena awliyaa lillatheena la yuminoona
O Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you (cause you to fall into Fitnah, temptation, incitement…) as he expelled your (first) parents from the Garden (Paradise) pulling off (stripping) from them both their clothing that he might show them their evil inclinations (their shame, their private parts). He surely sees you, he as well as his host (tribe) from where you cannot see them; surely We have made the devils (satans) the (protecting) friends of those who do not believe.
7/Al-A'raf-28: Waitha faAAaloo fahishatan qaloo wajadna AAalayha abaana waAllahu amarana biha qul inna Allaha la yamuru bialfahshai ataqooloona AAala Allahi ma la taAAlamoona
And when they commit an indecency (foulness) they say: We found our fathers on this (We saw so from them) and Allah has commanded it on us. Say: Allah never commands indecency (Fâhishah). Do you say of (against) Allah what you do not know?
7/Al-A'raf-29: Qul amara rabbee bialqisti waaqeemoo wujoohakum AAinda kulli masjidin waodAAoohu mukhliseena lahu alddeena kama badaakum taAAoodoona
Say: My Lord has commanded justice and (said) that you should set upright your faces in every place of worship to prayers and call on Him rendering the Religion peculiar to Him only. As He brought you forth in the beginning, so shall you also return (to Him).
7/Al-A'raf-30: Fareeqan hada wafareeqan haqqa AAalayhimu alddalalatu innahumu ittakhathoo alshshayateena awliyaa min dooni Allahi wayahsaboona annahum muhtadoona
A group has attained to Guidance, and a group deserved to be in Misguidance; surely they took the devils (satans) for protecting friends instead of Allah, and reckon that they have attained to Guidance.
7/Al-A'raf-31: Ya banee adama khuthoo zeenatakum AAinda kulli masjidin wakuloo waishraboo wala tusrifoo innahu la yuhibbu almusrifeena
O Children of Adam! Wear your beautiful adornment (Attend to your embellishments) at every (time and) place of worship and eat and drink, but do not be prodigal (extravagant). Surely He does not love the prodigal (extravagant).
7/Al-A'raf-32: Qul man harrama zeenata Allahi allatee akhraja liAAibadihi waalttayyibati mina alrrizqi qul hiya lillatheena amanoo fee alhayati alddunya khalisatan yawma alqiyamati kathalika nufassilu alayati liqawmin yaAAlamoona
Say: Who has prohibited the embellishment (adornment) of Allah which He has brought forth for His servants and the good and clean things from the provision (sustenance)? Say: These are for those who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before dying) in the life of this world (and) exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection; thus do We explain the Verses (Signs) in detail for a people who know.
7/Al-A'raf-33: Qul innama harrama rabbiya alfawahisha ma thahara minha wama batana waalithma waalbaghya bighayri alhaqqi waan tushrikoo biAllahi ma lam yunazzil bihi sultanan waan taqooloo AAala Allahi ma la taAAlamoona
Say: My Lord has only prohibited indecencies, those of them that are apparent (committed openly) as well as those that are concealed (committed secretly) and the sin(s) (of all kinds) and rebellion without justice, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down any authority (warrant, proof…), and that you say against Allah what you do not know
7/Al-A'raf-34: Walikulli ommatin ajalun faitha jaa ajaluhum la yastakhiroona saAAatan wala yastaqdimoona
And for every nation (Umma) there is an appointed term (a doom) so when their (appointed) term (their doom) comes, they cannot put it off an hour nor yet advance (it) (they do not remain behind the least while, nor do they go before).
7/Al-A'raf-35: Ya banee adama imma yatiyannakum rusulun minkum yaqussoona AAalaykum ayatee famani ittaqa waaslaha fala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona
O Children of Adam! Whenever Messengers of your own come to you who narrate to you My Verses (Communications, Signs…), then whoever has piety (refrains from evil) and improves (amends) on them there is no fear nor do they grieve.
7/Al-A'raf-36: Waallatheena kaththaboo biayatina waistakbaroo AAanha olaika ashabu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona
And (as for) those who reject (belie, deny) our Verses (Revelations, Signs) and treat them with arrogance, these are the inmates of the Fire, they shall abide in it forever.
7/Al-A'raf-37: Faman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba biayatihi olaika yanaluhum naseebuhum mina alkitabi hatta itha jaathum rusuluna yatawaffawnahum qaloo ayna ma kuntum tadAAoona min dooni Allahi qaloo dalloo AAanna washahidoo AAala anfusihim annahum kanoo kafireena
Who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah or rejects (denies) His Verses (Communications, Signs…)? (As for) those, their portion of the Book shall reach them, until, when Our messengers (the angel of death and his assistants) come to them to take their souls, they (the angels) will say: Where is that which you used to call upon besides Allah? They would say: They are gone away from us and they shall bear witness against themselves (their own souls) that they were disbelievers.
7/Al-A'raf-38: Qala odkhuloo fee omamin qad khalat min qablikum mina aljinni waalinsi fee alnnari kullama dakhalat ommatun laAAanat okhtaha hatta itha iddarakoo feeha jameeAAan qalat okhrahum lioolahum rabbana haolai adalloona faatihim AAathaban diAAfan mina alnnari qala likullin diAAfun walakin la taAAlamoona
He (Allah) said: Enter into the Fire among nations of the jinn and men who have passed away before you. Whenever a nation enters, it curses its sister (nation), until, when they have all come up with one another into it, the last of them says to the first of them: Our Lord! These left us in Misguidance, so give them a double torment of the Fire! He says: For each one there is double (torment) but you do not know.
7/Al-A'raf-39: Waqalat oolahum liokhrahum fama kana lakum AAalayna min fadlin fathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum taksiboona
And the first of them says to the last of them; so you have no preference (superiority) over us; therefore taste the torment for what you used to earn.
7/Al-A'raf-40: Inna allatheena kaththaboo biayatina waistakbaroo AAanha la tufattahu lahum abwabu alssamai wala yadkhuloona aljannata hatta yalija aljamalu fee sammi alkhiyati wakathalika najzee almujrimeena
Surely (as for) those who belie (reject, deny) Our Verses (Communications, Signs…) and treat them with haughtiness, the gates of heaven will not be opened for them, nor shall they enter the Garden (Paradise) until the camel (heavy rope) pass through the eye of the needle; and thus do We reward (punish) the criminals (the guilty, the sinners).
7/Al-A'raf-41: Lahum min jahannama mihadun wamin fawqihim ghawashin wakathalika najzee alththalimeena
For them there is a bed of Hell and over them coverings (of Hell). Thus do We requite the wrongdoers.
7/Al-A'raf-42: Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati la nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha olaika ashabu aljannati hum feeha khalidoona
And (as for) those who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah while they are living) and do improving deeds (that purify and refine their souls’ hearts), We do not burden any soul beyond its scope (We do not impose on any soul a duty except to the extent of its ability). They are the owners (dwellers) of the Garden (Paradise); in it they shall abide (forever).
7/Al-A'raf-43: WanazaAAna ma fee sudoorihim min ghillin tajree min tahtihimu alanharu waqaloo alhamdu lillahi allathee hadana lihatha wama kunna linahtadiya lawla an hadana Allahu laqad jaat rusulu rabbina bialhaqqi wanoodoo an tilkumu aljannatu oorithtumooha bima kuntum taAAmaloona
And We remove whatever of ill-feeling (calamities in their souls’ hearts) is in their breasts; the rivers flow under them and they say: All praise is due to Allah Who has guided us to this, and never could we have attained to Guidance, had it not been that Allah had guided us! Certainly the Messengers of our Lord brought the truth (did come with the truth). And it is cried out to them: This is the Garden (Paradise) of which you are made heirs (inheritors) for what you used to do.
7/Al-A'raf-44: Wanada ashabu aljannati ashaba alnnari an qad wajadna ma waAAadana rabbuna haqqan fahal wajadtum ma waAAada rabbukum haqqan qaloo naAAam faaththana muaththinun baynahum an laAAnatu Allahi AAala alththalimeena
And the owners (dwellers) of the Garden (Paradise) call out to the inmates of the Fire: Surely we have found what our Lord promised us (to be) true; have you too found what your Lord promised you (to be) true? They say: Yes. Then a crier between them cries: The Curse of Allah is on the wrong-doers.
7/Al-A'raf-45: Allatheena yasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi wayabghoonaha AAiwajan wahum bialakhirati kafiroona
Who hinder (people) from the Way of Allah and seek to make it crooked and they are disbelievers in the hereafter (in the spirit’s reaching Allah before death).
