Sura List » Al-Anfal

8/Al-Anfal-1: Yasaloonaka AAani alanfali quli alanfalu lillahi waalrrasooli faittaqoo Allaha waaslihoo thata baynikum waateeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu in kuntum mumineena
They ask you (O Muhammad) about the spoils of war. Say: The spoils of war (windfalls) are for Allah and the Messenger, so have piety towards Allah and amend the matters among you, and obey Allah and His Messenger if you are believers.

8/Al-Anfal-2: Innama almuminoona allatheena itha thukira Allahu wajilat quloobuhum waitha tuliyat AAalayhim ayatuhu zadathum eemanan waAAala rabbihim yatawakkaloona
Those only are believers whose hearts tremble (shiver) when Allah is mentioned and when His Verses (Signs…) are read and explained to them, they increase them in Faith, and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone).

8/Al-Anfal-3: Allatheena yuqeemoona alssalata wamimma razaqnahum yunfiqoona
Those who keep up the Prayer and spend out of what We have given them as sustenance.

8/Al-Anfal-4: Olaika humu almuminoona haqqan lahum darajatun AAinda rabbihim wamaghfiratun warizqun kareemun
These are the believers in truth; for them are grades with (near to) their Lord and a Forgiveness (the changing of evil deeds into rewards) and an honorable (munificent) sustenance.

8/Al-Anfal-5: Kama akhrajaka rabbuka min baytika bialhaqqi wainna fareeqan mina almumineena lakarihoona
Even as your Lord caused you to go forth from your home with the truth, though a party of the believers were surely averse (to it) (unwilling).

8/Al-Anfal-6: Yujadiloonaka fee alhaqqi baAAdama tabayyana kaannama yusaqoona ila almawti wahum yanthuroona
They disputed with you about the truth after it (the state) had become clear, as if they were being driven to death visibly [while they were looking (at it)].

8/Al-Anfal-7: Waith yaAAidukumu Allahu ihda alttaifatayni annaha lakum watawaddoona anna ghayra thati alshshawkati takoonu lakum wayureedu Allahu an yuhiqqa alhaqqa bikalimatihi wayaqtaAAa dabira alkafireena
And when Allah promised you one of the two parties that it should be yours and you loved that the one not armed should be yours, and Allah willed that the truth should be realized with His Words and that He should cut off the back (the continuation of the progeny) of the disbelievers.

8/Al-Anfal-8: Liyuhiqqa alhaqqa wayubtila albatila walaw kariha almujrimoona
That He may manifest the truth of what was true and show the falsehood of what was false, though the criminals (the guilty) disliked.

8/Al-Anfal-9: Ith tastagheethoona rabbakum faistajaba lakum annee mumiddukum bialfin mina almalaikati murdifeena
(Remember) when you sought help from your Lord, so He answered you: I will assist you with a thousand of the angles each behind the other in succession (rank on rank).

8/Al-Anfal-10: Wama jaAAalahu Allahu illa bushra walitatmainna bihi quloobukum wama alnnasru illa min AAindi Allahi inna Allaha AAazeezun hakeemun
Allah made it only as glad tidings, and that your hearts be at rest (satisfied) with it, and there is no victory except from Allah. Surely, Allah is All-Mighty (the Owner of Absolute Excellence), All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment and Wisdom).

8/Al-Anfal-11: Ith yughashsheekumu alnnuAAasa amanatan minhu wayunazzilu AAalaykum mina alssamai maan liyutahhirakum bihi wayuthhiba AAankum rijza alshshaytani waliyarbita AAala quloobikum wayuthabbita bihi alaqdama
(Remember) when He covered you with a slumber as a security from Him, and sent down upon you water (rain) from the sky that He might purify you thereby and take away from you the uncleanness of Satan and that He might fortify (bind) your hearts and steady (your) footsteps thereby.

