29/Al-Ankabut-1: Aliflammeem
Alif-Lâm-Mîm. [These disjointed letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].
29/Al-Ankabut-2: Ahasiba alnnasu an yutrakoo an yaqooloo amanna wahum la yuftanoona
Do men reckon (think) that they will be left alone because they say: We believe and not be tested (tried)?
29/Al-Ankabut-3: Walaqad fatanna allatheena min qablihim falayaAAlamanna Allahu allatheena sadaqoo walayaAAlamanna alkathibeena
And certainly We tested (tried) those before them, so Allah certainly knows who are true and certainly knows the liars.
29/Al-Ankabut-4: Am hasiba allatheena yaAAmaloona alssayyiati an yasbiqoona saa ma yahkumoona
Or do those who do evil deeds reckon (think) that they will outstrip (escape) us? (They will pass our trial?) Evil is it that they judge!
29/Al-Ankabut-5: Man kana yarjoo liqaa Allahi fainna ajala Allahi laatin wahuwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
Whoever hopes (wishes) to meet (reach) Allah (while he is living), the term appointed by Allah will then most surely come (his spirit will most surely arrive at Allah while he is alive), and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
29/Al-Ankabut-6: Waman jahada fainnama yujahidu linafsihi inna Allaha laghaniyyun AAani alAAalameena
And whoever strives hard, he strives only for his own soul; most surely Allah is Self-Sufficient, above (need of) the Worlds. (Allah can do without the Worlds).
29/Al-Ankabut-7: Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lanukaffiranna AAanhum sayyiatihim walanajziyannahum ahsana allathee kanoo yaAAmaloona
And (as for) those who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah while they are living) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s purification), We will most certainly remit from them their evil deeds and We will most certainly reward them the best of what they used to do.
29/Al-Ankabut-8: Wawassayna alinsana biwalidayhi husnan wain jahadaka litushrika bee ma laysa laka bihi AAilmun fala tutiAAhuma ilayya marjiAAukum faonabbiokum bima kuntum taAAmaloona
And We have enjoined on man to be kind and dutiful to his parents, and if they strive to make you join (any associate) with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them; to Me is your return, so I will inform you of what you used to do.
29/Al-Ankabut-9: Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lanudkhilannahum fee alssaliheena
And (as for) those who believe (who are âmenû, who have attained to the Station of Improvement) and do improved deeds (do the refinement of the soul), We will most surely cause them to enter among the Improved Ones (sâlihin).
29/Al-Ankabut-10: Wamina alnnasi man yaqoolu amanna biAllahi faitha oothiya fee Allahi jaAAala fitnata alnnasi kaAAathabi Allahi walain jaa nasrun min rabbika layaqoolunna inna kunna maAAakum awalaysa Allahu biaAAlama bima fee sudoori alAAalameena
Of mankind are some who say: We believe in Allah; but when they are persecuted in (the Way of) Allah, they consider the persecution (trial) of the men to be as the torment (punishment) of Allah; and if assistance (victory) comes from your Lord, they would certainly say: Surely we were with you. What! Is not Allah the Best Knower of what is in the breasts of the worlds?
29/Al-Ankabut-11: WalayaAAlamanna Allahu allatheena amanoo walayaAAlamanna almunafiqeena
And most certainly Allah knows those who believe (who are âmenû), and most certainly He knows the hypocrites.
29/Al-Ankabut-12: Waqala allatheena kafaroo lillatheena amanoo ittabiAAoo sabeelana walnahmil khatayakum wama hum bihamileena min khatayahum min shayin innahum lakathiboona
And those who disbelieve say to those who believe (who are âmenû): Follow our way and we will bear your mistakes (sins) .And never shall they be the bearers of any of their mistakes (sins); most surely they are liars.