7/Al-A'raf-46: Wabaynahuma hijabun waAAala alaAArafi rijalun yaAArifoona kullan biseemahum wanadaw ashaba aljannati an salamun AAalaykum lam yadkhulooha wahum yatmaAAoona
And between the two, there is a veil (screen) and on Al-A’râf (and on the most elevated places) there are men who recognize all by their marks and call out to the dwellers of the Garden (Paradise) They did not enter it yet, but hope (to enter it): Peace be on you.
7/Al-A'raf-47: Waitha surifat absaruhum tilqaa ashabi alnnari qaloo rabbana la tajAAalna maAAa alqawmi alththalimeena
And when their eyes are turned towards the inmates of the Fire, they say: Our Lord! Do not place us with the wrongdoing people!
7/Al-A'raf-48: Wanada ashabu alaAArafi rijalan yaAArifoonahum biseemahum qaloo ma aghna AAankum jamAAukum wama kuntum tastakbiroona
And the dwellers (owners) of Al-A’râf (of the most elevated places) call out to the men whom they recognize by their marks: Of no avail were to you your amassings and your behaving haughtily (in which you took your pride)?
7/Al-A'raf-49: Ahaolai allatheena aqsamtum la yanaluhumu Allahu birahmatin odkhuloo aljannata la khawfun AAalaykum wala antum tahzanoona
(it is said to the dwellers of the Fire): Are these they about whom you swore that Allah will not reach with mercy? (And it is said to the owners of the Garden): Enter the Garden (Paradise): There is no fear on you nor do you grieve.
7/Al-A'raf-50: Wanada ashabu alnari ashaba aljannati an afeedoo AAalayna mina almai aw mimma razaqakumu Allahu qaloo inna Allaha harramahuma AAala alkafireena
And the inmates of the Fire call out to the owners (dwellers) of the Garden: Pour on us some water or of that which Allah has given you as sustenance. They say: Allah has forbidden them both to the disbelievers.
7/Al-A'raf-51: Allatheena ittakhathoo deenahum lahwan walaAAiban wagharrathumu alhayatu alddunya faalyawma nansahum kama nasoo liqaa yawmihim hatha wama kanoo biayatina yajhadoona
Who took their religion as an amusement and play and whom the life of the world beguiled. So this Day We have forgotten them even as they forgot their meeting of this Day, and as they used to deny (belie, reject) Our Signs (Verses, Communications…) knowingly.
7/Al-A'raf-52: Walaqad jinahum bikitabin fassalnahu AAala AAilmin hudan warahmatan liqawmin yuminoona
And certainly We have brought them a Book which We have explained in detail with knowledge, as a Guidance (making men reach Allah) and a Mercy for a people who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before dying).
7/Al-A'raf-53: Hal yanthuroona illa taweelahu yawma yatee taweeluhu yaqoolu allatheena nasoohu min qablu qad jaat rusulu rabbina bialhaqqi fahal lana min shufaAAaa fayashfaAAoo lana aw nuraddu fanaAAmala ghayra allathee kunna naAAmalu qad khasiroo anfusahum wadalla AAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroona
Are they waiting for anything except its final sequel (its interpretation)? On the Day when its final sequel (its interpretation) comes (about), those who have forgotten it will say: Indeed the Messengers of our Lord have come with the truth; are there for us then any intercessors so that they should intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back (to life on earth) so that we should do (deeds) other than those which we did? Indeed they have lost their souls (they have caused their souls to undergo the loss) and that which they forged has gone away from them.
7/Al-A'raf-54: Inna rabbakumu Allahu allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi yughshee allayla alnnahara yatlubuhu hatheethan waalshshamsa waalqamara waalnnujooma musakhkharatin biamrihi ala lahu alkhalqu waalamru tabaraka Allahu rabbu alAAalameena
Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days (in six periods of time), then He rose over the Throne (He was established upon the Throne). He covers the night with the day, which is in haste to follow it, and the sun and the moon and the stars are made subservient by His Command. Surely His is the Creation and the Command, is it not? Blessed is Allah, Lord of the Worlds.
7/Al-A'raf-55: OdAAoo rabbakum tadarruAAan wakhufyatan innahu la yuhibbu almuAAtadeena
Call on our Lord with humility and in secret. He does not love those who exceed the limits.
7/Al-A'raf-56: Wala tufsidoo fee alardi baAAda islahiha waodAAoohu khawfan watamaAAan inna rahmata Allahi qareebun mina almuhsineena
And do not make mischief in the earth after its reformation (its improvement) and call on Him with fear and hope. Surely the Mercy of Allah is (ever) near to the good-doers (Muhsinîn).
7/Al-A'raf-57: Wahuwa allathee yursilu alrriyaha bushran bayna yaday rahmatihi hatta itha aqallat sahaban thiqalan suqnahu libaladin mayyitin faanzalna bihi almaa faakhrajna bihi min kulli alththamarati kathalika nukhriju almawta laAAallakum tathakkaroona
And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, (going) before His Mercy (rain). Till, when they have carried a heavy-laden cloud, We drive it to a land that is dead, then We cause water (rain) to descend on it, Then We produce every kind of fruit therewith. Similarly, We shall bring forth the dead that you may deliberate (remember).
7/Al-A'raf-58: Waalbaladu alttayyibu yakhruju nabatuhu biithni rabbihi waallathee khabutha la yakhruju illa nakidan kathalika nusarrifu alayati liqawmin yashkuroona
And as for the good (and clean) land (whose soil is productive), its vegetation springs forth by the Permission of its Lord, and (as for) that which is bad (and dirty unproductive, barren), (its herbage) comes forth but scantily. Thus do We explain in detail the Verses (Signs) for a people who give thanks.
7/Al-A'raf-59: Laqad arsalna noohan ila qawmihi faqala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu innee akhafu AAalaykum AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin
Certainly We sent Noah to his people, so he said: O my people! Serve (be servants to) Allah, you have no god other than Him; surely I fear for you the torment of a great Day!
7/Al-A'raf-60: Qala almalao min qawmihi inna lanaraka fee dalalin mubeenin
The chiefs of his people said: Most surely we see you in clear Misguidance.
7/Al-A'raf-61: Qala ya qawmi laysa bee dalalatun walakinnee rasoolun min rabbi alAAalameena
He said: O my people! there is no Misguidance in me, but I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Worlds.
7/Al-A'raf-62: Oballighukum risalati rabbee waansahu lakum waaAAlamu mina Allahi ma la taAAlamoona
I convey (deliver) to you the messages of my Lord and give good counsel to you and know from Allah what you do not know.
7/Al-A'raf-63: AwaAAajibtum an jaakum thikrun min rabbikum AAala rajulin minkum liyunthirakum walitattaqoo walaAAallakum turhamoona
What! do you wonder that a Reminder (ZİQRUN) has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you, that he might warn you and that you might have piety (be the owners of piety, takwâ) and so that mercy may be shown to you?
7/Al-A'raf-64: Fakaththaboohu faanjaynahu waallatheena maAAahu fee alfulki waaghraqna allatheena kaththaboo biayatina innahum kanoo qawman AAameena
But they called him a liar, so We saved him and those with him in the Ark (ship) and We drowned those who belied (denied) Our Verses (Signs); surely they were a people in blindness.
7/Al-A'raf-65: Waila AAadin akhahum hoodan qala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu afala tattaqoona
And to ‘Âd (People, We sent) their brother, Hûd. He said: O my people! Serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; will you then have piety (will you then be the owners of piety, takwâ)?
7/Al-A'raf-66: Qala almalao allatheena kafaroo min qawmihi inna lanaraka fee safahatin wainna lanathunnuka mina alkathibeena
The chiefs (the leaders) of those who disbelieved from among his people said: Most surely we see you in folly, and most surely we think you to be of the liars.
7/Al-A'raf-67: Qala ya qawmi laysa bee safahatun walakinnee rasoolun min rabbi alAAalameena
He said: O my people! there is no folly in me; but I am a Messenger of the Lord of the Worlds.
7/Al-A'raf-68: Oballighukum risalati rabbee waana lakum nasihun ameenun
I convey (deliver) to you the messages of my Lord and I am a faithful adviser (well-wisher) to you.
7/Al-A'raf-69: AwaAAajibtum an jaakum thikrun min rabbikum AAala rajulin minkum liyunthirakum waothkuroo ith jaAAalakum khulafaa min baAAdi qawmi noohin wazadakum fee alkhalqi bastatan faothkuroo alaa Allahi laAAallakum tuflihoona
What! do you wonder that a Reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you that he might warn you? And remember when He made you successors after Noah’s people and increased you amply in stature (He made your physical bodies big and strong) So remember the blessings of Allah upon you, that perhaps you may attain to the Salvation.