8/Al-Anfal-12: Ith yoohee rabbuka ila almalaikati annee maAAakum fathabbitoo allatheena amanoo saolqee fee quloobi allatheena kafaroo alrruAAba faidriboo fawqa alaAAnaqi waidriboo minhum kulla bananin
When your Lord revealed to the angels: Verily, I am with you, so keep firm those who have believed (who have become âmenû, those who have wished to reach Allah). I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, so strike them over the necks, and smite of them each fingertips.

8/Al-Anfal-13: Thalika biannahum shaqqoo Allaha warasoolahu waman yushaqiqi Allaha warasoolahu fainna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi
This is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger; and whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger, then Allah is Severe in requiting (evil).

8/Al-Anfal-14: Thalikum fathooqoohu waanna lilkafireena AAathaba alnnari
This is (the torment), so taste it; and surely for the disbelievers is the torment of the Fire.

8/Al-Anfal-15: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha laqeetumu allatheena kafaroo zahfan fala tuwalloohumu aladbara
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! When you meet those who disbelieve, in a battlefield, then do not turn backs to them.

8/Al-Anfal-16: Waman yuwallihim yawmaithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fiatin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wamawahu jahannamu wabisa almaseeru
And whoever turns his back to them on such a day, unless maneuvering for battle or intending to join a company, then he truly has incurred Wrath from Allah and his abode is Hell, an evil journey’s end.

8/Al-Anfal-17: Falam taqtuloohum walakinna Allaha qatalahum wama ramayta ith ramayta walakinna Allaha rama waliyubliya almumineena minhu balaan hasanan inna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun
So you did not kill them, but it was Allah Who killed them and you did not throw when you threw, but it was Allah Who threw, that He might test the believers by a fair trial from Him. Verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

8/Al-Anfal-18: Thalikum waanna Allaha moohinu kaydi alkafireena
That (is the case); and (know) that Allah is the Weakener of the plot(s) of the disbelievers.

8/Al-Anfal-19: In tastaftihoo faqad jaakumu alfathu wain tantahoo fahuwa khayrun lakum wain taAAoodoo naAAud walan tughniya AAankum fiatukum shayan walaw kathurat waanna Allaha maAAa almumineena
If you ask for a conquest, the conquest has then indeed come to you (to the army that is honorable) and if you desist (from fighting, from opposing), it will be better for you, but if you return (to the war, to denial), We (too) shall return, and your host will be of no avail to you however numerous it be, and verily Allah is with the believers.

8/Al-Anfal-20: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ateeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu wala tawallaw AAanhu waantum tasmaAAoona
O you who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before dying)! Obey Allah and His Messenger and do not turn back from him(the Messenger) while you hear (the Qur’ân).

8/Al-Anfal-21: Wala takoonoo kaallatheena qaloo samiAAna wahum la yasmaAAoona
And be not like those who say: We have heard, while they do not hear.

8/Al-Anfal-22: Inna sharra alddawabbi AAinda Allahi alssummu albukmu allatheena la yaAAqiloona
Surely the vilest of animals (that walk on the earth) in Allah’s Sight (with Allah) are the deaf, the dumb, who do not understand.

8/Al-Anfal-23: Walaw AAalima Allahu feehim khayran laasmaAAahum walaw asmaAAahum latawallaw wahum muAAridoona
And if Allah had known of any good in them, He would have made them hear, and if He makes them hear, they would turn back while they withdraw.

8/Al-Anfal-24: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo istajeeboo lillahi walilrrasooli itha daAAakum lima yuhyeekum waiAAlamoo anna Allaha yahoolu bayna almari waqalbihi waannahu ilayhi tuhsharoona
O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah)! Answer (the Call of) Allah and the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life; and know that Allah intervenes between the man and his heart and that to Him you shall be gathered [the spirits of you all will be gathered together in Allah and Allah shall be a Refuge (a place of return) to your spirits].