29/Al-Ankabut-13: Walayahmilunna athqalahum waathqalan maAAa athqalihim walayusalunna yawma alqiyamati AAamma kanoo yaftaroona
And most certainly they shall bear their own burdens, and other burdens with their own burdens, and most certainly they shall be questioned on the Day of Resurrection as to what they forged (invented).
29/Al-Ankabut-14: Walaqad arsalna noohan ila qawmihi falabitha feehim alfa sanatin illa khamseena AAaman faakhathahumu alttoofanu wahum thalimoona
And certainly We sent Noah (Nûh) to his people, so he remained among them a thousand years, less fifty years; and the Deluge overtook them, while they were wrong-doers (polytheists…).
29/Al-Ankabut-15: Faanjaynahu waashaba alssafeenati wajaAAalnaha ayatan lilAAalameena
So We delivered him and the inmates of the Ark, and made it a Sign for the Worlds.
29/Al-Ankabut-16: Waibraheema ith qala liqawmihi oAAbudoo Allaha waittaqoohu thalikum khayrun lakum in kuntum taAAlamoona
And (We sent) Abraham, when he said to his people: Serve (become servants to) Allah and have piety towards Him; this is better for you, if you did but know.
29/Al-Ankabut-17: Innama taAAbudoona min dooni Allahi awthanan watakhluqoona ifkan inna allatheena taAAbudoona min dooni Allahi la yamlikoona lakum rizqan faibtaghoo AAinda Allahi alrrizqa waoAAbudoohu waoshkuroo lahu ilayhi turjaAAoona
You only worship idols besides Allah and you create a lie (you only invent falsehood); surely they whom you serve besides Allah have no power to give you any sustenance, therefore seek the sustenance in the Divine Presence and serve (become servants to) Allah and be grateful to Him; to Him you shall be brought back.
29/Al-Ankabut-18: Wain tukaththiboo faqad kaththaba omamun min qablikum wama AAala alrrasooli illa albalaghu almubeenu
And if you deny (belie), nations (communities) before you did indeed reject (belie); and nothing is incumbent on the Messenger but a plain conveying (of the Message)
29/Al-Ankabut-19: Awalam yaraw kayfa yubdio Allahu alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu inna thalika AAala Allahi yaseerun
What! Do they not consider how Allah originates the Creation, and then He will restore it? Surely that is easy to Allah.
29/Al-Ankabut-20: Qul seeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa badaa alkhalqa thumma Allahu yunshio alnnashata alakhirata inna Allaha AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
Travel in the earth and see how He makes the first creation, then Allah creates the latter creation (the Creation of the Hereafter). Surely Allah has Power over all things.
29/Al-Ankabut-21: YuAAaththibu man yashao wayarhamu man yashao wailayhi tuqlaboona
He torments (punishes) whom He wills and has Mercy on whom He wills (He manifests Himself with His Name of the Most Merciful on whom He wills), and to Him you shall be made to be returned (transformed from a state into others).
29/Al-Ankabut-22: Wama antum bimuAAjizeena fee alardi wala fee alssamai wama lakum min dooni Allahi min waliyyin wala naseerin
And you shall not escape in the earth or in the heaven (from Allah) and besides Allah you have neither any protecting friend (wali) nor any helper.
29/Al-Ankabut-23: Waallatheena kafaroo biayati Allahi waliqaihi olaika yaisoo min rahmatee waolaika lahum AAathabun aleemun
And (as to) those who disbelieve in the Verses (Signs...) of Allah and His meeting (in making their spirits reach Allah while they are living), they have despaired of My Mercy and these, it is they for whom there is a painful torment.
29/Al-Ankabut-24: Fama kana jawaba qawmihi illa an qaloo oqtuloohu aw harriqoohu faanjahu Allahu mina alnnari inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yuminoona
So nothing was the answer of his people except that they said: Kill him or burn him; then Allah delivered him from the fire; most surely there are Signs in this for a people who believe.