7/Al-A'raf-70: Qaloo ajitana linaAAbuda Allaha wahdahu wanathara ma kana yaAAbudu abaona fatina bima taAAiduna in kunta mina alssadiqeena
They said: Have you come to us that we may serve (be servants to) Allah alone and give up what our fathers used to serve? Then bring to us what you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful (ones).
7/Al-A'raf-71: Qala qad waqaAAa AAalaykum min rabbikum rijsun waghadabun atujadiloonanee fee asmain sammaytumooha antum waabaokum ma nazzala Allahu biha min sultanin faintathiroo innee maAAakum mina almuntathireena
He said: Indeed Uncleanness (torment) and Wrath from your Lord have lighted upon you; what! do you dispute (wrangle) with me about names which you and your fathers have named (given)? Allah has not sent any authority (warrant, proof…) for them; wait then, I too with you will be of those who wait.
7/Al-A'raf-72: Faanjaynahu waallatheena maAAahu birahmatin minna waqataAAna dabira allatheena kaththaboo biayatina wama kanoo mumineena
Then (after that event) We delivered him and those with him by Mercy from Us and We cut off the last (root) of those who belied (rejected, denied) our Verses (Signs…) and were not believers.
7/Al-A'raf-73: Waila thamooda akhahum salihan qala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu qad jaatkum bayyinatun min rabbikum hathihi naqatu Allahi lakum ayatan fatharooha takul fee ardi Allahi wala tamassooha bisooin fayakhuthakum AAathabun aleemun
And to (the ancient tribe of) Thamûd (We sent) their brother Sâlih. He said: O my people! Serve Allah! You have no god other than Him; clear proof (miracle, means of proving) indeed has come to you from your Lord; this is the she-camel of Allah, a token (sign, miracle) to you; so let her feed in Allah’s earth and do not touch her with any harm (with evil intention), otherwise a painful torment seizes you.
7/Al-A'raf-74: Waothkuroo ith jaAAalakum khulafaa min baAAdi AAadin wabawwaakum fee alardi tattakhithoona min suhooliha qusooran watanhitoona aljibala buyootan faothkuroo alaa Allahi wala taAAthaw fee alardi mufsideena
And remember when (how) He made you successors after Aad and settled you in the land (earth), you make mansions (palaces and castles) on its plains and carve (hew) out houses in the mountains. So remember the Blessings of Allah and do not act corruptly in the land, making mischief.
7/Al-A'raf-75: Qala almalao allatheena istakbaroo min qawmihi lillatheena istudAAifoo liman amana minhum ataAAlamoona anna salihan mursalun min rabbihi qaloo inna bima orsila bihi muminoona
The leaders (chiefs) of those who behaved proudly among his people said to those who were considered weak, to those who believed from among them: Do you know that Sâlih is sent by his Lord? They said: Surely we are believers in what he has been sent with.
7/Al-A'raf-76: Qala allatheena istakbaroo inna biallathee amantum bihi kafiroona
Those who were haughty said: Surely we are disbelievers (deniers) of what you believe in.
7/Al-A'raf-77: FaAAaqaroo alnnaqata waAAataw AAan amri rabbihim waqaloo ya salihu itina bima taAAiduna in kunta mina almursaleena
So they hamstrung (killed) the she-camel and revolted against their Lord’s Commandment and they said: O Sâlih! Bring us what you threatened us with, if you are one of the Messengers (of Allah).
7/Al-A'raf-78: Faakhathathumu alrrajfatu faasbahoo fee darihim jathimeena
So the earthquake seized them and they lay (dead), prostrate in their homes (they remained kneeled down in their homes).
7/Al-A'raf-79: Fatawalla AAanhum waqala ya qawmi laqad ablaghtukum risalata rabbee wanasahtu lakum walakin la tuhibboona alnnasiheena
Then he (Sâlih) turned away from them and said: O my people, I did certainly deliver to you the Message of my Lord and I gave you good advice, but you do not love the good advisers.
7/Al-A'raf-80: Walootan ith qala liqawmihi atatoona alfahishata ma sabaqakum biha min ahadin mina alAAalameena
And Lot! (Remember) when he said to his people: What! Do you commit an indecency which any one has not done before you in (from) the Worlds?
7/Al-A'raf-81: Innakum latatoona alrrijala shahwatan min dooni alnnisai bal antum qawmun musrifoona
Most surely you come to males in lust besides females; you are indeed a people transgressing the bounds.
7/Al-A'raf-82: Wama kana jawaba qawmihi illa an qaloo akhrijoohum min qaryatikum innahum onasun yatatahharoona
And the answer of his people was no other than that they said: Turn them out of your town, surely they are a people who want to be pure (from sins).
7/Al-A'raf-83: Faanjaynahu waahlahu illa imraatahu kanat mina alghabireena
So We rescued him and his household (his followers), except his wife; she was of those who remained behind (in the torment).
7/Al-A'raf-84: Waamtarna AAalayhim mataran faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu almujrimeena
And We rained down on them a rain (of stones); consider then what was the end of the criminals (guilty, sinners…).
7/Al-A'raf-85: Waila madyana akhahum shuAAayban qala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu qad jaatkum bayyinatun min rabbikum faawfoo alkayla waalmeezana wala tabkhasoo alnnasa ashyaahum wala tufsidoo fee alardi baAAda islahiha thalikum khayrun lakum in kuntum mumineena
And to (the people of) Midian (We sent) their brother Shu’ayb. He said: O my people! Serve (be servants to) Allah, you have no god other than Him; clear proof (a miracle) indeed has come to you from your Lord, therefore give full measure and full weight and do not diminish to men (the value of) their things, and do not make mischief in the earth (land) after its reform (improvement); this is better for you if you are (true) believers.
7/Al-A'raf-86: Wala taqAAudoo bikulli siratin tooAAidoona watasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi man amana bihi watabghoonaha AAiwajan waothkuroo ith kuntum qaleelan fakaththarakum waonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu almufsideena
And do not lie in wait on every path, threatening and turning away from Allah’s Way him who believes in Him and seeking to make it crooked; and remember when you were few, then He multiplied you, and consider what was the end of the mischief-makers.
7/Al-A'raf-87: Wain kana taifatun minkum amanoo biallathee orsiltu bihi wataifatun lam yuminoo faisbiroo hatta yahkuma Allahu baynana wahuwa khayru alhakimeena
And if there is a party (group) of you who believe in that with which I have been sent and a party who do not believe, then have patience until Allah judges between us; and He is the Best of the judges.
7/Al-A'raf-88: Qala almalao allatheena istakbaroo min qawmihi lanukhrijannaka ya shuAAaybu waallatheena amanoo maAAaka min qaryatina aw lataAAoodunna fee millatina qala awalaw kunna kariheena
The chiefs of those who were arrogant among his people said: We will most certainly drive you out, O Shu’ayb, and (also) those who believe with you, from our town or you shall come back to our religion. He said: What! Even though we dislike (it)?
7/Al-A'raf-89: Qadi iftarayna AAala Allahi kathiban in AAudna fee millatikum baAAda ith najjana Allahu minha wama yakoonu lana an naAAooda feeha illa an yashaa Allahu rabbuna wasiAAa rabbuna kulla shayin AAilman AAala Allahi tawakkalna rabbana iftah baynana wabayna qawmina bialhaqqi waanta khayru alfatiheena
Indeed we shall have forged a lie against Allah if we go back to your religion after Allah has delivered us from it, and it does not befit us that we should go back to it, except if Allah our Lord should will (so). Our Lord comprehends all things in His Knowledge; In Allah (Alone) we put our trust. Our Lord! Judge (Decide) between us and our people with truth; and You are the Best of deciders.
7/Al-A'raf-90: Waqala almalao allatheena kafaroo min qawmihi laini ittabaAAtum shuAAayban innakum ithan lakhasiroona
And the chiefs (leaders) of those who disbelieved from among his people said: If you follow (depend on) Shu’ayb, You shall then most surely be losers (be of those who make their souls fall into loss).
7/Al-A'raf-91: Faakhathathumu alrrajfatu faasbahoo fee darihim jathimeena
So the earthquake seized them, and morning found them prostrate (knelt down) in their homes.