8/Al-Anfal-25: Waittaqoo fitnatan la tuseebanna allatheena thalamoo minkum khassatan waiAAlamoo anna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi
And guard yourselves against the Fitnah (affliction, trial, disorder…) which may not light (fall) exclusively on those of you who are wrongdoers and know that Allah is Severe in punishment.

8/Al-Anfal-26: Waothkuroo ith antum qaleelun mustadAAafoona fee alardi takhafoona an yatakhattafakumu alnnasu faawakum waayyadakum binasrihi warazaqakum mina alttayyibati laAAallakum tashkuroona
And remember when you were few, deemed weak in the land, fearing that people might carry you off by force (kidnap you), but He sheltered you and strengthened you with His Aid and gave you of the good and clean things that you may give thanks.

8/Al-Anfal-27: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la takhoonoo Allaha waalrrasoola watakhoonoo amanatikum waantum taAAlamoona
O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah before dying)! Do not betray Allah and His Messenger, and you betray knowingly your trusts (too).

8/Al-Anfal-28: WaiAAlamoo annama amwalukum waawladukum fitnatun waanna Allaha AAindahu ajrun AAatheemun
And know that your property (your possessions) and your children are a test, [a trial, a temptation, (Fitnatun)] and that surely with Allah is a Mighty Reward (’ecrun azîm=a Great Wage).

8/Al-Anfal-29: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in tattaqoo Allaha yajAAal lakum furqanan wayukaffir AAankum sayyiatikum wayaghfir lakum waAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi
O you who believe (in Allah)! If you have piety towards Allah (by wishing to reach Allah before dying), He gives you a Discrimination (a Distinction, A Criterion between right and wrong…) and expiates for you your sins (does away with your evils) and forgives you. And Allah is the Owner of the Great Bounty [of (the Light) of great Virtue].

8/Al-Anfal-30: Waith yamkuru bika allatheena kafaroo liyuthbitooka aw yaqtulooka aw yukhrijooka wayamkuroona wayamkuru Allahu waAllahu khayru almakireena
And (remember) when those who disbelieved plotted against you that they might confine you or kill you or drive you away; they plotted and Allah too had arranged a Plan; and Allah is the Best of planners.

8/Al-Anfal-31: Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna qaloo qad samiAAna law nashao laqulna mithla hatha in hatha illa asateeru alawwaleena
And when Our Verses are recited (read and explained) to them, they say: We have heard indeed; If we wish we can say the like of this; this is nothing but the tales of the ancients (of the men of old).

8/Al-Anfal-32: Waith qaloo allahumma in kana hatha huwa alhaqqa min AAindika faamtir AAalayna hijaratan mina alssamai awi itina biAAathabin aleemin
And when they said: O Allah! If this (the Qur’ân) is indeed the truth (the Book) from You, then rain down upon us stones from the sky or bring on us a painful torment.

8/Al-Anfal-33: Wama kana Allahu liyuAAaththibahum waanta feehim wama kana Allahu muAAaththibahum wahum yastaghfiroona
And (but) Allah would not punish them while you were among them, not will he punish them while yet they ask for forgiveness.

8/Al-Anfal-34: Wama lahum alla yuAAaththibahumu Allahu wahum yasuddoona AAani almasjidi alharami wama kanoo awliyaahu in awliyaohu illa almuttaqoona walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona
And why should not Allah punish them while they hinder (men) from the Inviolable Mosque (Al-Masjıd- Al-Haram) and they are not (Allah’s) Friends. His Friends are only the owners of piety, but most of them do not know.

8/Al-Anfal-35: Wama kana salatuhum AAinda albayti illa mukaan watasdiyatan fathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum takfuroona
And their prayer before the House (of Allah, i.e. the Ka’bah at Makkah) is nothing but whistling and clapping of hands; taste then the torment (punishment) because you used to disbelieve.