29/Al-Ankabut-25: Waqala innama ittakhathtum min dooni Allahi awthanan mawaddata baynikum fee alhayati alddunya thumma yawma alqiyamati yakfuru baAAdukum bibaAAdin wayalAAanu baAAdukum baAAdan wamawakumu alnnaru wama lakum min nasireena
And He (Abraham) said: you have only taken for yourselves idols besides Allah by way of friendship (love) between you in the life of the world, then on the Day of Resurrection some of you shall deny, and your abode is the Fire, and for you there is any helper.
29/Al-Ankabut-26: Faamana lahu lootun waqala innee muhajirun ila rabbee innahu huwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu
And Lot believed in him (Abraham) (he depended on him) and he said: I am an emigrant to my Lord (I will make my spirit reach Allah while I am living). Surely, He is the All-Mighty (the Most Loved), the All-Wise.
29/Al-Ankabut-27: Wawahabna lahu ishaqa wayaAAqooba wajaAAalna fee thurriyyatihi alnnubuwwata waalkitaba waataynahu ajrahu fee alddunya wainnahu fee alakhirati lamina alssaliheena
And We bestowed on him Isaac (Ishâq) and Jacob (Ya’qûb), and caused the Prophet-hood and the Book to remain in his seed (offspring), and We gave him his reward (wage) in this world and in the Hereafter he verily is of the Improved Ones (Sâlihîn).
29/Al-Ankabut-28: Walootan ith qala liqawmihi innakum latatoona alfahishata ma sabaqakum biha min ahadin mina alAAalameena
And (We sent) Lot when he said to his people: Most surely you come to obscenity (sodomy) which none has preceded you in (committing) it of the worlds.
29/Al-Ankabut-29: Ainnakum latatoona alrrijala wataqtaAAoona alssabeela watatoona fee nadeekumu almunkara fama kana jawaba qawmihi illa an qaloo itina biAAathabi Allahi in kunta mina alssadiqeena
What! Do you come to the males and waylay (block the way) and you commit shameful deeds (obscenities) in your assemblies? But nothing was the answer of his people except that they said; bring on us Allah’s torment (punishment) if you are one of the truthful.
29/Al-Ankabut-30: Qala rabbi onsurnee AAala alqawmi almufsideena
He (Abraham) said: My Lord! Help me against the mischievous people! (Al-Mufsidûn).
29/Al-Ankabut-31: Walamma jaat rusuluna ibraheema bialbushra qaloo inna muhlikoo ahli hathihi alqaryati inna ahlaha kanoo thalimeena
And when Our Messengers came to Abraham with the glad tidings, they said: Surely we are going to destroy the people of this [Lût (Lot’s)] town; truly its people have been wrong-doers.
29/Al-Ankabut-32: Qala inna feeha lootan qaloo nahnu aAAlamu biman feeha lanunajjiyannahu waahlahu illa imraatahu kanat mina alghabireena
He (Abraham) said: Surely in it is Lot. They said: We know well who is in it; we shall certainly deliver him and his household (followers), except his wife: she shall be of those who remain behind.
29/Al-Ankabut-33: Walamma an jaat rusuluna lootan seea bihim wadaqa bihim tharAAan waqaloo la takhaf wala tahzan inna munajjooka waahlaka illa imraataka kanat mina alghabireena
And when Our Messengers came to Lot, he was grieved because of them and felt straitened on their account. They (the Messengers) said: Fear not, nor grieve; surely we will deliver you and your household, except your wife; she shall be of those who remain behind.
29/Al-Ankabut-34: Inna munziloona AAala ahli hathihi alqaryati rijzan mina alssamai bima kanoo yafsuqoona
Surely We are about to bring down upon the people of this town a filth (a terrible torment) from the heaven because they have been transgressors (perverse; those who are not in the Way of Allah or have gone out of it).
29/Al-Ankabut-35: Walaqad tarakna minha ayatan bayyinatan liqawmin yaAAqiloona
And certainly We have left a clear Sign of it (filth, terrible torment) for a people who use their mind (intelligence).