7/Al-A'raf-92: Allatheena kaththaboo shuAAayban kaan lam yaghnaw feeha allatheena kaththaboo shuAAayban kanoo humu alkhasireena
Those who called Shu’ayb a liar were as though they had never dwelt therein; those who called Shu’ayb a liar, they were the losers (they caused their souls to fall into loss, husrân).
7/Al-A'raf-93: Fatawalla AAanhum waqala ya qawmi laqad ablaghtukum risalati rabbee wanasahtu lakum fakayfa asa AAala qawmin kafireena
So he (Shu’ayb) turned away from them and said: O my people! certainly I delivered to you the messages of my Lord and I gave you good advice; how shall I then be sorry for an disbelieving people?
7/Al-A'raf-94: Wama arsalna fee qaryatin min nabiyyin illa akhathna ahlaha bialbasai waalddarrai laAAallahum yaddarraAAoona
And We did not send a Prophet in a town but We overtook its people with distress and affliction in order that they might beg earnestly (humiliate themselves).
7/Al-A'raf-95: Thumma baddalna makana alssayyiati alhasanata hatta AAafaw waqaloo qad massa abaana alddarrao waalssarrao faakhathnahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona
Then We changed the evil for the good, until they increased in number and in wealth and said: Our fathers were touched with evil (loss of health and calamities) and with good (prosperity). So We seized them all of a sudden while they were unaware (when they did not perceive).
7/Al-A'raf-96: Walaw anna ahla alqura amanoo waittaqaw lafatahna AAalayhim barakatin mina alssamai waalardi walakin kaththaboo faakhathnahum bima kanoo yaksiboona
If the people of the towns had believed (had been âmenû, had wished to reach Allah before death) and had had piety, We would certainly have opened up for them abundance from the heaven and the earth, but they belied (rejected), so We seized them on account of what they used to earn.
7/Al-A'raf-97: Afaamina ahlu alqura an yatiyahum basuna bayatan wahum naimoona
What! do the people of the towns (cities) then feel secure from Our severe punishment coming to them by night while they sleep?
7/Al-A'raf-98: Awa amina ahlu alqura an yatiyahum basuna duhan wahum yalAAaboona
What! do the people of the towns feel secure from Our severe punishment coming to them in the forenoon while they play?
7/Al-A'raf-99: Afaaminoo makra Allahi fala yamanu makra Allahi illa alqawmu alkhasiroona
What! do they then feel secure from Allah’s Plan? But none feels secure from Allah’s Plan (from the fact that Allah will not torment them) except the people in loss.
7/Al-A'raf-100: Awalam yahdi lillatheena yarithoona alarda min baAAdi ahliha an law nashao asabnahum bithunoobihim wanatbaAAu AAala quloobihim fahum la yasmaAAoona
Do not this cause those who inherit the earth after its (former) residents to attain to Guidance that if We had willed, We would have caused (disasters) to come upon them for their sins. And We seal up their hearts so they would not hear.
7/Al-A'raf-101: Tilka alqura naqussu AAalayka min anbaiha walaqad jaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kanoo liyuminoo bima kaththaboo min qablu kathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAala quloobi alkafireena
Such were the towns. We relate to you some of their stories, and certainly their Messengers came to them with the clear arguments, but they would not believe in what they rejected (belied) at first; thus does Allah set a seal over the hearts of the disbelievers.
7/Al-A'raf-102: Wama wajadna liaktharihim min AAahdin wain wajadna aktharahum lafasiqeena
We found no (loyalty to any) covenant in most of them. Nay, most of them We found to be certainly transgressors (Fâsiqîn=those who are not in the Way of Allah or have gone out of it).
7/Al-A'raf-103: Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosa biayatina ila firAAawna wamalaihi fathalamoo biha faonuthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu almufsideena
Then, We sent after them Moses with Our Verses (Signs, miracles) to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they wrongfully rejected them; consider then what was the end of the mischief-makers.
7/Al-A'raf-104: Waqala moosa ya firAAawnu innee rasoolun min rabbi alAAalameena
And Moses said: O Pharaoh! Surely I am a Messenger (charged with a duty) from the Lord of the Worlds.
7/Al-A'raf-105: Haqeequn AAala an la aqoola AAala Allahi illa alhaqqa qad jitukum bibayyinatin min rabbikum faarsil maAAiya banee israeela
What is true is that I should say nothing about Allah except the truth: I have come to you indeed with clear proof from your Lord, therefore send with me the Children of Israel.
7/Al-A'raf-106: Qala in kunta jita biayatin fati biha in kunta mina alssadiqeena
He (Pharaoh) said: If you have come with a Sign (a miracle), then bring it, if you are of the truthful ones.
7/Al-A'raf-107: Faalqa AAasahu faitha hiya thuAAbanun mubeenun
So he threw his rod (stick), then lo! it was a serpent, manifest!
7/Al-A'raf-108: WanazaAAa yadahu faitha hiya baydao lilnnathireena
And he drew forth his hand (from his bosom), and lo! it was white (with radiance) for the beholders.
7/Al-A'raf-109: Qala almalao min qawmi firAAawna inna hatha lasahirun AAaleemun
The chiefs of Pharaoh’s people said: most surely this is a well-versed sorcerer (a learned magician).
7/Al-A'raf-110: Yureedu an yukhrijakum min ardikum famatha tamuroona
(Pharaoh asked the chiefs of his people about Moses) He wants to get you out of your land, so what do you command (advise)?
7/Al-A'raf-111: Qaloo arjih waakhahu waarsil fee almadaini hashireena
They said: Put him off and his brother, and send collectors into the cities.
7/Al-A'raf-112: Yatooka bikulli sahirin AAaleemin
That they may bring to you every learned magician (all well-versed sorcerers).
7/Al-A'raf-113: Wajaa alssaharatu firAAawna qaloo inna lana laajran in kunna nahnu alghalibeena
And so all the sorcerers (enchanters, magicians) came to Pharaoh (and) said: We must surely have a reward if we are the prevailing ones (the victors)?
7/Al-A'raf-114: Qala naAAam wainnakum lamina almuqarrabeena
He (Pharaoh) said: Yes, and you shall certainly be of those brought near (to me).
7/Al-A'raf-115: Qaloo ya moosa imma an tulqiya waimma an nakoona nahnu almulqeena
They said: O Moses! Will you cast, or shall we be the first to cast?
7/Al-A'raf-116: Qala alqoo falamma alqaw saharoo aAAyuna alnnasi waistarhaboohum wajaoo bisihrin AAatheemin
He (Moses) said: Cast. So when they cast, they bewitched the eyes of the people and overawed them, and they produced a mighty magic (enchantment).
7/Al-A'raf-117: Waawhayna ila moosa an alqi AAasaka faitha hiya talqafu ma yafikoona
And We revealed to Moses, saying: Cast your rod (stick); then lo! it swallowed up all the falsehood which they fake!
7/Al-A'raf-118: FawaqaAAa alhaqqu wabatala ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
Thus was the truth vindicated and what they did was made vain (became null).
7/Al-A'raf-119: Faghuliboo hunalika wainqalaboo saghireena
Thus they were vanquished there and they went back abased.
7/Al-A'raf-120: Waolqiya alssaharatu sajideena
And the sorcerers fell down prostrate [and the enchanters were thrown down, prostrating (themselves)].
7/Al-A'raf-121: Qaloo amanna birabbi alAAalameena
They said: We believe in the Lord of the Worlds.
7/Al-A'raf-122: Rabbi moosa waharoona
The Lord of Moses and Aaron.
7/Al-A'raf-123: Qala firAAawnu amantum bihi qabla an athana lakum inna hatha lamakrun makartumoohu fee almadeenati litukhrijoo minha ahlaha fasawfa taAAlamoona
Pharaoh said: Do you believe in Him before I have given you permission? Surely this is a plot which you have secretly devised in this city, that you may turn out of it its people, but you shall come to know.
7/Al-A'raf-124: LaoqatiAAanna aydiyakum waarjulakum min khilafin thumma laosallibannakum ajmaAAeena
I will certainly cut off your hands and your feet from opposite sides, then I will crucify you all together.
7/Al-A'raf-125: Qaloo inna ila rabbina munqaliboona
They said: Surely to our Lord are we returning.
7/Al-A'raf-126: Wama tanqimu minna illa an amanna biayati rabbina lamma jaatna rabbana afrigh AAalayna sabran watawaffana muslimeena
And you do not take vengeance (revenge) on us except because we have believed in the Signs (Communications… miracles) of our Lord when they came to us. Our Lord! Pour out on us patience and cause us to die in Submissions (there are four submissions to Allah, i.e. the submission of the spirit, the physical body, the soul and the free will).