8/Al-Anfal-36: Inna allatheena kafaroo yunfiqoona amwalahum liyasuddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi fasayunfiqoonaha thumma takoonu AAalayhim hasratan thumma yughlaboona waallatheena kafaroo ila jahannama yuhsharoona
Surely those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (people) from the Way of Allah; so they shall spend it, then it shall be to them an intense regret (anguish), then they will be overcome; and those who disbelieve will be gathered to Hell.

8/Al-Anfal-37: Liyameeza Allahu alkhabeetha mina alttayyibi wayajAAala alkhabeetha baAAdahu AAala baAAdin fayarkumahu jameeAAan fayajAAalahu fee jahannama olaika humu alkhasiroona
That Allah might separate the impure from the good and clean, and put the impure, some of it upon the other, and pile it up together, then cast it into Hell; these it is that the losers (that have undergone the Loss).

8/Al-Anfal-38: Qul lillatheena kafaroo in yantahoo yughfar lahum ma qad salafa wain yaAAoodoo faqad madat sunnatu alawwaleena
Say to those who disbelieve, if they desist, that which is past shall be forgiven to them, and if they return (to disbelief, to enmity) then what happened to the ancients has already passed (the Divine Law will be carried out for them just like it was carried out for the nations which had passed).

8/Al-Anfal-39: Waqatiloohum hatta la takoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu kulluhu lillahi faini intahaw fainna Allaha bima yaAAmaloona baseerun
And fight with them until there is no more persecution (Fitnatun, disorder…) and the Religion is all for Allah; but if they desist (from disbelief), then surely, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.

8/Al-Anfal-40: Wain tawallaw faiAAlamoo anna Allaha mawlakum niAAma almawla waniAAma alnnaseeru
And if they turn away (back), then know that Allah is your Befriender (Maulâ, Patron, Protector and Supporter) and (what) an Excellent Helper!

8/Al-Anfal-41: WaiAAlamoo annama ghanimtum min shayin faanna lillahi khumusahu walilrrasooli walithee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeni waibni alssabeeli in kuntum amantum biAllahi wama anzalna AAala AAabdina yawma alfurqani yawma iltaqa aljamAAani waAllahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
And know that whatever you take as spoils of war, a fifth of it is for Allah and for the Messenger and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, if you believe in Allah and in that which We sent down to our servant, on the day of Discrimination (the Criterion between right and wrong, Furqân), the day when the two parties (forces, armies) met; and Allah has Power over all things.

8/Al-Anfal-42: Ith antum bialAAudwati alddunya wahum bialAAudwati alquswa waalrrakbu asfala minkum walaw tawaAAadtum laikhtalaftum fee almeeAAadi walakin liyaqdiya Allahu amran kana mafAAoolan liyahlika man halaka AAan bayyinatin wayahya man hayya AAan bayyinatin wainna Allaha lasameeAAun AAaleemun
When you were on the near bank (of the valley on the Madîna side) and they were on the farther side (on the Makkah side), and the caravan was in a lower place than you (on the coastal plain); and if you would certainly have broken away from the appointment, but (it happened, as it did, without the forethought of either of you) that Allah might bring about a matter which was to be done, that he who would perish might perish by clear proof, and he who would live might live by clear proof; and most surely Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

8/Al-Anfal-43: Ith yureekahumu Allahu fee manamika qaleelan walaw arakahum katheeran lafashiltum walatanazaAAtum fee alamri walakinna Allaha sallama innahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori
Allah showed them to you in your dream as few; and if He had shown them to you as many, you would certainly have become weak-hearted and you would have disputed about the matter, but Allah saved (you); surely Allah is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts.

8/Al-Anfal-44: Waith yureekumoohum ithi iltaqaytum fee aAAyunikum qaleelan wayuqallilukum fee aAAyunihim liyaqdiya Allahu amran kana mafAAoolan waila Allahi turjaAAu alomooru
And when He showed them to you, when you met (them), as few in your eyes and He made you to appear little in their eyes, in order that Allah might bring about a matter (an order) which was to be done, and to Allah are all affairs (Orders) returned.