29/Al-Ankabut-36: Waila madyana akhahum shuAAayban faqala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha waorjoo alyawma alakhira wala taAAthaw fee alardi mufsideena
And to Midian (We sent) their brother Shu’aib, so he said: O my people! Serve (become servants to) Allah and hope (wish) for the latter day (the day of reaching Allah before dying) and do not cause trouble (disorder) in the earth, making mischief.
29/Al-Ankabut-37: Fakaththaboohu faakhathathumu alrrajfatu faasbahoo fee darihim jathimeena
And they denied (belied) him, so a severe earthquake overtook them and morning found them as knelt down in their dwelling place (they have perished).
29/Al-Ankabut-38: WaAAadan wathamooda waqad tabayyana lakum min masakinihim wazayyana lahumu alshshaytanu aAAmalahum fasaddahum AAani alssabeeli wakanoo mustabsireena
And (the tribes of) ‘Âd and Thamûd! (Their fate) is manifest to you from their (ruined and deserted) dwellings; and Satan made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so he kept them back from the Way (of Allah), though they were endowed with intelligence and skill [and they could sight (but) they denied seemingly].
29/Al-Ankabut-39: Waqaroona wafirAAawna wahamana walaqad jaahum moosa bialbayyinati faistakbaroo fee alardi wama kanoo sabiqeena
And (We destroyed) Korah (Qârûn), Pharaoh (Fir’aun) and Hâmân! And certainly Moses (Mûsâ) came to them with the clear arguments, but they were boastful (puffed up) in the land; yet they could not outstrip (Our torment, punishment).
29/Al-Ankabut-40: Fakullan akhathna bithanbihi faminhum man arsalna AAalayhi hasiban waminhum man akhathathu alssayhatu waminhum man khasafna bihi alarda waminhum man aghraqna wama kana Allahu liyathlimahum walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona
So each We seized with his sins; of them were some on whom We sent Hâsib (a violent wind with shower of stones), and of them were some who were taken by As-Saihah (a terrible soundwave) and of them were some whom We caused the earth to swallow up and of them were some whom We drowned. It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged themselves (their own souls).
29/Al-Ankabut-41: Mathalu allatheena ittakhathoo min dooni Allahi awliyaa kamathali alAAankabooti ittakhathat baytan wainna awhana albuyooti labaytu alAAankabooti law kanoo yaAAlamoona
The parable (likeness) of those who take protecting friends (Auliyâ) besides Allah is as the parable of the spider that takes unto herself a house; and most surely the frailest (weakest) of the houses is the spider’s house, if they but knew!
29/Al-Ankabut-42: Inna Allaha yaAAlamu ma yadAAoona min doonihi min shayin wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu
Surely Allah knows whatever thing they call upon besides Him; and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise (the Owner of Judgement and Wisdom).
29/Al-Ankabut-43: Watilka alamthalu nadribuha lilnnasi wama yaAAqiluha illa alAAalimoona
And (as for) these examples (similitudes), We set them forth for men and none understand them but the learned (savants).
29/Al-Ankabut-44: Khalaqa Allahu alssamawati waalarda bialhaqqi inna fee thalika laayatan lilmumineena
Allah created the heavens and the earth with the truth; most surely there is a Sign in this for the believers.
29/Al-Ankabut-45: Otlu ma oohiya ilayka mina alkitabi waaqimi alssalata inna alssalata tanha AAani alfahshai waalmunkari walathikru Allahi akbaru waAllahu yaAAlamu ma tasnaAAoona
Recite (read and explain to others) that which has been revealed to you of the Book and keep up the Prayer (As-Salât), surely the Prayer keeps (one) away from Al-Fahshâ’ (i.e. great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse, obscenity) and Al-Munkar (the denial, all that Allah has forbidden) and certainly the Remembrance (the repetition of the Name of) Allah is the greatest, and Allah knows what you do.