7/Al-A'raf-127: Waqala almalao min qawmi firAAawna atatharu moosa waqawmahu liyufsidoo fee alardi wayatharaka waalihataka qala sanuqattilu abnaahum wanastahyee nisaahum wainna fawqahum qahiroona
And the chiefs of Pharaoh’s people said: Do you leave Moses and his people to make mischief in the land and to abandon you and your gods? He said: We will kill their sons and let live their women, and we have indeed irresistible power over them.
7/Al-A'raf-128: Qala moosa liqawmihi istaAAeenoo biAllahi waisbiroo inna alarda lillahi yoorithuha man yashao min AAibadihi waalAAaqibatu lilmuttaqeena
Moses said to his people; Ask (special) help from Allah and be patient. Verily, the earth is Allah’s. He causes such of His servants to inherit it as He wills, and the end (victory) is for the owners of piety, takwâ.
7/Al-A'raf-129: Qaloo ootheena min qabli an tatiyana wamin baAAdi ma jitana qala AAasa rabbukum an yuhlika AAaduwwakum wayastakhlifakum fee alardi fayanthura kayfa taAAmaloona
They said: We have been persecuted before you came to us and since you have come to us. He said: It may be that your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you successors (rulers) in the earth (land), then He will see how you act.
7/Al-A'raf-130: Walaqad akhathna ala firAAawna bialssineena wanaqsin mina alththamarati laAAallahum yaththakkaroona
And certainly We overtook Pharaoh’s people with droughts and diminution of fruits that they may deliberate (remember, take heed).
7/Al-A'raf-131: Faitha jaathumu alhasanatu qaloo lana hathihi wain tusibhum sayyiatun yattayyaroo bimoosa waman maAAahu ala innama tairuhum AAinda Allahi walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona
But when good befell them, they said: This is due to us; and when evil afflicted them, they attributed it to the ill-omen of Moses and those with him; surely their evil auspice is only from Allah, but most of them do not know.
7/Al-A'raf-132: Waqaloo mahma tatina bihi min ayatin litasharana biha fama nahnu laka bimumineena
And they said: Whatever sign (miracle) you may bring to us to charm us with it, we will not believe in you.
7/Al-A'raf-133: Faarsalna AAalayhimu alttoofana waaljarada waalqummala waalddafadiAAa waalddama ayatin mufassalatin faistakbaroo wakanoo qawman mujrimeena
Therefore We sent on them the flood and the locusts and the lice (vermin) and the frogs and the blood: (a succession of) clear signs; but they behaved haughtily and they were a criminal (guilty) people.
7/Al-A'raf-134: Walamma waqaAAa AAalayhimu alrrijzu qaloo ya moosa odAAu lana rabbaka bima AAahida AAindaka lain kashafta AAanna alrrijza lanuminanna laka walanursilanna maAAaka banee israeela
And when the plague fell upon them, they said: O Moses! Pray for us to your Lord, because He has a covenant (of prophethood) with you, if you remove the plague from us, we will certainly believe in you and we will certainly send away with you the Children of Israel.
7/Al-A'raf-135: Falamma kashafna AAanhumu alrrijza ila ajalin hum balighoohu itha hum yankuthoona
But when We removed the plague from them till a term which they should attain, lo! they broke (their word).
7/Al-A'raf-136: Faintaqamna minhum faaghraqnahum fee alyammi biannahum kaththaboo biayatina wakanoo AAanha ghafileena
Therefore We took revenge on them and drowned them in the sea because they belied (rejected) our Signs (Communications…) and were heedless of them.
7/Al-A'raf-137: Waawrathna alqawma allatheena kanoo yustadAAafoona mashariqa alardi wamagharibaha allatee barakna feeha watammat kalimatu rabbika alhusna AAala banee israeela bima sabaroo wadammarna ma kana yasnaAAu firAAawnu waqawmuhu wama kanoo yaAArishoona
And We made the people who were deemed weak to inherit the eastern parts of the land and the western ones which We had blessed and the fair word of your Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel because of their endurance [because they bore up (sufferings) patiently] and We utterly destroyed what Pharaoh and his people had done and what they built.
7/Al-A'raf-138: Wajawazna bibanee israeela albahra faataw AAala qawmin yaAAkufoona AAala asnamin lahum qaloo ya moosa ijAAal lana ilahan kama lahum alihatun qala innakum qawmun tajhaloona
And We made the Children of Israel to pass the sea; then they came upon a people who kept to the worship of their idols. They said: O Moses! Make for us a god as they have (their) gods. He said: Surely you are a people acting ignorantly.
7/Al-A'raf-139: Inna haolai mutabbarun ma hum feehi wabatilun ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
(As to) these (people), surely they will be destroyed for that which they are engaged in (idols-worship). And all that they are doing is in vain.
7/Al-A'raf-140: Qala aghayra Allahi abgheekum ilahan wahuwa faddalakum AAala alAAalameena
He (Moses) said: What! Shall I seek for you a god other than Allah while He has made you excel the worlds?
7/Al-A'raf-141: Waith anjaynakum min ali firAAawna yasoomoonakum sooa alAAathabi yuqattiloona abnaakum wayastahyoona nisaakum wafee thalikum balaon min rabbikum AAatheemun
And (remember) when We rescued you from Pharaoh’s family (people) who subjected you to severe torment, killing your sons and letting your women live and in this there was a great trial from your Lord.
7/Al-A'raf-142: WawaAAadna moosa thalatheena laylatan waatmamnaha biAAashrin fatamma meeqatu rabbihi arbaAAeena laylatan waqala moosa liakheehi haroona okhlufnee fee qawmee waaslih wala tattabiAA sabeela almufsideena
And We promised Moses thirty nights and completed them with ten (more nights) so the appointed time of his Lord was complete forty nights and Moses said to his brother Aaron: Take my place among my people and amend (improve) and do not follow the way of the mischief-makers.
7/Al-A'raf-143: Walamma jaa moosa limeeqatina wakallamahu rabbuhu qala rabbi arinee anthur ilayka qala lan taranee walakini onthur ila aljabali faini istaqarra makanahu fasawfa taranee falamma tajalla rabbuhu liljabali jaAAalahu dakkan wakharra moosa saAAiqan falamma afaqa qala subhanaka tubtu ilayka waana awwalu almumineena
And when Moses (Mûsâ) came at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he (Moses) said: My Lord! Show me (Yourself), that I may look upon You. He (Allah) said: You cannot see Me, but look at the mountain, if it stands still in its place, then you shall see Me. So when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He made it crumble and Moses fell down unconscious (in a swoon), then when he recovered (his senses), he said: Glory be to You, I turn to You in repentance and I am the first of the believers.
7/Al-A'raf-144: Qala ya moosa innee istafaytuka AAala alnnasi birisalatee wabikalamee fakhuth ma ataytuka wakun mina alshshakireena
He (Allah) said: O Moses! Surely I have chosen you above the men with My Messages and with My Words, therefore take hold of what I give to you and be of the grateful ones.
7/Al-A'raf-145: Wakatabna lahu fee alalwahi min kulli shayin mawAAithatan watafseelan likulli shayin fakhuthha biquwwatin wamur qawmaka yakhuthoo biahsaniha saoreekum dara alfasiqeena
And We wrote (ordained) for him on the Tablets an admonition and the detailed explanation of all things (by explaining in detail with a definite Judgment). So take hold of them with firmness and enjoin your people to take hold of what is best thereof: I will show you the home of the transgressors (Al-Fâsiqûn=those who are not in the Way of Allah or have gone of it).
7/Al-A'raf-146: Saasrifu AAan ayatiya allatheena yatakabbaroona fee alardi bighayri alhaqqi wain yaraw kulla ayatin la yuminoo biha wain yaraw sabeela alrrushdi la yattakhithoohu sabeelan wain yaraw sabeela alghayyi yattakhithoohu sabeelan thalika biannahum kaththaboo biayatina wakanoo AAanha ghafileena
I will turn away from My Verses (Signs, Communications…) those who are unjustly proud in the earth; and if they see every sign they will not believe in it; if they see the way of immaterial maturity (rushd) they do not take it for a way, and if they see the way of error (gayy) (that drags into Hell), they take it for a way; this is because they rejected (belied) our Verses (Signs…) and were heedless of them.
7/Al-A'raf-147: Waallatheena kaththaboo biayatina waliqai alakhirati habitat aAAmaluhum hal yujzawna illa ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
And (as to) those who reject (belie) Our Verses (Signs…) and the meeting of the hereafter (the spirit’s reaching Allah while living), their deeds are vain (null). Shall they be rewarded except for what they used to do?