8/Al-Anfal-45: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha laqeetum fiatan faothbutoo waothkuroo Allaha katheeran laAAallakum tuflihoona
O you who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before dying)! When you meet a party (an enemy force), then be firm and remember (repeat the Name of) Allah much, that you may be successful (attain to the Salvation).

8/Al-Anfal-46: WaateeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu wala tanazaAAoo fatafshaloo watathhaba reehukum waisbiroo inna Allaha maAAa alssabireena
And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute (with one another) [do not fall into disagreement] lest you falter (you become weak in hearts) and your strength departs (from you) and be patient; surely Allah is with the patient.

8/Al-Anfal-47: Wala takoonoo kaallatheena kharajoo min diyarihim bataran wariaa alnnasi wayasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi waAllahu bima yaAAmaloona muheetun
And be not like those who came forth from their homes boasfully and to be seen of men, and (who) turn away from the Way of Allah, and Allah is encircling and thoroughly comprehending (Muhîtun) all that they do.

8/Al-Anfal-48: Waith zayyana lahumu alshshaytanu aAAmalahum waqala la ghaliba lakumu alyawma mina alnnasi wainnee jarun lakum falamma taraati alfiatani nakasa AAala AAaqibayhi waqala innee bareeon minkum innee ara ma la tarawna innee akhafu Allaha waAllahu shadeedu alAAiqabi
And when Satan made their works fair-seeming to them, and said: No one of the men can overcome you this day (of the battle of Badr) and verily, I am your neighbor (for each and every help): but when the two parties (forces, armies) came in sight of each other, he turned upon his heels, and said: Surely I am clear (guiltless) of you, surely I see what you do not see, surely I fear Allah; and Allah is Severe in requiting (evil).

8/Al-Anfal-49: Ith yaqoolu almunafiqoona waallatheena fee quloobihim maradun gharra haolai deenuhum waman yatawakkal AAala Allahi fainna Allaha AAazeezun hakeemun
When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was a disease said: Their religion has deceived (deluded) these; and whoever puts his trust in Allah, then surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

8/Al-Anfal-50: Walaw tara ith yatawaffa allatheena kafaroo almalaikatu yadriboona wujoohahum waadbarahum wathooqoo AAathaba alhareeqi
And if you had seen when the angels cause to die those who disbelieve, smiting their faces and their backs and (saying): Taste the torment of burning.

8/Al-Anfal-51: Thalika bima qaddamat aydeekum waanna Allaha laysa bithallamin lilAAabeedi
This is because of that which your hands had forwarded, and because Allah is not in the least unjust to the servants.

8/Al-Anfal-52: Kadabi ali firAAawna waallatheena min qablihim kafaroo biayati Allahi faakhathahumu Allahu bithunoobihim inna Allaha qawiyyun shadeedu alAAiqabi
In the manner of the people of Pharaoh and those before them; they disbelieved in Allah’s Verses (Signs, miracles…), therefore Allah took them on account of their faults (sins); surely Allah is All-Strong, Severe in punishment.

8/Al-Anfal-53: Thalika bianna Allaha lam yaku mughayyiran niAAmatan anAAamaha AAala qawmin hatta yughayyiroo ma bianfusihim waanna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun
This is because Allah never changes the Blessing he has bestowed on any people until they (first) change what is in their ownselves (in their own souls). And verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

8/Al-Anfal-54: Kadabi ali firAAawna waallatheena min qablihim kaththaboo biayati rabbihim faahlaknahum bithunoobihim waaghraqna ala firAAawna wakullun kanoo thalimeena
Their state (that of the Quraish tribe that was fighting at Badr) is as the state of Pharaoh’s people and those before them; they denied (belied) the Verses (Signs…) of their Lord, therefore We destroyed them because of their faults (sins) and We drowned the people of Pharaoh, and they were all wrong-doers.