29/Al-Ankabut-46: Wala tujadiloo ahla alkitabi illa biallatee hiya ahsanu illa allatheena thalamoo minhum waqooloo amanna biallathee onzila ilayna waonzila ilaykum wailahuna wailahukum wahidun wanahnu lahu muslimoona
And do not dispute (argue) with the people of the Book except by what is best, except with such of them who are iniquitous, and say: We believe in that which has been sent down to us and sent down to you, and our God and your God id One and to Him do we submit (surrender).
29/Al-Ankabut-47: Wakathalika anzalna ilayka alkitaba faallatheena ataynahumu alkitaba yuminoona bihi wamin haolai man yuminu bihi wama yajhadu biayatina illa alkafiroona
And thus have We sent down the Book (the Qur’ân) to you. So those whom We have given the Book (the Torah, the Gospel) believe in it, and of these there are those who believe in it (in the Qur’ân), and none deny knowingly Our Verses (Signs) except the disbelievers.
29/Al-Ankabut-48: Wama kunta tatloo min qablihi min kitabin wala takhuttuhu biyameenika ithan lairtaba almubtiloona
And you did not recite before it any book, nor did you transcribe one with your right hand, for then the talkers of vanities could have doubted.
29/Al-Ankabut-49: Bal huwa ayatun bayyinatun fee sudoori allatheena ootoo alAAilma wama yajhadu biayatina illa alththalimoona
Nay! it (the Qur’ân) is clear Verses (Signs) in the breasts of those who have been given knowledge; and none deny knowingly Our Verses (Signs) except the wrong-doers.
29/Al-Ankabut-50: Waqaloo lawla onzila AAalayhi ayatun min rabbihi qul innama alayatu AAinda Allahi wainnama ana natheerun mubeenun
And they said: Should not the Signs (miracles) have been sent down upon him from his Lord? Say: The Signs (miracles) are only in the Presence of Allah, and I am only a plain warner.
29/Al-Ankabut-51: Awalam yakfihim anna anzalna AAalayka alkitaba yutla AAalayhim inna fee thalika larahmatan wathikra liqawmin yuminoona
Is it not enough for them that We have sent down to you the Book (the Qur’ân) which is recited (read and explained) to them? Most surely there is indeed Mercy in this and a reminder (remembrance, dhikr) for a people who believe.
29/Al-Ankabut-52: Qul kafa biAllahi baynee wabaynakum shaheedan yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawati waalardi waallatheena amanoo bialbatili wakafaroo biAllahi olaika humu alkhasiroona
Allah is Sufficient as a Witness between me and you; He knows what is in the heavens and the earth. And (as for) those who believe in the falsehood (vanity, Bâtıl) and disbelieve in Allah, these it is that are the losers (these it is that are in Loss, Husrân, deserving of Hell).
29/Al-Ankabut-53: WayastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabi walawla ajalun musamman lajaahumu alAAathabu walayatiyannahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona
And they ask you to hasten on the torment (punishment). And if a term had not been appointed, the torment would certainly have come to them; and most surely it will come to them all of a sudden while they will not perceive.
29/Al-Ankabut-54: YastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabi wainna jahannama lamuheetatun bialkafireena
They ask you to hasten on the torment (punishment); and most surely Hell encompasses the disbelievers.
29/Al-Ankabut-55: Yawma yaghshahumu alAAathabu min fawqihim wamin tahti arjulihim wayaqoolu thooqoo ma kuntum taAAmaloona
On the Day when the torment shall cover them completely from above them and from underneath their feet; and He shall say: Taste what you used to do.
29/Al-Ankabut-56: Ya AAibadiya allatheena amanoo inna ardee wasiAAatun faiyyaya faoAAbudooni
O My servants who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah while they are living)! Surely My earth is spacious (vast), therefore Me Alone should you serve (To Me Alone should you become servants)!