7/Al-A'raf-148: Waittakhatha qawmu moosa min baAAdihi min huliyyihim AAijlan jasadan lahu khuwarun alam yaraw annahu la yukallimuhum wala yahdeehim sabeelan ittakhathoohu wakanoo thalimeena
And the people of Moses made of their ornaments a call after him (after he had gone to the Mount), a (mere) body, which gave a mooing sound. What! Could they not see that it did not speak to them nor guide them to a way? They took it (for a god) and they were wrong-doers.
7/Al-A'raf-149: Walamma suqita fee aydeehim waraaw annahum qad dalloo qaloo lain lam yarhamna rabbuna wayaghfir lana lanakoonanna mina alkhasireena
When it was made to fall into their hands (when they came to their senses and repented) and saw that they had fallen into Misguidance, they said: If our Lord have not mercy upon us and forgive us, we shall certainly be of the losers (of those who will fall into loss, Husrân).
7/Al-A'raf-150: Walamma rajaAAa moosa ila qawmihi ghadbana asifan qala bisama khalaftumoonee min baAAdee aAAajiltum amra rabbikum waalqa alalwaha waakhatha birasi akheehi yajurruhu ilayhi qala ibna omma inna alqawma istadAAafoonee wakadoo yaqtuloonanee fala tushmit biya alaAAdaa wala tajAAalnee maAAa alqawmi alththalimeena
And when Moses returned to his people (from the Presence of Allah) wrathful (and) in violent grief (Allah had said to him that his people had deviated from the Way of Allah=20/Tâ-hâ:85) he said (to them): What an evil successor you have been to me after me (in my absence)! Would you hasten on the matter (order) of your Lord? And he cast down the Tablets, and he seized his brother by the head, dragging him towards him. He (Aaron) said: O son of my mother! surely the people did judge me weak and almost killed me, therefore make not the enemies to rejoice over me and do not make me on the same level with the unjust people.
7/Al-A'raf-151: Qala rabbi ighfir lee waliakhee waadkhilna fee rahmatika waanta arhamu alrrahimeena
He (Moses) said: My Lord! Forgive me and my brother and cause us to enter into Your mercy and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful ones.
7/Al-A'raf-152: Inna allatheena ittakhathoo alAAijla sayanaluhum ghadabun min rabbihim wathillatun fee alhayati alddunya wakathalika najzee almuftareena
(As for) those who took the calf (for a god), surely Wrath from their Lord and humiliation in this world’s life shall come upon them, and thus do We recompense (punish) the devisers of lies.
7/Al-A'raf-153: Waallatheena AAamiloo alssayyiati thumma taboo min baAAdiha waamanoo inna rabbaka min baAAdiha laghafoorun raheemun
And (as to) those who do evil deeds (that make men lose the degrees), then repent [before the saint guide (murshid)] and believe (become âmenû, wish to reach Allah before dying), your Lord after that (after their having become âmenû) is indeed Oft-Forgiving (the One who changes evil deeds into rewards), Most Merciful (the One who sends the light of Mercy).
7/Al-A'raf-154: Walamma sakata AAan moosa alghadabu akhatha alalwaha wafee nuskhatiha hudan warahmatun lillatheena hum lirabbihim yarhaboona
And when Moses’ anger calmed down, he took up the Tablets, and in the writing of it was Guidance (reaching Allah) and Mercy for those who fear (for the sake of) their Lord.
7/Al-A'raf-155: Waikhtara moosa qawmahu sabAAeena rajulan limeeqatina falamma akhathathumu alrrajfatu qala rabbi law shita ahlaktahum min qablu waiyyaya atuhlikuna bima faAAala alssufahao minna in hiya illa fitnatuka tudillu biha man tashao watahdee man tashao anta waliyyuna faighfir lana wairhamna waanta khayru alghafireena
And Moses chose out of his people seventy men for Our appointed time and place of meeting; so when the earthquake overtook them, he said: My Lord! If You had willed, You had destroyed them before and me (too); Will you destroy us for what the foolish ones among us have done? It is only Your trial by which You leave in Misguidance whom You will, and You cause to attain to Guidance whom You will. You are our protecting Friend (Walî), so forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best of the forgivers.
7/Al-A'raf-156: Waoktub lana fee hathihi alddunya hasanatan wafee alakhirati inna hudna ilayka qala AAathabee oseebu bihi man ashao warahmatee wasiAAat kulla shayin fasaaktubuha lillatheena yattaqoona wayutoona alzzakata waallatheena hum biayatina yuminoona
And write (ordain) for us in this world that which is good (good deeds that cause us to gain positive degrees, make us gain more positive degrees than the negative degrees) and in the Hereafter (on the Day of Resurrection, on the day of true life) for surely We have turned to You. He (Allah) said: (As for) My Torment (Punishment), I afflict with it whom I will and My Mercy encompasses (embraces) all things; so I will write (ordain) it (specially) for those who have piety and pay the poor-rate (the Zakât) and those who believe in Our Verses (Signs).
7/Al-A'raf-157: Allatheena yattabiAAoona alrrasoola alnnabiyya alommiyya allathee yajidoonahu maktooban AAindahum fee alttawrati waalinjeeli yamuruhum bialmaAAroofi wayanhahum AAani almunkari wayuhillu lahumu alttayyibati wayuharrimu AAalayhimu alkhabaitha wayadaAAu AAanhum israhum waalaghlala allatee kanat AAalayhim faallatheena amanoo bihi waAAazzaroohu wanasaroohu waittabaAAoo alnnoora allathee onzila maAAahu olaika humu almuflihoona
Those who depend on (follow) the Messenger, the Prophet, the Illiterate (the Ummi) whom they find written with them in the Torah (Deut, xviii 15) and the Gospel (John xix, 16), he enjoins on them Al-Ma’rûf (all that Islam has ordained, good) and forbids them Al-Munkar (all that Islam has forbidden, Evil, Wrong…) and makes lawful to them all the good and clean things and makes unlawful to them all the evil and impure things and removes from them their burdens (the heaviness of their sins by changing their sins into rewards) and the fetters which were upon them (the tie that fastens the spirit to the physical body and the golden chain with 7 links on the Door of Conquest at the seventh Celestial Level) So (as for) those who believe in him (Muhammad, peace and benedictions be upon him) and honor him and help him and follow the Light (the Qur’ân) which has been sent down with him, these it is that are the successful (those who have attained to the Salvation, i.e. to the Bliss in the Hereafter and happiness in this worldly life).
7/Al-A'raf-158: Qul ya ayyuha alnnasu innee rasoolu Allahi ilaykum jameeAAan allathee lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi la ilaha illa huwa yuhyee wayumeetu faaminoo biAllahi warasoolihi alnnabiyyi alommiyyi allathee yuminu biAllahi wakalimatihi waittabiAAoohu laAAallakum tahtadoona
Say: O mankind! Surely I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, of Him Whose is the Kingdom (Sovereignty) of the heavens and the earth, there is no god but He; It is He Who gives life and causes death, therefore believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Prophet, the Illiterate who believes in Allah and His Words and depend on him so that you may attain to Guidance.
7/Al-A'raf-159: Wamin qawmi moosa ommatun yahdoona bialhaqqi wabihi yaAAdiloona
And of the people of Moses, there is a Community who cause (men) to attain to the Truth (to Guidance) and establish justice with it (truth).
7/Al-A'raf-160: WaqattaAAnahumu ithnatay AAashrata asbatan omaman waawhayna ila moosa ithi istasqahu qawmuhu ani idrib biAAasaka alhajara fainbajasat minhu ithnata AAashrata AAaynan qad AAalima kullu onasin mashrabahum wathallalna AAalayhimu alghamama waanzalna AAalayhimu almanna waalssalwa kuloo min tayyibati ma razaqnakum wama thalamoona walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona
And We divided them into twelve tribes, as (distinct) nations; and We revealed to Moses when his people asked him for water: Strike the rock (stone) with your staff, so there gushed forth out of it twelve springs, so that each tribe knew their drinking place. And We caused the white cloud to overshadow them, sent down for them Al-Manna and the quails: Eat of the good and clean things with which We have provided you. They did not wrong us but they used to wrong their own souls.