8/Al-Anfal-55: Inna sharra alddawabbi AAinda Allahi allatheena kafaroo fahum la yuminoona
Surely the vilest of animals (that walk on the earth) with Allah (in Allah’s Sight) are those who disbelieve (the ungrateful), then they shall not believe.

8/Al-Anfal-56: Allatheena AAahadta minhum thumma yanqudoona AAahdahum fee kulli marratin wahum la yattaqoona
They are those with whom you made a covenant, but they break their covenant every time and they are not the owners of piety.

8/Al-Anfal-57: Faimma tathqafannahum fee alharbi fasharrid bihim man khalfahum laAAallahum yaththakkaroona
Therefore if you overtake them in the war, deal with them so as to strike fear in those who are behind them, that perhaps they may remember (deliberate).

8/Al-Anfal-58: Waimma takhafanna min qawmin khiyanatan fainbith ilayhim AAala sawain inna Allaha la yuhibbu alkhaineena
If you fear treachery on the part of a people, then throw back to them (their covenant) on terms of equality; surely Allah does not love the treacherous.

8/Al-Anfal-59: Wala yahsabanna allatheena kafaroo sabaqoo innahum la yuAAjizoona
And let not those who disbelieve suppose (reckon) that they can outstrip (Allah’s purpose) Assuredly, they cannot escape [they cannot render (Allah) impotent].

8/Al-Anfal-60: WaaAAiddoo lahum ma istataAAtum min quwwatin wamin ribati alkhayli turhiboona bihi AAaduwwa Allahi waAAaduwwakum waakhareena min doonihim la taAAlamoonahumu Allahu yaAAlamuhum wama tunfiqoo min shayin fee sabeeli Allahi yuwaffa ilaykum waantum la tuthlamoona
And prepare against them what force you can and horses tethered (fed for war), that thereby you may dismay the enemy of Allah and your enemy, and others besides them whom you do not know. Allah knows them; and whatever thing you spend in the Way of Allah, it will be paid back to you fully and you shall not be wronged.

8/Al-Anfal-61: Wain janahoo lilssalmi faijnah laha watawakkal AAala Allahi innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
And if they incline to peace, then incline (also) to it and (put your) trust in Allah. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

8/Al-Anfal-62: Wain yureedoo an yakhdaAAooka fainna hasbaka Allahu huwa allathee ayyadaka binasrihi wabialmumineena
And if they want to deceive you, then surely Allah is All-Sufficient for you. He it is Who has supported you with His help and with the believers.

8/Al-Anfal-63: Waallafa bayna quloobihim law anfaqta ma fee alardi jameeAAan ma allafta bayna quloobihim walakinna Allaha allafa baynahum innahu AAazeezun hakeemun
And He has united their hearts (with love). If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but Allah has united them. Certainly He is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

8/Al-Anfal-64: Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu hasbuka Allahu wamani ittabaAAaka mina almumineena
O Prophet! Allah is Sufficient for you and for those who have depended on you of the believers.

8/Al-Anfal-65: Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu harridi almumineena AAala alqitali in yakun minkum AAishroona sabiroona yaghliboo miatayni wain yakun minkum miatun yaghliboo alfan mina allatheena kafaroo biannahum qawmun la yafqahoona
O Prophet! Urge the believers to fight; if there are twenty patient ones of you, they shall overcome two hundred, and if there are a hundred of you, they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they are a people who do not understand.

8/Al-Anfal-66: Alana khaffafa Allahu AAankum waAAalima anna feekum daAAfan fain yakun minkum miatun sabiratun yaghliboo miatayni wain yakun minkum alfun yaghliboo alfayni biithni Allahi waAllahu maAAa alssabireena
For the present Allah has made light your burden, and He knows that there is weakness in you; so if there are a hundred patient ones of you, they shall overcome two hundred, and if there are a thousand, they shall overcome two thousand by Allah’s Permission; and Allah is with the patient.