29/Al-Ankabut-57: Kullu nafsin thaiqatu almawti thumma ilayna turjaAAoona
Every soul must (shall) taste of death, then to Us you shall be brought back (returned).
29/Al-Ankabut-58: Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lanubawwiannahum mina aljannati ghurafan tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha niAAma ajru alAAamileena
And (as for) those who believe (become âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before dying) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s purification), We will certainly house them in lofty dwellings of the Garden (Paradise), underneath which the rivers flow, abiding therein (forever), (How) excellent (shall be) the reward (wage) of the workers!
29/Al-Ankabut-59: Allatheena sabaroo waAAala rabbihim yatawakkaloona
Those who are the owners of patience and in their Lord do they put their trust.
29/Al-Ankabut-60: Wakaayyin min dabbatin la tahmilu rizqaha Allahu yarzuquha waiyyakum wahuwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
And how many a moving (living) creature (Dâbbeh) that does not carry its sustenance: Allah sustains it and yourselves; and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
29/Al-Ankabut-61: Walain saaltahum man khalaqa alssamawati waalarda wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamara layaqoolunna Allahu faanna yufakoona
And if you ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth and made the sun and the moon subservient, they will certainly say: Allah. So, how are they turned away (from the truth to the falsehood, vanity?).
29/Al-Ankabut-62: Allahu yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao min AAibadihi wayaqdiru lahu inna Allaha bikulli shayin AAaleemun
Allah enlarges the provision (sustenance) for whom He wills of His servants, and straitens (measures) it for whom (He wills). Verily, Allah is the All-Knower of everything.
29/Al-Ankabut-63: Walain saaltahum man nazzala mina alssamai maan faahya bihi alarda min baAAdi mawtiha layaqoolunna Allahu quli alhamdu lillahi bal aktharuhum la yaAAqiloona
And if you ask them: Who is it that sends down water (rain) from the sky, then gives life to the earth with it after its death, they will certainly say: Allah. Say: All praise is due to Allah. Nay, most of them do not understand (use their mind).
29/Al-Ankabut-64: Wama hathihi alhayatu alddunya illa lahwun walaAAibun wainna alddara alakhirata lahiya alhayawanu law kanoo yaAAlamoona
And this life of the world is only an amusement (a pastime) and a play; verily the Home of the Hereafter, that most surely is the life indeed, if they but knew.
29/Al-Ankabut-65: Faitha rakiboo fee alfulki daAAawoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena falamma najjahum ila albarri itha hum yushrikoona
So when they embark on a ship, they call upon Allah, making their religion pure for Him only; but when He brings them safely to the land, behold, they associate others (with Him)!
29/Al-Ankabut-66: Liyakfuroo bima ataynahum waliyatamattaAAoo fasawfa yaAAlamoona
So that they become ungrateful for (disbelieve in) what We have given them, and that they may enjoy (benefit).
29/Al-Ankabut-67: Awalam yaraw anna jaAAalna haraman aminan wayutakhattafu alnnasu min hawlihim afabialbatili yuminoona wabiniAAmati Allahi yakfuroona
Do they not see that We have made a sacred territory secure (from violence), when men are being snatched away (carried off by force) from all around them? Will they still believe in the falsehood (vanity) and disbelieve in the Blessing(s) of Allah?
29/Al-Ankabut-68: Waman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba bialhaqqi lamma jaahu alaysa fee jahannama mathwan lilkafireena
And who does more wrong than one who forges a lie against Allah, or gives the lie to denies) the truth when it has come to him? Is there not a Dwelling (a Home, an Abode) in Hell for the disbelievers?
29/Al-Ankabut-69: Waallatheena jahadoo feena lanahdiyannahum subulana wainna Allaha lamaAAa almuhsineena
And (as for) those who strive hard in Us, We will most certainly guide them to Our Ways and Allah is most surely with the good doers (Al-Muhsinîn).