7/Al-A'raf-161: Waith qeela lahumu oskunoo hathihi alqaryata wakuloo minha haythu shitum waqooloo hittatun waodkhuloo albaba sujjadan naghfir lakum khateeatikum sanazeedu almuhsineena
And (remember) when it was said to them: Dwell in this town and eat from it wherever you wish and say: Repentance (Forgive our sins; put down from us our heavy burdens) and enter the gate, prostrate. We will forgive you your wrong-doings. We will increase (the reward) for the good-doers (Muhsinîn= those who have submitted their physical bodies by rendering them servants to Allah).
7/Al-A'raf-162: Fabaddala allatheena thalamoo minhum qawlan ghayra allathee qeela lahum faarsalna AAalayhim rijzan mina alssamai bima kanoo yathlimoona
But those of them who did wrong changed the word that had been spoken to them for another saying, and We sent down upon them filth (torment) from heaven because they used to do wrong.
7/Al-A'raf-163: Waisalhum AAani alqaryati allatee kanat hadirata albahri ith yaAAdoona fee alssabti ith tateehim heetanuhum yawma sabtihim shurraAAan wayawma la yasbitoona la tateehim kathalika nabloohum bima kanoo yafsuqoona
And ask them about the town that was (once) by the sea: when they exceeded the limits of the Sabbath (Saturday), when their fish came to them on the day of their Sabbath (on the day when the prohibition was carried out), appearing on the surface of the water, and on the day on which they did not keep the Sabbath (on the day when the prohibition was not carried out) they did not come to them; thus did We try them because they used to transgress (they were in Fısq, i.e. in not being in the Way of Allah or having gone out of it).
7/Al-A'raf-164: Waith qalat ommatun minhum lima taAAithoona qawman Allahu muhlikuhum aw muAAaththibuhum AAathaban shadeedan qaloo maAAthiratan ila rabbikum walaAAallahum yattaqoona
And when a party of them said: Why do you admonish a people whom Allah would destroy or whom He would torment with a severe torment (punishment)? They said: so that this should be an excuse to your Lord (To be free from blame before your Lord) and that haply they may have piety (guard against evil).
7/Al-A'raf-165: Falamma nasoo ma thukkiroo bihi anjayna allatheena yanhawna AAani alssooi waakhathna allatheena thalamoo biAAathabin baeesin bima kanoo yafsuqoona
So when they forgot what they had been reminded of, We rescued those who forbade evil and We seized those who did wrong with an evil torment because they used to transgress (they were falling into Fısq).
7/Al-A'raf-166: Falamma AAataw AAan ma nuhoo AAanhu qulna lahum koonoo qiradatan khasieena
So when they exceeded the limits of what they were prohibited, (Therefore when they revoltingly persisted in what they had been forbidden) We said to them: Be (as) apes, despised and hated.
7/Al-A'raf-167: Waith taaththana rabbuka layabAAathanna AAalayhim ila yawmi alqiyamati man yasoomuhum sooa alAAathabi inna rabbaka lasareeAAu alAAiqabi wainnahu laghafoorun raheemun
And when your Lord declared that He would certainly keep on sending against them till the Day of Resurrection those who would subject them to an evil torment; most surely your Lord is Quick to requite (evil) and most surely He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
7/Al-A'raf-168: WaqattaAAnahum fee alardi omaman minhumu alssalihoona waminhum doona thalika wabalawnahum bialhasanati waalssayyiati laAAallahum yarjiAAoona
And We cut them up on the earth into (separate) nations (some) of them being improved ones and (others) of them are away from that (falling short of that) and We tried them with good things (with good deeds that cause them to earn the positive degrees) and evil things (evil deeds that cause them to earn the negative degrees) that perhaps they might return (to Allah).
7/Al-A'raf-169: Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun warithoo alkitaba yakhuthoona AAarada hatha aladna wayaqooloona sayughfaru lana wain yatihim AAaradun mithluhu yakhuthoohu alam yukhath AAalayhim meethaqu alkitabi an la yaqooloo AAala Allahi illa alhaqqa wadarasoo ma feehi waalddaru alakhiratu khayrun lillatheena yattaqoona afala taAAqiloona
Then after them succeeded an evil posterity who inherited the Book. They grasp the frail goods of this low life and say: It will be forgiven us (our evil deeds will be changed into rewards). And if the like of goods came to them, they would take them (too). Was not the Covenant of the Book taken from them that they would not say about Allah anything but the truth? And they have studied what is in it; and the Home (Abode) of the Hereafter is better for those who are the owners of piety, takwâ. Do you not then exercise your mind?
7/Al-A'raf-170: Waallatheena yumassikoona bialkitabi waaqamoo alssalata inna la nudeeAAu ajra almusliheena
And (as for) those who hold fast to the Book and keep up the Prayer (As-Salât), surely We never waste the reward of the improved ones (muslihîn).
7/Al-A'raf-171: Waith nataqna aljabala fawqahum kaannahu thullatun wathannoo annahu waqiAAun bihim khuthoo ma ataynakum biquwwatin waothkuroo ma feehi laAAallakum tattaqoona
And (remember) when We raised the Mount over them as if it had been a canopy, and they thought that it was going to fall down on them: Hold firmly to what We have given you and remember (deliberate) what is in it so that you may have piety (you may be the owners of piety, takwâ).
7/Al-A'raf-172: Waith akhatha rabbuka min banee adama min thuhoorihim thurriyyatahum waashhadahum AAala anfusihim alastu birabbikum qaloo bala shahidna an taqooloo yawma alqiyamati inna kunna AAan hatha ghafileena
And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins (backs) their seed (progeny) and made them bear witness against their own souls: Am I not your Lord? They said: Yes, (You are our Lord) we bear witness, lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: Verily, we were heedless (unaware) of this.
7/Al-A'raf-173: Aw taqooloo innama ashraka abaona min qablu wakunna thurriyyatan min baAAdihim afatuhlikuna bima faAAala almubtiloona
Or lest you should say: It was only our fathers aforetime who associated others (with Allah) and we were an offspring after them. Will you then destroy us for what the vain doers did?
7/Al-A'raf-174: Wakathalika nufassilu alayati walaAAallahum yarjiAAoona
And thus do We explain the Verses (Signs…) in detail, so that they may return (to Allah, to the Truth).
7/Al-A'raf-175: Waotlu AAalayhim nabaa allathee ataynahu ayatina fainsalakha minha faatbaAAahu alshshaytanu fakana mina alghaweena
And recite (read and explain) to them the narrative of him to whom We gave Our Verses (Signs, Revelations…), but he sloughed them off, so Satan caused him to depend on him (followed him up) and he became of those who went astray.
7/Al-A'raf-176: Walaw shina larafaAAnahu biha walakinnahu akhlada ila alardi waittabaAAa hawahu famathaluhu kamathali alkalbi in tahmil AAalayhi yalhath aw tatrukhu yalhath thalika mathalu alqawmi allatheena kaththaboo biayatina faoqsusi alqasasa laAAallahum yatafakkaroona
And if We had willed, We would certainly have exalted him thereby, but he clung to the earth and followed his own vain desire. So his parable is as the parable of a dog: if you attack him (if you show concern for him) he pants with his tongue out, and if you leave him alone he tolls out his tongue; this is the parable of the people who deny (belie, reject) Our Verses (Signs…); therefore relate the narrative that they may reflect (think deeply and amply).
7/Al-A'raf-177: Saa mathalan alqawmu allatheena kaththaboo biayatina waanfusahum kanoo yathlimoona
Evil is the likeness of the people who reject Our Verses (Revelations, Signs…) and wrong their own souls.
7/Al-A'raf-178: Man yahdi Allahu fahuwa almuhtadee waman yudlil faolaika humu alkhasiroona
Whomsoever Allah guides (whomsoever Allah causes to attain to Guidance (whomsoever Allah causes to reach Himself) he is the one who has attained to Guidance. And whomsoever He leaves in Misguidance, these are the losers (Hâsirûn=those who have undergone the Loss, who have caused their souls to fall into Loss).
7/Al-A'raf-179: Walaqad tharana lijahannama katheeran mina aljinni waalinsi lahum quloobun la yafqahoona biha walahum aAAyunun la yubsiroona biha walahum athanun la yasmaAAoona biha olaika kaalanAAami bal hum adallu olaika humu alghafiloona
And surely, We have created many of the jinn and the men for Hell. They have hearts with which they do not understand, and they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear; they are as cattle, no, even more misguided: those! They are the heedless ones.
7/Al-A'raf-180: Walillahi alasmao alhusna faodAAoohu biha watharoo allatheena yulhidoona fee asmaihi sayujzawna ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
And (all) the Most Beautiful Names (all the Best Names) belong to Allah, therefore call on Him by them and leave those who distort (wrench, twist) (the meanings of) the Names of Allah. They will be requited for what they used to do.