8/Al-Anfal-67: Ma kana linabiyyin an yakoona lahu asra hatta yuthkhina fee alardi tureedoona AAarada alddunya waAllahu yureedu alakhirata waAllahu AAazeezun hakeemun
It is not (fit) for a prophet that he should take captives (of war) unless he has fought and triumphed definitely in the land; you desire the frail goods of the world, while Allah desires (for you) the Hereafter; and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

8/Al-Anfal-68: Lawla kitabun mina Allahi sabaqa lamassakum feema akhathtum AAathabun AAatheemun
Were it nor for a Writing (an ordinance) from Allah (in the Guarded Tablet) that had already gone forth, surely a severe torment would have touched you for what (ransom) you took.

8/Al-Anfal-69: Fakuloo mimma ghanimtum halalan tayyiban waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun
Eat then of the good, clean and lawful things, which you have gotten of booty in war and have piety towards Allah; surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful

8/Al-Anfal-70: Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu qul liman fee aydeekum mina alasra in yaAAlami Allahu fee quloobikum khayran yutikum khayran mimma okhitha minkum wayaghfir lakum waAllahu ghafoorun raheemun
O Prophet! Say to those of the captives who are in your hands: If Allah knows any good in your hearts, He will give to you better than that which has been taken away from you, and He will forgive you, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

8/Al-Anfal-71: Wain yureedoo khiyanataka faqad khanoo Allaha min qablu faamkana minhum waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun
And if they would betray you, they indeed betrayed Allah before. So He gave (you) power over them [So He gave (you) some means against them].

8/Al-Anfal-72: Inna allatheena amanoo wahajaroo wajahadoo biamwalihim waanfusihim fee sabeeli Allahi waallatheena awaw wanasaroo olaika baAAduhum awliyao baAAdin waallatheena amanoo walam yuhajiroo ma lakum min walayatihim min shayin hatta yuhajiroo waini istansarookum fee alddeeni faAAalaykumu alnnasru illa AAala qawmin baynakum wabaynahum meethaqun waAllahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun
Verily those who believed (who wished to reach Allah before death) and emigrated and strove with their property and their souls in the Way of Allah and those who gave shelter and helped, these are protecting friends of one another. And as to those who believed but did not emigrate (to you), you owe no duty of protection to them until they emigrate; but if they seek your help in religion, it is your duty to help them except against a people with whom you have a covenant (a treaty), and Allah is All-Seer of what you do.

8/Al-Anfal-73: Waallatheena kafaroo baAAduhum awliyao baAAdin illa tafAAaloohu takun fitnatun fee alardi wafasadun kabeerun
And (as for) those who disbelieve, some of them are the protecting friends of others; if you do not do it (if you do not become the protecting friends of one another too) there will be in the land (earth) persecution (confusion, disorder, Fitnah…) and a great mischief (corruption).

8/Al-Anfal-74: Waallatheena amanoo wahajaroo wajahadoo fee sabeeli Allahi waallatheena awaw wanasaroo olaika humu almuminoona haqqan lahum maghfiratun warizqun kareemun
And those who believed (became âmenû, wished to reach Allah before dying) and emigrated and strove hard in the Way of Allah, as well as those who gave (them) shelter and helped, these are the believers in truth, for them is forgiveness and a generous (honorable) sustenance (provision).

8/Al-Anfal-75: Waallatheena amanoo min baAAdu wahajaroo wajahadoo maAAakum faolaika minkum waoloo alarhami baAAduhum awla bibaAAdin fee kitabi Allahi inna Allaha bikulli shayin AAaleemun
And those who believed (became âmenû…) afterwards and emigrated and strove hard along with you (in the Way of Allah), they are of you. But kindred by blood are nearer to one another (regarding inheritance) in the Book of Allah (in the Ordinance of Allah). Verily, Allah is the All-Knower of everything.