7/Al-A'raf-181: Wamimman khalaqna ommatun yahdoona bialhaqqi wabihi yaAAdiloona
And of those whom We have created, there is a community who guides (others) to (with) the Truth (Hakk, Allah) and establish justice therewith.
7/Al-A'raf-182: Waallatheena kaththaboo biayatina sanastadrijuhum min haythu la yaAAlamoona
And (as to) those who reject (belie, deny) Our Ayât (Verses, Signs, Evidences…), We draw them near (to destruction) by degrees from whence they do not know.
7/Al-A'raf-183: Waomlee lahum inna kaydee mateenun
And I grant them respite; surely My scheme is strong (effective).
7/Al-A'raf-184: Awalam yatafakkaroo ma bisahibihim min jinnatin in huwa illa natheerun mubeenun
Do they not reflect? There is no madness in their companion (Muhammad, pbbuh). He is but a plain Warner.
7/Al-A'raf-185: Awalam yanthuroo fee malakooti alssamawati waalardi wama khalaqa Allahu min shayin waan AAasa an yakoona qadi iqtaraba ajaluhum fabiayyi hadeethin baAAdahu yuminoona
Do they not look in the Kingdom (Dominion) of the heavens and the earth and whatever things Allah has created, and that it may be that their own term draws near? In what word (fact) after this will they believe?
7/Al-A'raf-186: Man yudlili Allahu fala hadiya lahu wayatharuhum fee tughyanihim yaAAmahoona
Whomsoever Allah leaves in Misguidance, there is no guide (the one who causes him to attain to Guidance, to reach Allah) for him and He leaves them alone in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.
7/Al-A'raf-187: Yasaloonaka AAani alssaAAati ayyana mursaha qul innama AAilmuha AAinda rabbee la yujalleeha liwaqtiha illa huwa thaqulat fee alssamawati waalardi la tateekum illa baghtatan yasaloonaka kaannaka hafiyyun AAanha qul innama AAilmuha AAinda Allahi walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona
They ask you about the Hour, when will be its taking place (its anchoring). Say: The Knowledge of it is only with my Lord. He Alone will manifest (disclose) it at its time; it will be heavy (momentous) in the heavens and the earth; It will not come upon you except all of a sudden. They ask you as though you could be well informed of it. Say: Knowledge of it is with Allah only, but most of mankind do not know.
7/Al-A'raf-188: Qul la amliku linafsee nafAAan wala darran illa ma shaa Allahu walaw kuntu aAAlamu alghayba laistakthartu mina alkhayri wama massaniya alssooo in ana illa natheerun wabasheerun liqawmin yuminoona
Say: For myself I have no power to benefit, nor power to harm, except that which Allah wills and if I had known the Unseen, I should have abundance of wealth (I should have increased the good) and no evil should have touched me. I am but a Warner and a bearer of glad tidings to a people who believe.
7/Al-A'raf-189: Huwa allathee khalaqakum min nafsin wahidatin wajaAAala minha zawjaha liyaskuna ilayha falamma taghashshaha hamalat hamlan khafeefan famarrat bihi falamma athqalat daAAawa Allaha rabbahuma lain ataytana salihan lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena
He it is Who did create you from a single soul and from it did make his mate that he might take rest in her (incline to her). So when he covered her (by embracing her) she bore a light burden, then moved about with it. But when it became heavy, they both called upon Allah, their Lord: If you give us an improved child, we shall certainly be of the grateful ones.
7/Al-A'raf-190: Falamma atahuma salihan jaAAala lahu shurakaa feema atahuma fataAAala Allahu AAamma yushrikoona
But when He gave them an improved (Sâlih) child, they set up with Him associates in what He had given them. High is He exalted above all that they associate (with Him).
7/Al-A'raf-191: Ayushrikoona ma la yakhluqu shayan wahum yukhlaqoona
Do they attribute as partners to Allah those who created nothing while they are themselves created?
7/Al-A'raf-192: Wala yastateeAAoona lahum nasran wala anfusahum yansuroona
And they have no power to give them help, nor can they help themselves.
7/Al-A'raf-193: Wain tadAAoohum ila alhuda la yattabiAAookum sawaon AAalaykum adaAAawtumoohum am antum samitoona
And if you call them to Guidance (to reach Allah before death), they do not follow you; it is the same to you whether you call them or you are silent.
7/Al-A'raf-194: Inna allatheena tadAAoona min dooni Allahi AAibadun amthalukum faodAAoohum falyastajeeboo lakum in kuntum sadiqeena
Surely those whom you call on besides Allah are servants like you. So call on them, then let them answer you if you are truthful.
7/Al-A'raf-195: Alahum arjulun yamshoona biha am lahum aydin yabtishoona biha am lahum aAAyunun yubsiroona biha am lahum athanun yasmaAAoona biha quli odAAoo shurakaakum thumma keedooni fala tunthirooni
Have they feet with which they walk or have they hands with which they hold, or have they eyes with which they see, or have they ears with which they hear? Say: Call your associates, then plot against me, and give me no respite.
7/Al-A'raf-196: Inna waliyyiya Allahu allathee nazzala alkitaba wahuwa yatawalla alssaliheena
Surely my Protecting Friend (Walî) is Allah, who sent down the Book and He befriends the improved ones (Sâlihîn).
7/Al-A'raf-197: Waallatheena tadAAoona min doonihi la yastateeAAoona nasrakum wala anfusahum yansuroona
And those whom you call upon besides Allah are not able to help you, nor can they help themselves.
7/Al-A'raf-198: Wain tadAAoohum ila alhuda la yasmaAAoo watarahum yanthuroona ilayka wahum la yubsiroona
And if you call them to Guidance (to reach Allah before dying) they do not hear; and you see them looking towards you, yet they do not see.
7/Al-A'raf-199: Khuthi alAAafwa wamur bialAAurfi waaAArid AAani aljahileena
Take to pardon (make the pardoning a method for you) and enjoin kindness (‘urf or ma’rûf=customs acceptable to the monotheistic creed and just social patterns of the new Revelation) and turn aside from the ignorant.
7/Al-A'raf-200: Waimma yanzaghannaka mina alshshaytani nazghun faistaAAith biAllahi innahu sameeAAun AAaleemun
And if a thrust from the devil (Satan) prods you, seek refuge in Allah. Surely, He is All-Hearer, All-Knower.
7/Al-A'raf-201: Inna allatheena ittaqaw itha massahum taifun mina alshshaytani tathakkaroo faitha hum mubsiroona
Those who are the owners of piety, when a passing notion (a visitation) from Satan troubles them, they remember (Allah, they converse with Allah) and (indeed) they then see (with the faculty of seeing of their hearts’ eyes).
7/Al-A'raf-202: Waikhwanuhum yamuddoonahum fee alghayyi thumma la yuqsiroona
And their brothers (the devils) plunge them further into Error (into Hell, Gayy), and they never stop short (they do not cease).
7/Al-A'raf-203: Waitha lam tatihim biayatin qaloo lawla ijtabaytaha qul innama attabiAAu ma yooha ilayya min rabbee hatha basairu min rabbikum wahudan warahmatun liqawmin yuminoona
And when you do not bring them a Sign (miracle), they say: Why have you not chosen it (Why have you not forged it?). Say: I follow only what is revealed to me from my Lord; these are the insights (the helps that ensure the seeing of the hearts’ eyes) from your Lord and a Guidance (that which causes (men) to reach Allah) and a mercy for a people who believe (for a people in the hearts of whom the Faith is written).
7/Al-A'raf-204: Waitha quria alquranu faistamiAAoo lahu waansitoo laAAallakum turhamoona
And when the Qur´ân is recited (read), then listen to it and remain silent, that mercy may be shown to you.
7/Al-A'raf-205: Waothkur rabbaka fee nafsika tadarruAAan wakheefatan wadoona aljahri mina alqawli bialghuduwwi waalasali wala takun mina alghafileena
And remember (repeat the Name of) your Lord within yourself humbly and with fear and without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the evenings (afternoons) and do not be of the heedless ones.
7/Al-A'raf-206: Inna allatheena AAinda rabbika la yastakbiroona AAan AAibadatihi wayusabbihoonahu walahu yasjudoona
Surely, those who are with (near to) your Lord are not too proud to serve Him (to worship Him) and they glorify Him and prostrate themselves before Him (and fall down in prostration).
